God is capable of expressing emotion. Emotion arises from and is necessary to personality.

Emotion is defined as the affective aspect of consciousness. God is expressed in areas of knowing, feeling, caring, preferring, and choosing.

Although God is an emotional being, his self -determination is not out of balance with the rest of his attributes.

So, God cannot make a purely emotional decision. We have emotions because God has communicated them to us.

Because God has emotions, we have emotions. This is part of our personality because we're made in the image of God.
