This is a ministry of striving for eternity. So talking about evangelism and the fear we can have in evangelism, one of the things we notice is the fact that there's a thing that we are afraid we may not have an answer for somebody.

We may not know the right thing to say. Now let me give you a simple trick that is quite easy and will resolve a lot of the fear.

If you're asked a question and you don't know the answer to it, you can simply say, I don't know.

In fact, not only is it an honest answer, it is something that other people end up respecting because it shows that you're not trying to give them an answer that's just to make something up to sound intelligent.

Now this is something a lot of people do. They just make something up because they want to have an answer. People tend to respect a person that says,

I don't know, when they don't know. Or I'll say, I'm sorry, I don't know enough about that, I can't answer that.

I think that's a perfectly good thing to say and it shows respect. But if you don't know the answer, that's the thing you should go and study for the next time because it will probably come up again.

And so you can always say, I don't know. Now sometimes people say, well, someone's saying, son,

I don't know how to get back to the gospel. How do I get back to the gospel after they say all these crazy nonsense about things

I don't understand? A line that I always use is to say, great, hey, listen, that's all great about what you're saying, but how does that help you on judgment day?

Saying that line, how does that help you on judgment day, always gets me back to the gospel. So I hope that helps to answer questions that you may have with fear.
