I want their faith to not just be something that stands but something around which culture can be built.
00:07
We want students who can think critically about arguments but also about the culture around them that can then speak clearly to it and that also have the ability to influence and shape because of the power of their message because that's really what the gospel does.
00:21
The gospel throws down all the arguments against it. It speaks to the hearts of people, it influences, and it changes.

There are over 200 radio and podcast episodes up there on the site. Wide variety of guests and topics from cultural engagement, politics, apologetics, eschatology, some amazing
01:11
Christians and scientists, theologians, scholars, debate stuff, conflict, it's just really great.
01:16
Long history of really hopefully helpful content there for you guys, and of course we have all of our television episodes there, aftershows in Apologia Academy, and you can actually watch one of those
01:26
Apologia Academies with our special guest, Gordon Wilson, who by the way is the brother of Doug Wilson and the uncle of Nate or Andy Wilson, our favorite
01:34
Christian author. The brother -in -law of Nancy. What's in the water in Moscow? That's all I want to know.
01:40
What's the water in Moscow? How did the Wilsons get just this really just very productive...
01:46
Yeah, dad moved us here in 71. That's right, no, yeah, I know all about your dad. Yeah, Jim Wilson by the way, great stuff, get his books.
01:55
So just finished up and ended on the thought, last segment here for the
02:00
TV show, but ended on the thought of just what an insult it would be for somebody to see somebody's artistry, something they worked hard on their labor, and to just say, well that happened all by itself, and take the artist out of the picture.
02:14
It really is blasphemous and insulting, so that's a powerful, powerful thought. So Joy, you want to add something?
02:20
I was just gonna say that, you know, it sort of goes along this vein, but I think that one of the most amazing things to consider when you're watching a nature documentary is that you're seeing something that happens all the time, but you're never seeing it.
02:39
So it really, it's just this like constant echo of God's masterpiece, his creation, and how he glorifies himself in a way that's like separate from humans.
02:54
Like we're not involved, but it's out there happening all the time. Constant, it's for his entertainment.
03:00
Right, and it's one of the most amazing things to consider when you watch something like this, or if you watch something that's a secular documentary, or if you're out walking in nature.
03:12
So all that being said, I just want it, I just want you to tell us something cool that you saw that happens all the time, but you just happen to see it on this particular occasion.
03:24
Well, oh golly, there's, there were so many things that I saw. I am partial to reptiles and amphibians, so going down to the
03:34
Arizona desert in your neck of the woods was just something, a dream come true.
03:39
You might think, well, what about Sri Lanka? You know, that was great too, but being in my own country and then in a state where I've just been wanting to look for reptiles, things that I'd only seen in books, and I got to meet them face -to -face and interact with them, catch them, look at them up close.
04:02
One in particular snake that's in the movie is a
04:09
Sonoran whip snake. It's been a while since I, I think there's footage of that.
04:16
I know I caught a coach whip as well. Both are fast, sleek, some pretty temperamental snakes.
04:26
They, their head looks like a sports car, and just catching them and holding them was just a delight.
04:34
Now, it might, I realize, excuse me, I realized most people wouldn't share my enthusiasm.
04:43
Nope, not for snakes. I'll pray for you, Jeff. Thank you. That's a no -prop.
04:48
That's a nerd for me, Gordon. So, that was just really enjoyable.
04:58
Also, when I was in Sri Lanka and was handling, sort of, on the non -business end of the cobra in the movie,
05:10
I was able to hold the, the last bit of tail of this five -foot cobra.
05:18
And, of course, the cobra was hooded up and looking at Dane's camera, so he was facing away from me, but it was still a thrill to just be, kind of, on the tail end of such a lethal animal.
05:34
Yeah, that's amazing. That's nuts. So, those were just, kind of, high points for me. Part two, we were learning how to scuba dive in Hawaii, and just being able to scuba dive under a sea turtle, that was fantastic, but that's not in this, not in this episode.
05:57
I'm trying to think of, am I answering your question? No, that's good. Yeah, that's great. Yeah, Luke has a question for you.
06:02
I love it all, and I want people to see the magnificence in the mundane as well.
06:13
Well, that, kind of, Joy, kind of, sort of, stole my question. I was just going to mention how this was, this one is part one, correct?
06:20
It's coming out, that's the land animals, and then there's going to be the second, that's the sea animals. So, Nate had told us the shark story and the story of the jaguar, which we were all enthralled with, too.
06:31
I mean, I was going to ask you what your favorite story was, but I think you may have already answered that. We filmed the leopard, you know, in Sri Lanka.
06:39
We were hoping that there's a jaguar down in southern Arizona, but it's, sort of, kept secret where it hangs out.
06:52
Well, let me ask you, we got about two minutes left right now, so I'll finish with this. One more time, quickly, website where they can go get tickets and get info.
06:58
Yeah, you go to rideinthedance .com and then click on find your theater and type in your zip code or the city's name and it'll pull up all the theaters nearest to you.
07:11

07:17
And so, just about a minute left here, and we'll finish up this episode. So, this particular episode, you're already working on the next one.
07:27
I'll just ask you quickly, where did you visit? Just, like, again, a minute left. So, where did you visit across the country around the world?
07:34
Northern Idaho. We did Oregon Coast. We did the Sonoran Desert down in Arizona. We did
07:40
Yellowstone, California Coast. We did Sri Lanka, and that pretty much wraps up the locations that we filmed.
07:51
