But unfortunately, the closing ceremony caused even more of a stir, if that's possible, and now many

Christians are wondering if there were demonic themes being presented. And the answer might just surprise you, because the last clip

I found is the weirdest one I've seen so far, but maybe not for the reason you've been thinking. The ceremony centered on this bizarre character, something called the

Golden Voyager. Watch this. As you can see, in typical

Olympics fashion, this is really, really weird, and of course it being in Paris didn't help either. But what exactly was the inspiration behind this act?

And can we really call it demonic? To figure that out, we need to see what the creators of the ceremony said specifically about what their motivations were.

They have said that the Golden Voyager was inspired by several things, most notably, the French Revolution, and believe it or not, alien life.

First, the French Revolution. One inspiration offered by the creators of the ceremony is the

Spirit of the Bastille, or the Storming of the Bastille. For those who don't know, this historical event occurred when revolutionaries stormed the

Bastille, which was a fortress and prison in France at the time. This was a critical event that essentially kick -started the

French Revolution itself. And most of us hear about this revolution, and frankly, we don't really know much about it.

We sort of just think that it was a bunch of freedom -fighting peasants with great, noble intentions fighting to defend their families.

But the French Revolution is not nearly as innocent or good -natured as you might have thought. In fact, one of the main objectives of the revolution was to remove

Christianity from their society. You may not have known that, but it's true. For example, they changed their entire calendar system so that it would not center on the birth of Christ.

More than this, many of the revolutionaries started promoting pagan and secular festivals instead of the traditional

Christian holidays. In at least one of these festivals that were occurring all over France at the time, they sang a secular hymn for the glory of man -made philosophy over and against Christianity in particular.

The hymn said this, quote, Agree, my good friends, that Rousseau is better than Saint Peter.

And while we're on the topic of Jean -Jacques Rousseau, let's talk about him. He was the most important philosopher and intellectual in the revolution.

His philosophy heavily emphasized the will of man over and against the will of God explicitly.

And fun fact, despite writing a book on how to raise children, he intentionally abandoned all of his children to live in an orphanage immediately after each of them were born.

And this was while he was still alive and perfectly capable of taking care of them. And then, of course, we can't forget that the revolution itself would literally murder thousands of people with guillotines and various other methods.

And this is the French revolutionary spirit, the one that the Paris Olympics wants to celebrate.

It is a spirit that is fundamentally and directly opposed to all things Christian. And in that sense, yes, it is demonic, even if this

Golden Voyager character is not meant to be a demon. But you see, the French revolution is not the only reference here.

The other one is even weirder. Let's watch another clip of the Golden Voyager. Watch this. The time capsule called the

Voyager Golden Record was made in France. It still floats in space and acts as an instruction manual should we receive extraterrestrial visitors in the future.

This was without a doubt one of the weirdest, most bizarre, nonsensical, unnecessary events

I have ever watched. And according to the creators, one of the other inspirations for this was the

Voyager Golden Record. The Golden Record is just like it sounds. It's a record that NASA sent into outer space on two spacecraft in 1977.

And just in case that spacecraft encountered any alien life, the Golden Records contain pictures, sounds from Earth, music, and 50 different languages from Earth.

And this record was sent out so that if some intelligent humanoid life or alien outside of Earth found it, they would be able to listen to its contents and potentially foster a relationship with us here on Earth.

This too has certain strange and frankly unbiblical implications. First, all of the evidence we have in scripture indicates that the

Lord created the heavens and the Earth to uniquely display His glory. And mankind is the unique crowning glory of His creation.

This would, at the very least, point strongly in the opposite direction of aliens existing.

Second, if aliens are real, wouldn't they have some sort of beliefs or some sort of agenda to push? And what is that agenda?

What are they trying to do? You see, if you take a deep dive on this topic and listen to podcasts or read books on it, these creatures do not use their high intellect to point to the ultimate creator,

God. No, in almost all cases of alien encounters that are being popularized now, the goal always seems to be to take the attention off of God and put it on some sort of rationalism or evolutionary biology or some sort of rationalistic science religion.

And we have people using things like psychedelics now to establish a spiritual connection with these beings.

From what I can tell, a lot of the alien phenomenon is really just being used to avoid the existence of God explicitly.

Who needs a God up there, after all, when you have aliens up there watching over us? So instead of believing that there are intelligent beings like angels and demons that live outside of our plane of existence, they have to create an alternative concept, one that is more acceptable to the modern rationalistic world.

But why exactly am I telling you all of this? What on earth does any of this have to do with the closing ceremony of the

Olympics? I'll tell you. A lot of people are looking for vague connections and ambiguous symbolism in this ceremony so that they can find the secret demon worship that's going on beneath the surface.

But honestly, I don't think any of that is really necessary. The opening ceremony had drag queens, and the closing ceremony celebrated the

French Revolution and contacting aliens. What is the common thread behind all of these topics?

Well, the common thread is exalting man's freedom, philosophy, and the created order above the one who created it,

God. And that is what's truly demonic about the behavior from the Olympics, in my opinion. And I'm not saying that there's no hidden symbolism here.

I'm just saying that Christians don't actually need it to prove their point, and a lot of times it sounds like we're just grasping at straws.

So don't let this secularism or paganism lead you to despair. Instead, let's refute it and battle it for the glory of God.
