This could also be called, and has been called, the Doctrine of Total Depravity and what is meant by that.

While man was created in the image of God, Genesis 1, verse 26, man, that is,

Adam, sinned. He fell, and in Adam's sin, the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God.
