- Adam, sinned. He fell, and in Adam's sin, the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God.

- And just so that nobody misunderstands, this term of total depravity, that does not mean that man is as bad as he could be.

- And he is totally, in and of himself, unable to remedy his lost condition.
