Christian this is a question that I've asked many people on a number of occasions but then it gets real serious when you ask the next question why now everything gets complicated and people will look at you with anything from shock that you would ask such a question to utter despair because they have no idea what to say next

Oprah says she's a Christian that's about as Christian as she gets Oprah never talks about sin hell or salvation through faith in Jesus alone and almost everything she says contradicts the

Bible but she is a Christian and millions of her followers are Christians just like her which is to say they're not

Christians if they're not believing in the biblical gospel of Jesus Christ unlike Oprah Bodhi recognizes that it's not enough to say you're a

Christian you need to also know why you're a Christian I wonder how Oprah would answer

Bodhi's question why are you a Christian I'm not asking you to be a

Christian if you want to be one I can show you how I'll tell you why

I choose to believe the Bible because I don't believe the Bible because I was raised that way because I wasn't I don't choose to believe the

Bible because I tried it and it worked for me my mother's Buddhism worked for her that's why she was a Buddhist I need something more than just because it works here's the answer

I'll give it to you and I'll unpack it for you I choose to believe the Bible because it's a reliable collection of historical documents written down by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses they report to us supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies and claimed that their writings are divine rather than human in origin if you want to be a

Christian Oprah can show you how just follow Oprah not what the Bible actually teaches and you can be sure not to recognize your sinfulness and need for a savior because according to Oprah she's a good person and so are you unlike Oprah Bodhi points you to the authority of the

Bible but it is not required

Jesus said so she just ignored it yet she is a Christian just like millions of her followers

Christians unlike Oprah Bodhi teaches what the Bible teaches which is that all humans were created to worship

Jesus and anyone who doesn't is in sin it means my definition is living your life with an open heart through love living your life with an open heart allowing yourself to align with the values of tolerance acceptance of harmony of cooperation and reverence for life our greatest need is not a

Bible that points us to our best life now our greatest need is a Bible that points us to our best hope ever

Christ is that hope he is that life he is that rescue and it is him whom we love and adore

Oprah's Christianity is about tolerance and acceptance of all faiths again what the

Bible actually teaches about sin Jesus and salvation doesn't matter to Oprah her opinions are on the same level as what

God has revealed in the Bible actually on an even higher level since she's right and the

Bible is wrong unlike Oprah Bodhi teaches what the Bible teaches that Jesus is the center of all creation that Jesus is the only rescuer from sin and hell and that Jesus deserves love and adoration from every single human being there is a force energy consciousness divine thread

I believe that connects all spiritually to all of us to something greater than ourselves

I mean by the way anything that you are trusting in other than God is an idol because God is our only hope and the moment you are trusting in something else you are saying that God is not who

God is God is not our only hope and whatever this thing is and whoever this person is this is now that which

God says he and he alone is Oprah's God is an abstract energy consciousness or divine thread not the sovereign and personal

God of the Bible Oprah has her own imaginary God that she's created for herself a

God who agrees with all of her opinions and millions of her followers love this false

God that she has created unlike Oprah Bodhi teaches about the one true God of the

Bible and points out that belief in any other supposed God is idolatry now if you're living in the space of an open heart you have a blessed life anybody know what

I'm talking about if you are living in the space of an open heart you have a blessed life here's who you were before you came to Christ you came with fleshly desires that were against God you came with desires of your body and your mind that were alienated to God you came with desires that were evil

Oprah says that if you live a certain way you have a blessed life it doesn't matter that the

Bible teaches that apart from faith in Christ we have a sinful nature and are under the wrath of God according to Oprah you don't need salvation from sin in hell you don't need

Jesus you just need to have an open heart and millions of her followers soak this garbage in unlike Oprah Bodhi reveals the truth that every human apart from Christ has a sin nature even when we think we're doing good things we do them in the wrong motivations we don't do them for God's glory a blessed life comes only from believing in and submitting to Jesus my favorite

God of the Bible and repentance from sin and idolatry well

I have a different view of Christian than you do okay and the

God I serve the God I serve doesn't care whether you're tall or short or whether you were born black or Asian or gay it's unique it's unique it's not like other sins it's unique not all sins are called abominations homosexuality is unique in that regard very few sins in that category and not all sins were there ended in God destroying twin cities with fire and brimstone it's unique in that regard not all sins are talked about in the

Bible like in Romans 1 as having a penalty in the flesh homosexuality is it's unique in that regard

Oprah says she has a different view of Christian and she talks about the God I serve well the

God Oprah serves isn't the Christian God and her view of Christian is just her own arbitrary and irrelevant opinions not what the

Bible teaches she points people to herself not the God of the Bible unlike Oprah Bodhi recognizes the

Bible's teachings that sinners are commanded to turn away from all sins and homosexuality is indeed a sin to God I'm late today because I was in the makeup room arguing with somebody who was telling me how all gay people are going to hell and now

I'm going to hell with all the other gay people for doing for doing the show I take full responsibility for my going to hell or heaven

I take full responsibility and there is nothing but darkness but that's not even the worst part when your life finally ends your judgment has only just begun

Jesus says don't fear him who can destroy the body fear the one who can cast both body and soul into hell being a

Christian doesn't mean that we escape difficulty in the here and the now but it does mean that we don't experience the wrath of God here and more importantly we don't experience the wrath of God then

Oprah takes full responsibility for her going to heaven or hell she would rather double down on her position about homosexuality than accept what the

Bible teaches and millions of her followers see her as being brave when she does this unlike Oprah Votie treats hell with the seriousness it deserves it's a place we should fear not a place we should be willing to go to and I feel that everybody who's concerned about me now going to hell because I'm doing the

Ellen DeGeneres show I think that you all should take that energy and try to create a little heaven here on earth for everybody and I take full responsibility for it we need to see an example of what it looks like when a

Christian squares his shoulders and plants his feet and does battle on behalf of the gospel because we live in a culture that does not celebrate the

Ten Commandments we celebrate the 11th commandment which is the only commandment Thou shalt be nice Oprah wants to create heaven on earth and wants people to stop talking about who is and who isn't going to hell she probably doesn't even believe hell exists and she's leading millions of her non -christian followers to believe they're not on their way to hell unlike Oprah Votie recognizes that Christians need to stand firm and speaking the truth even if the truth is unpopular if people really are headed towards hell the most loving thing to do is to warn them and teach the true gospel of Jesus Christ I believe

God created Ellen, I believe God did that, and if Ellen says she's gay I believe God created her gay

I believe God did that I support her right to be who she thinks she is

By the way, even if we do ever have biological evidence that doesn't change things

Well if we find a gay gene and we say well here ok now this person has a genetically we know that this person is predisposed to homosexuality ok so it's not a sin anymore oh oh so if I'm genetically predisposed to alcoholism by the way there's more evidence for that I'm genetically predisposed to alcoholism

I get a pass y 'all because I have a genetic predisposition therefore it's not sin

I'm genetically predisposed to be violent particularly against women I get a pass.

Do you follow? Oprah suggests that because God created people gay they don't need to change two problems here first people might struggle with same -sex attraction but their identity is who

God says they are not who they think they are and second God certainly is the sovereign creator but when he causes a sinner to be born again that person will have a new desire to obey

God's commands God calls sinners to repentance to a change of heart not to stay who they are unlike Oprah Voti points out that homosexuality is like any other sin in the sense that some might struggle with it more and some might even be more predisposed to it but we're all still commanded to fight against all the sins in our lives you know

I declare that if you if you were to do the declarations for 31 days your life would change that's what you did it for right yeah that's exactly right one day one day a month and you know you can continue to do them but it's a great start don't let people tell you that God just wants to give you enough

I think it's great that you all made a conscious choice to include gay marriage in here absolutely yeah why because one of the oldest aches in the bones of humanity is loneliness yeah
