- Abortion can be another word for mercy. You know, go back to Roe v. Wade, I talked about, you know, that earlier.
- 00:05
- What's interesting about that is, you know, all of a sudden, when that happened, the gloves came off.
- 00:12
- Oh yeah. You know? And people were just essentially saying, I can't believe we're not going to be allowed to kill babies anymore.
- 00:19
- This is not a moral conversation about abortion. This is a practical conversation about women's rights.
- 00:25
- And by the way, human rights, because women's rights are human rights. And the freedom that we all need to be able to choose and build our lives and have access to excellent health care.
- 00:35
- May I just say one other thing? And just without going into too many details, my own personal experience with abortion, and I don't think we talk about this enough.
- 00:43
- Abortion can be another word for mercy. We don't know. We don't know. It's not a world in which...
- 00:48
- We know that no two pregnancies are alike, and it follows that no two lives are alike, that follows that no two conceptions are alike.
- 00:55
- So how can we have a law? How can we have a point of view on this that says we must treat everything the same?
- 01:01
- When you look at the world and the flesh and the devil, I'm going to argue that the devil himself is a minor player. Because number one, we're not that important and he's busy.
- 01:09
- And number two, the world's got us so wrapped up that that kind of direct influence is not all that necessary.
- 01:16
- And where I come at it from is when you allow for choice, you allow for flexibility, which is what we need in order to be human.
- 01:24
- So that, anyway, I just wanted to include that part. Especially for that. It's not set in stone.
- 01:30
- Just because you get pregnant doesn't mean you get to keep that baby. Yeah, it's a health decision. And it can be.
- 01:36
- It really can be. Completely oblivious, completely incapable of all good, completely averse to all righteousness, and yet holding yourselves up as paragons of righteousness.
- 01:51
- That God made me smart enough to know that if there are alternatives out there that can work for me,
- 01:58
- I will investigate them. But I also know God said, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
- 02:04
- I will not make that decision for anybody. I don't ever think that I can make any decision for you and your family that you are not smart enough to make for yourself.
- 02:15
- You are not the person to make that decision. My doctor and myself and my child.
- 02:25
- That's who makes the decision. Actually, no, that's not radical enough. That's not sinful enough.
- 02:30
- That's not who you were. Here's who you were before you came to Christ. You came with fleshly desires that were against God.
- 02:38
- You came with desires of your body and your mind that were alienated to God. You came with desires that were evil.
- 02:46
- And the devil and the world did not have to seek you out. You rested in them because they gave you exactly what you wanted.
- 02:55
- These comments might be strong, but it's how I genuinely feel. I don't care that you're a Christian. I don't care what the
- 03:01
- Bible says. Like, I feel like it's a clown show, like sitting here trying to decipher what your little mythical book has to say about these very real political issues, right?
- 03:13
- I don't care if you're Christian. In fact, I will fight for you to have your religious liberty and practice your
- 03:19
- Christianity. I believe in that. I don't believe in Christianity, which means that you do not get to dictate the way
- 03:25
- I live my life based on your religion. I don't care what the Bible says. You have every right in the world.
- 03:31
- All those women who identify with your religion have every right in the world to not get an abortion, to not take birth control.
- 03:37
- But they do not have the right to dictate my life and what I decide to do with my body.
- 03:42
- I don't care about your religion. I'm so tired of having nonstop conversations about what the
- 03:49
- Bible says. You live your life in the way that you interpret the Bible. Again, I don't care. But you don't get to take the
- 03:55
- Bible and tell me, well, the Bible says this in this chapter, in this verse. I don't care. I don't care.
- 04:00
- I don't believe in it. And I have the right based on our constitution to not believe in it. They are also haters of God, leaving
- 04:07
- God out, advocating abortion, advocating homosexuality, advocating free sexual conduct and government provided condoms so that everybody can do what they want.
- 04:17
- That is literally creating a platform out of what God hates. The words that we just heard from Anne Hathaway, Whoopi Goldberg and Anna Kasparian about women having the right to kill their pre -born babies are absolutely shocking and evil.
- 04:35
- And they will absolutely experience the righteous judgment and wrath of God if they do not repent, turn away from this sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone for their salvation.
- 04:51
- Now, these people who have absolutely no fear of God and no fear of rebelling against God's moral commands, obviously do not think they are sinners who deserve
- 05:03
- God's wrath. And in fact, they think the exact opposite. They think they are the righteous and loving people.
- 05:13
- And that we Christians who teach about God's justice and wrath are the sinners who will burn in hell.
- 05:20
- And we do. We live in a day and an age where people are either arguing that sin is not real.
- 05:27
- We don't sin. Well, we make mistakes. We have conditions, afflictions, whatever, but not sin.
- 05:33
- Either that it's not real or that it's not consequential. This idea that if there is a
- 05:39
- God, He's just a forgiving God. And there is no need to fear His wrath. And in fact, those people who believe in a wrathful
- 05:46
- God are people who are misrepresenting and blaspheming the name of our kind and forgiving God.
- 05:51
- They're terrible people. Which is ironic because essentially they're saying that we're the sinners. Nobody else is.
- 05:57
- But Anne Hathaway, Whoopi Goldberg, Anna Kasparian and everyone else like them are gravely mistaken about their spiritual state and their relationship with God.
- 06:10
- Yes, God is a forgiving God. But only to those who repent of their sin and humble themselves before Jesus Christ.
- 06:20
- Who alone can save sinners from sin. But God is also a
- 06:25
- God of justice. And He will pour out His wrath upon all unrighteousness on the last day.
- 06:32
- What Hathaway, Goldberg and Kasparian truly need is not virtue signaling or the moral high ground against Christians.
- 06:42
- But rather what every single person in the entire world needs. Redemption from sin.
- 06:51
- But we need to be reminded as parents that we are raising children who are under Adam's federal headship.
- 06:58
- And their greatest need is not behavioral modification. Their greatest need is redemption. They are little sinners.
- 07:04
- Amen. As I've often said and as people love to repeat in the press. That's not a little angel.
- 07:10
- That's a viper in a diaper. Again, anybody who does not believe in the doctrine of original sin does not have kids. And it's incredibly important for us to be reminded of that.
- 07:18
- Our child's greatest need is not behavioral modification. It's spiritual transformation.
- 07:24
- They need the gospel. Amen. They need the gospel. Does that mean that we don't address their behavior? You better.
- 07:29
- But in and of itself, that is insufficient. They have a need that is greater. They have a need that is greater.
- 07:35
- Finally, not only on that level and in that way. But in a broader sense, the greatest need of all men.
- 07:44
- The greatest need of our culture. The greatest need in our nation is not better leaders and better laws.
- 07:51
- But it's redemption. It's redemption. Also, did you notice that Whoopi Goldberg and Anna Kasparian were not at all afraid to talk about God and the
- 08:01
- Bible. They unashamedly either quote the Bible or blaspheme the
- 08:06
- Bible. But many Christians today are completely afraid to bring up the Bible at all in public discourse.
- 08:15
- Here's what's interesting. We've heard for a generation now. Separation of church and state.
- 08:20
- Separation of church and state. And what Christians have done for a generation now is we've tried to make political arguments that don't rely on the
- 08:28
- Bible. I know this because I get this all the time, right. On the abortion issue, it was, you know, how do we make an argument that doesn't rely on the
- 08:35
- Bible? Because we got to run away from the scriptures. On the same -sex marriage issue, how do we make an argument against same -sex marriage that doesn't rely on the
- 08:43
- Bible? You see, because they don't believe in the Bible. And so when we come, we have to come without our
- 08:48
- Bible because they don't believe in our Bible. And so for a generation now, we've been trying to do battle in the public square in the name of Christ, the
- 08:56
- Word of God, without the Word of God. We've become ashamed of the Word of God. We've become ashamed to say, this would be good law and this would be good policy because this is what
- 09:06
- God says. We're ashamed of that. But if non -Christians are unashamed of both using and blaspheming the
- 09:14
- Bible, then we as Christians should likewise be unashamed of standing firm upon the
- 09:21
- Word of God, which is our solid foundation of truth.
- 09:27
- As Hebrews 4 .12 says, And discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- 09:49
- In a culture that has so thoroughly mocked and rejected God and all his moral commands,
- 09:56
- Christians, we need to boldly and unashamedly give to this culture what it truly needs.
- 10:07
- Jesus, the gospel and the hope of redemption.
- 10:12
- But we're ashamed to say marriage is between a man and a woman in the name of the Lord. Or we're ashamed to say, no, actually, a woman is an adult female human.
- 10:21
- Amen. Two sexes, two genders, just two, just two. That's all. No more than that. Just two.
- 10:27
- We won't say that. Ain't it interesting? When the vaccine mandates were coming, what was Madam Vice President telling us?
- 10:34
- She was quoting scripture, unashamedly quoting scripture, saying this is the right thing to do.
- 10:42
- I'm glad they're doing it. I am. Because it gives us an opportunity to say, oh, wait. So now you're agreeing that the
- 10:49
- Bible is relevant for public morality. That's what we're saying now, right? Because I got a couple of things.
- 10:55
- These are crazy days. They are wicked days. And in the midst of these wicked days, we need to be reminded that this wickedness exists because we're fallen in Adam and that the only answer for this wickedness that exists because we're fallen in Adam is for us to be redeemed in Christ, to go from the federal headship of our father
- 11:16
- Adam to the federal headship of our Redeemer Jesus. That's our only hope. Thank you so much for watching.
