- 00:11
- We left off last week with that we are priests and we meet in this room, this room that we're connected with Christ.
- 00:39
- It takes effort to meet in this room. It cannot be all of a sudden, it cannot be of your own volition.
- 01:02
- As we meet in this room, lost my place now, as we continue on through this room, we come to a curtain.
- 01:24
- Now, the curtain originally separated the people from the presence of God and he was all alone in the presence of God.
- 01:45
- But the veil represents
- 01:50
- Christ, Christ's flesh. As we continue into this room, we find that it is here the almighty
- 02:09
- God dwells. This compares with our innermost being, the heart, the new man, the heart of the new man, the subconscious.
- 02:24
- It is here that the essence of God dwells. We can go in because we're in Christ.
- 02:38
- They could not do this in the beginning. They could not barge in, they could not go in, they could not be in the very presence of God.
- 02:51
- They had to do it through a priest. It was of the priest that made it possible for them to dwell inside.
- 03:04
- It is of the priest where man enters into this room.
- 03:12
- Are you not very well adjusted to the fact that we can enter in to this room through our high priest?
- 03:30
- It is no different than it was during the presence of the
- 03:40
- Lord, except now the veil has been taken away. It exists only in our mind.
- 03:51
- It is through him that everything exists inside in Christ.
- 04:10
- Now, in Hebrews, the second chapter, in the verse 17, Wherefore, in all things that behoove him to be made like unto the brethren, that he might be merciful and faithful, high priest, in the pertaining to God, to making reconciliation for the sins of men,
- 04:35
- Christ can be here only because he has reconciled.
- 04:42
- In Hebrews 8, 1, Now of these things which we have spoken, this is the sum.
- 04:50
- We have such a high priest who is set on the right hand of the throne of the majesty and high, majesty in heaven, is set.
- 05:09
- Christ is set. It is a finished tense. It is once for all.
- 05:16
- It is, well, we would say, finished in that it has been what,
- 05:30
- Greg? Alright, it is finished in that we have obtained salvation.
- 05:45
- We have obtained our finish. It is all finished and we have salvation, but we do not have it.
- 05:56
- We have it only in perpetual salvation. The tabernacle was movable, which we are movable by nature.
- 06:09
- We move from one place to another. Whenever the tabernacle moved, we moved. They acted this out.
- 06:19
- It was part of the Old Testament laws that they would come each one to his own place when the time was right.
- 06:35
- When they were going to move, the cloud was not there. It was ahead. So each man had a part to play.
- 06:46
- Each one of us today have a part to play. It is as though each one of us has something to do, something for which we are responsible, something for which we do.
- 07:11
- As the cloud provided them cool by night and light in the day in the nighttime, that we have light continually.
- 07:25
- We have the cloud to keep us cool in the daytime. We have the fire to show us the revisions and what is taking place at night.
- 07:40
- John 14, 16, And I will pray the Father, and he will send another comforter, that he may abide forever.
- 07:52
- This other comforter is the Holy Spirit. That is what makes it possible for us to move.
- 08:00
- They did not have the Holy Spirit. They dwelt in the tent.
- 08:06
- They moved when the tent moved. They sat down when the tent revived.
- 08:14
- And it is by us that the tent moves. But the comforter, which is the
- 08:24
- Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to mind, to you remembrance whatsoever
- 08:39
- I have said unto you. But when the comforter is come, whom
- 08:47
- I will send, whom the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the
- 08:54
- Father, he shall testify of me. They did not have that. They existed in a realm of non -existence.
- 09:09
- It was real to them, but it was not really real.
- 09:16
- We have him in us. We are provided for anything.
- 09:26
- We have the Holy Spirit, which is within us.
- 09:34
- But when the comforter is come, whom I will send unto you, from the
- 09:40
- Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me.
- 09:46
- Now, the Lord testifies of no one but except Christ. When we have come, we have come only to the presence of the
- 10:07
- Holy Spirit. He is within us. When the cloud moved, the tabernacle must move.
- 10:16
- The tabernacle moved as long as the cloud moved.
- 10:23
- It would set down when the cloud stood still. When the cloud moves now, each one of us moves when the tabernacle moves.
- 10:35
- This was done by the priest. It is the priest that cared for the moving.
- 10:42
- It is the priest that did the operating. It is the priest that foretold of everything.
- 10:51
- It is each one now has the priest within him.
- 11:00
- It is as though Jesus were divided into many, many different parts. This was done by the priest.
- 11:08
- Each pen and each rope, each column, each cap, each hanging, each piece of furniture was under the care of one man, each one individually.
- 11:22
- When they would move, you would say Greg had the charge of the pens, the pen.
- 11:33
- David had charge of something else and something else, on around until it got to be where we were each one charged with only one thing.
- 11:47
- Today, it is charged of only one thing.
- 11:53
- We are ambitiously ready when
- 12:03
- Christ calls. We are to come to him when
- 12:08
- Christ is moving. That was a responsibility to see that it was at the new sight and ready when it was used.
- 12:18
- Now take for instance the pen. Greg got tired of pulling up his pen.
- 12:25
- Always pulling up his pen, putting it down, pulling it up. What if he decided someday,
- 12:36
- I am just not going to pull it up. Or he pulled it up and then he packed it away and forgot about it.
- 12:45
- Now if that pen happened to be on a corner, then how much work would it be on the others that the pen was not there?
- 12:58
- If the pen was not there, if he was in the middle of the line and the pen was not there, then the line would sag and they would want to know who is responsible.
- 13:12
- Go get him. So they would go get him. They would go get the very man that was responsible.
- 13:22
- I think that in each church there is those that are responsible for certain functions of the church.
- 13:31
- It is as though there were not any teachers, as though there were not anybody to run the sound system, as though there was not a song leader.
- 13:49
- If he is not here, you know who to look for. You look for that particular one.
- 13:58
- This was done by the priests, each pen, each rope, that it was responsibility to see that it was in the new site ready as it was needed.
- 14:11
- Now, suppose we moved. Let's say we are going to move.
- 14:20
- We pick up and leave. We go someplace else. We move our membership.
- 14:27
- It does not mean that I have changed my obligation to the church.
- 14:34
- I must be where the gift that I have, the presence of one will fit into another.
- 14:49
- We also have our one place in his church, the body for which we are responsible.
- 15:00
- No one else can fill it. Neither should we try to do it the work of someone else.
- 15:06
- There is no talent given by God that will give you the right to tell others exactly what to do, how to do it.
- 15:17
- They should work in their own gift. I have seen this so much. I have seen the working of their gift.
- 15:29
- I have seen someone take possession of another gift, and it cannot be.
- 15:57
- We will find that in trying to contain it, in trying...
- 16:10
- Well, there just isn't any gift that is given that will enable a person to let down, to cause them to function in someone else's gift, to cause them to get it right in someone else's gift.
- 16:33
- This will always lead to trouble. Every time anybody tries to function within someone's gift, we are not to try to tell someone else how to do their particular work.
- 16:51
- We don't know it like they do. That is, we don't know the ins and the outs, and we don't know from where we come.
- 17:03
- We can assume that we do. We assume that others know, that I know, that I can do your work.
- 17:13
- We can advise and suggest, but it must be absolute spirit of love. If we take the assurance that we're given by someone to call upon them to do something different, then that assurance was wrong.
- 17:38
- We must do it always in the spirit of love, to love, to obey, to remember that they are assigned something completely foreign to our task, our way of doing.
- 18:00
- Our talent will not fit only our work. Don't find that the fault with others begins when you do not find fault with God.
- 18:14
- When you do find fault with God, He does not like that.
- 18:21
- He doesn't like for people to try to assume something belonged to someone else.
- 18:30
- In Romans 14, 4, Who art thou that judgest another man?
- 18:41
- In his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holding up, for God is able to make him stand.
- 18:50
- He will stand unto God alone. It's an awful temptation.
- 19:00
- In something that we see as wrong, at least we think it's wrong, and from our viewpoint it is wrong, but to allow someone else to continue is the best that we can do.
- 19:26
- Romans 14, 5, One man esteemeth one day above another, another esteemeth one day alike, every day alike.
- 19:36
- Let him be fully persuaded in his own mind. Let him be fully persuaded to cause to be fully, to cause to be absolute, to cause to be someone that is doing exactly what he is supposed to be doing.
- 20:02
- Let him be persuaded in his own mind. If he happens to go contrary to what you think, to what you are, then so be it.
- 20:15
- One man esteemeth one day above another, another esteemeth one day alike, every day alike.
- 20:22
- Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. I wonder if there are those that persuaded to come on Sunday when we think we should come some other day.
- 20:40
- Now that's an extreme case, I know, but suppose it was, you know, not supposed to take a bath on Sunday night, supposed to take it on Monday night.
- 20:53
- You're not supposed to do something that you do on Sunday when you're supposed to do it the rest of the week.
- 21:03
- Well, it's the same way. He that regardeth the day regardeth it unto the
- 21:15
- Lord, and he that regardeth not the day to the Lord, he does not regard it.
- 21:23
- He that goeth before to the
- 21:28
- Holy of Holies, let's be sure I didn't skip, he that eateth to the
- 21:51
- Lord for the giving of God thanks. He that eateth not to the
- 21:56
- Lord, he that eateth not, and given God thanks. So it makes no difference what you eat, what you do, what you think.
- 22:07
- It makes no difference at all. We are to do everything according to the will of God.
- 22:16
- We are to come into his presence. We are to let him guide us.
- 22:25
- We are to stand on this that he regardeth it unto the
- 22:32
- Lord. For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
- 22:39
- No one is an island unto himself. You may think so, it doesn't bother me, it doesn't bother them.
- 22:48
- So what difference does it make? Well, it does make a difference. You're not an island unto yourself.
- 22:56
- You're not thinking only of yourself. For none of us liveth or dieth, and no man dieth to himself.
- 23:06
- For whether we live, we live unto the Lord, and whether we die, we die unto the
- 23:14
- Lord. Whether we live therefore or die, we are the Lord's. Therefore we are the
- 23:21
- Lord's. We, well, do not criticize one another for doing their work.
- 23:39
- You have more than you can do by yourself. You have more. You may think that they're doing it wrong.
- 23:48
- You may think that they are pleasing them to do it as they're doing it.
- 23:56
- Our high priest has entered in before, and our high priest is come one to the other.
- 24:13
- The Holy Spirit comes as one unto
- 24:21
- God. The, well, here it is.
- 24:57
- Excuse me. The Holy Spirit comes unto
- 25:08
- God. Now, is there any questions? I know that today has been kind of a hodgepodge of affairs, but is there any questions over the tabernacle?
- 25:20
- We spent last Sunday mostly on it, and is there anything that you think of that you'd like to address?
- 25:30
- Any part of it. Anyone. I see one looking at his picture.
- 25:48
- Yes. I have a statement concerning this.
- 25:54
- The tabernacle has been kicked out of us in Christ.
- 26:01
- Now, we are, we are, we're not entering into a new place. We're expecting the Holy Spirit. That's the way.
- 26:08
- No, we've entered into a new one. Right. And so, we've had
- 26:15
- Christ in us. That's right. And we're in Christ. That's right. Which is a better thing.
- 26:23
- That's right. The, the old covenant stood for the people of that time.
- 26:31
- Everything that they did was a picture for us. They didn't know that. They had the covenant, and they had to observe the covenant.
- 26:42
- They observed it all. Yet, it was a picture for us.
- 26:48
- And a picture cannot be condemned. It cannot be thought of as replacing the one.
- 27:00
- Although, in this case, it has, except it has been fulfilled.
- 27:06
- It has been dressed to us.
- 27:13
- It has been, has been, all, so often, it has been, everything has been made perfect in us as far as we're concerned.
- 27:30
- Now, further, what lies ahead, I don't know. All right, anyone else?
- 27:45
- Unless you learn the fact that they were not supposed to move that tabernacle, unless the cloud moved, and the picture, or imagine going out and beginning to take up stakes and pull the thing up, the cloud had to move, and they moved it out from under that cloud.
- 28:14
- That's a picture of what, again, the place where our flesh is controlling us.
- 28:22
- As opposed to us controlling it and causing it to serve us. And so it's a great lesson that we should stay in a place all the time where the new man is in union with the
- 28:37
- Holy Spirit, and that way the Holy Spirit can guide us to the places we're supposed to take this tabernacle.
- 28:45
- We'll always have it fixed in the right place that way. That's right. That's very good.
- 28:53
- Debbie, you have anything? All right.
- 29:01
- Does anyone else have a question? Well, then we come back to our lesson.
