This morning on the Today Show, there was coverage of the controversy concerning the

Miss USA pageant and specifically Miss California and her politically incorrect

Christian answer to a question that, well, would require a

Christian to answer it in a particular way. And yet we are seeing the face of political correctness, the fascism of political correctness, which in essence demands that you do not answer questions honestly, you answer them in such a way that compromises your faith, but makes sure that you do not offend the ruling minorities, which is what we see going on in our world today.

Perez Hilton was on the Today Show with Matt Lauer, as was Miss California, and I wanted to play a clip of what he said.

This is called using something from the media that has a specific intent and purpose to it and making direct social commentary in response to it.

I realize that for many people, Christians aren't allowed to have fair use, but still that is the law.

Yet as it may, Mr. Hilton makes some comments that again

I think very clearly demonstrates the gross hypocrisy, the double standard of those on the left, and specifically those promoting homosexual activity and homosexual rights in the

United States today. Listen carefully and think critically as this man speaks about how

Miss California should have responded. Notice especially his statement that she should have kept her politics and religion out of it.

Who introduced politics and religion? Well, Mr. Hilton did with his question of course. But you see, he doesn't see that because that's just the entirety of his world view.

He inserted his world view with his question. It was a world view question. But only Christians are not allowed to answer from within their world view.

Listen to what he has to say. I hope not Matt. I personally would have appreciated it had she left her politics and her religion out because Miss USA represents all

Americans. I think I gave her the easy way out. She could have answered that question so many different ways.

She could have said, well, I want to leave my politics out of the question and I think that it's important for the states to make those decisions for themselves.

And I think that would have been a better answer than the one that she gave because the answer she gave alienated myself, millions of gays and lesbians, their friends, their family, their co -workers, and their supporters.

And Miss USA is not a person that's alienating. Miss USA is not a person that's politically incorrect.

Miss USA is someone who represents me, who represents all America, and is inclusive and who will give the right answers.

She also should be a person who stands by her beliefs. Or do you want someone who just panders to judges? I want someone who is going to be politically savvy and that means saying things that will make everyone feel welcome.

For example, she's a Christian, but I don't want her talking about Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, because that's offensive to all of the

Jewish Americans, to all of the Muslim Americans, to all of the atheist Americans.

It's about balance. It's about finding the perfect Miss USA. And unfortunately, Miss California was not the perfect Miss USA.

She can't be honest. Even Matt Lauer sees this and says, wait a minute, don't you want a

Miss USA who holds to her principles, who says what she believes?

No, I want a Miss USA who's politically savvy. I want a Miss USA who's like a politician, who can provide non -answers.

That's what he just said. Now, I don't know about you, but that's deeply offensive to me. It is deeply offensive to me that Perez Hilton is saying this, so he should have to stop saying it, right?

No, because the mindset of the United States today is if you're a homosexual, then you cannot be offended.

But if you're a Christian, well, you just simply have to put up with it. The double standards are astounding.

They truly are astounding. It's not just in this area. It really seems like people in our culture just do not think critically any longer at all.

They do not see obvious double standards. And double standards speak to irrationality, a lack of logic and critical thinking.

And unfortunately, is that not what marks the public discourse of our day?

It most certainly does. And so we see once again, what we saw yesterday in our video there, the discussion we had, now brought out with much more clarity.

Keep your religion out of the public sphere. I can have my worldview, my secularist worldview, my worldview that is in essence defined by my sexuality that I've chosen, but you have to keep your ultimate authorities, your religion, out of the public sphere.

Well, as I said last time, competing in the Miss America or Miss USA pageants, whatever, is problematic to begin with.

But here we see very clearly those in the Hollywood elite making it very plain, don't bother being a
