- This is a ministry of striving for eternity. This week we want to deal with a topic called intersectionality.
- 00:51
- Maybe this is a new term for you, so I want to take a little bit of time today to explain this, and then
- 00:58
- I want to go into showing how we can use simple logic to show that intersectionality doesn't work.
- 01:05
- Intersectionality is the idea, and you'll often hear it in the context of what's called social justice, but intersectionality is the idea that everybody has a certain, shall we say, score, and the more of a victim you are, the higher your score.
- 01:22
- For example, if someone is African American, they would get a score being a victim for being
- 01:31
- African American. If they're an African American woman, they get a double score. If they're an African American woman who is a lesbian, they would get a triple score, and what you see with it is the argument goes that everyone needs to figure out their intersectionality, where they are in the wide population, to figure out their victim status, and the thinking is that the more of a victim you are, the more right you have to be heard in the culture of social justice.
- 02:00
- So everybody is rushing to have more victim status than everyone else.
- 02:05
- You're seeing this in the Democrat Party right now with them running for office. They're all trying to say who has more victim status than the other person.
- 02:15
- They all want to be the victim. None of them wants to be the champion, it seems, but this is the way you'll see this happen.
