- 00:01
- Hey, what's up? Jeff here. Post tenor buslux Bible rebinding to show you how to Train a yap.
- 00:12
- So right here we have a Ecclerian rebind
- 00:20
- And it has a half -inch semi yap So first I just kind of go over it with my thumb and my finger around the perimeter
- 00:33
- Just to kind of give my eyes sight With the line
- 00:40
- Then I use a little roller. You don't have to just to kind of apply more pressure
- 00:48
- Gives it a little more crisp For my next step
- 00:58
- After that,
- 01:05
- I have two pretty good -sized books And I stand it up on the book and the side that I was
- 01:14
- Forming I lay down Because I was forming it I can see a crisp line imprint
- 01:23
- So I just follow that line As I get it bent over And First I use my thumb
- 01:35
- And if that's all you have to use I believe it'll work well Then I use my roller just to Get it more crisp
- 01:49
- I'm always asked how I get my gaps So crisp.
- 01:54
- Well, this is how I do it and then then I do the same over here I Want to bend it with that creased line?
- 02:10
- For this side, I use my body In the same way that I would the book
- 02:22
- Rub it down my phone. I mean already
- 02:33
- I Get the train begins to form
- 02:40
- Then I'll already start pinching my corners Find the corners.
- 02:46
- I just pinch them together Do the same on the other side
- 02:53
- Run through this one a little faster Now I'm taking my spine
- 04:02
- I'm just making that crease go all the way to my spine and kind of bend that overlap just for just a little bit
- 04:12
- And So you can kind of see the gap It's basically formed
- 04:23
- Then I take the little saran wrap that you can get at Walmart a little spool of it
- 04:28
- I Think it's like $5 If you remember early in the video it kind of fell
- 04:36
- So now because it fell It's giving me problems There we go
- 04:47
- Just sit it out just a little bit like that And I always start
- 04:54
- At the bottom Just like that and get these books out of my way
- 05:06
- Form it back over to the spine And as I pick it up I Want to try to make that first yeah, but that first wrap as tight as I can but it's not as tight as it can go
- 05:21
- So just get it where it can can get there and move my thumb out the way Work it to the end of the table
- 05:28
- Now my second pass Is where I really get it tight Work it
- 05:40
- All the way up the bottom And as you're wrapping it you're gonna have to use your fingers to make sure that the gap
- 06:24
- Is down And after I do that I still
- 06:53
- Make sure my corners are Bent and strong my spine
- 06:59
- And I go back again go over the top Work my way to the side
- 07:08
- All the way to the side Wrap tight
- 07:45
- You have this form And I'll leave this in there
- 07:51
- No less than two hours No more than two days Come out looking good
