And now it's funny because I'm getting all this attention, but I'm like, I really couldn't care.

Julia Fox is setting the record straight. She is not dating Kanye West for clout, period.

Early Hope for Kanye’s Conversion and the Gospel’s Initial Impact

In 2019, Kanye West's supposed conversion to Christianity was all over the news. And Christians were hopeful that Kanye would be a powerful voice for the gospel.

I am so grateful to God that in his providence, he has put a man alongside Kanye that knows God, that knows his word, that knows the gospel. And you're giving him these truths and encouraging him with them.

And so I think all of us need to be grateful to God for that first and foremost.

That's so critical. In the beginning, there were many positive signs that the gospel had really transformed Kanye's life.

I was just with him recently and we were just talking about different celebrities that he's praying for, that he's going to talk to, that he wants to share the gospel with. And I'm just like, man, that's so awesome, dude.

Go for it.

And you know, now that I'm in service to Christ, my job is to spread the gospel, to let people know what Jesus has done for me. But now I'm letting you know what Jesus has done for me. And in that, I'm no longer a slave.

I'm a son now, a son of God. I'm free through to Christ.

Concerning Signs in Kanye’s Theology and Church Life

At the same time, there were also many concerning signs, including his view of Catholics, Mormons, and T .D.

Jakes. And then there'd be pastors that want to talk about, oh, T .D. Jakes said this. He ain't say it. He wasn't pure to the Bible. But then they can't tell you a black pastor that they like, though.

It's a divide in Christianity. If you believe that Jesus died for your sins, then you know the gospel. That's the gospel. Don't be telling me Mormons got an extra book and Catholics do that. It's simple.

Christians, we be making it too hard for people to come and be involved in this.

If anyone says that the guilt is remitted to every penitent sinner after the grace of justification has been received and that the debt of eternal punishment is so blotted out that there remains no debt of temporal punishment to be discharged either in this world or in the next in purgatory before the entrance to the kingdom of heaven can be opened, let him be anathema.

They do not preach the same gospel.

There's a lot of people in the Christian community that try to give Joel a hard time because when you turn on the radio, he keeps on showing you how good God is.

And his view of the prosperity gospel.

He's showing out. Since then, the number of concerns about Kanye's Christian faith has continued to increase. There is no evidence that Kanye is or has ever regularly attended a local church. Kanye's Sunday services, which lasted briefly, was not a legitimate local church.

Kanye had a brief relationship with Irina Shayk, a Russian actress and model who was certainly not a Christian. And now Kanye is officially in a relationship with Julia Fox, another actress and model who is also certainly not a Christian.

On dates with Kanye, Julia has worn extremely immodest and provocative clothing, and the two have engaged in sexually inappropriate behavior for two people who are not yet married. In an interview with the New Yorker, Julia said, In my personal life, I'm not having, like, crazy wild sex, which suggests that sex outside of marriage is completely normal for her.

She continues, People think I'm, like, this sex goddess. It must be because I never treated it like a hush-hush thing. It's a necessary bodily function.

Fornication, Carnality, and the Doctrine of the Carnal Christian

Now, let's look at the word fornication. It has to do with any sort of sexual activity outside the sacred bonds of marriage. And if they live without growth, even in the context of a church, without growth, in continued carnality, no fear, we blame it on the lack of personal discipleship, and we write it off as the doctrine of the carnal Christian.

The doctrine of the carnal Christian has destroyed more lives and sent more people to hell. Do Christians struggle with sin? Yes. Can a Christian fall into sin? Absolutely. Can a Christian live a continuous, in a continuous state of carnality all the days of his life, not bearing fruit, and truly be Christian?

Absolutely not.

Kanye’s Priorities Versus Submission to Scripture

What does all this tell us about Kanye West's Christian faith? Well, it should be clear by now that Kanye's priority is not submission to the Bible's teaching or proclaiming the gospel. If Kanye's priority was Christ and the Bible, he would have submitted himself to learning and growing as a Christian through regular attendance at a local church, and he would submit to the Bible's teaching that Christians should not be unequally yoked with non-Christians.

Most likely, it seems that Kanye's priority remains his own success in drawing media attention to himself. Rather than pursuing biblical marriage, he is pursuing the most beautiful women according to worldly standards, regardless of whether or not they are Christians.

Kanye seems to love media attention more than submission to God's commands in the Bible. In the parable of the sower, Jesus speaks of seeds that fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil.

But when the sun rose, they were scorched, and since they had no root, they withered away. At this point, I am not praying that Kanye would turn back to God. I am praying for his salvation.

The guy's a pagan, he doesn't know God, but he's fine and I don't want to let him go. I can deal with that a whole lot better. And in case you're wondering where that comes from, turn with me to the left.

2 Corinthians 6 and the Call to Unequal Yoking

Let's just settle this, shall we? Second Corinthians chapter 6, beginning at verse 14, let's just deal with this right up front, shall we? Because love is first and foremost an act of the will, and we do choose.

And there are some people you've got no business being with, you've got no business investing your life in, you've got no business going out with, you've got no business even taking the risk of becoming emotionally involved with certain individuals.

And the first thing is, if they are not a born-again, blood-washed, sold-out follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.
