However, it should be abundantly clear to Christians that Donald Trump is simply not at all a Christian. Not only are his favorite pastors false prosperity gospel teachers like Kenneth Copeland and Paula White, Trump clearly does not understand or believe the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

When asked if he ever asks God for forgiveness, Trump replied with this shockingly heretical statement.

I like to work where I don't really have to ask for forgiveness. I like to do the right thing where I don't have to actually ask for forgiveness. Does that make sense to you?

You know, where you don't make such bad things that you don't have to ask for forgiveness. I mean, I try and lead a life where I don't have to ask

God for forgiveness. But the big problem for Trump is that he in fact has done bad things. He in fact has fallen short of God's moral law and therefore deserves the righteous wrath and judgment of God.

And the only hope for Trump is to repent of his sin and humble himself before Jesus Christ, who alone can save him from his sins.

But because of Trump's ego and pride, he is unwilling to confess his sin and bow down before Jesus Christ, the

King of Kings. But does Trump's egregious spiritual and moral failures mean that Christians should have nothing to do with him?

This is where things get a little more complicated. John MacArthur has been deeply critical of Donald Trump as a presidential candidate because of his moral failures.

Sadly, we live in a culture today where being malicious is a sport.

Maligning people is a sport. It's a sport. The Internet has led to, you know, very, very brutal, brutal statements about other people.

This isn't a contradictory position to hold. As Christians, we can, on the one hand, recognize the severe moral flaws of Donald Trump, while at the same time recognize that we are not voting for his moral flaws, but rather for the general policies of the

Republican Party and of conservatism that we want to see enacted in this country. This is the same conclusion reached by Votie Bauckham, which we saw earlier, when he said that although pretty much no

Christian thinks of Trump as a moral or wonderful man, Christians should recognize the importance of elections and the consequences they have.

Despite Trump's many, many moral flaws, God, in his providence, used Trump heavily in the overturning of Roe v.

Wade, which was a momentous event in history. This is actually the first time that I've been able to do one of these events after or since the overturn of Roe v.

So, Christians, let's continue to proclaim the true gospel of Jesus Christ, to proclaim the reality of sin, the need for repentance, and that salvation comes only through faith alone and the atoning work of Jesus Christ alone.
