- Some very disturbing things are happening in the world around us. Let's take a look at four recent stories and comment on them, progressing to the most shocking at the end.
- 00:10
- At number four, there's a mother who is suing her child's school for forcing children to participate in LGBTQ activities.
- 00:17
- Watch her boldness in this interview here. Izzy, you explained in that report there, but can we just clarify, is it the topic itself or the age that it's being taught?
- 00:28
- The topic itself. I don't personally believe that this is a topic that needs to be taught in school.
- 00:34
- Everything has a purpose. School's purpose is to academically teach our children. And it's got nothing to do with sexual lifestyles or desires or relationships.
- 00:45
- But by next year, all children will be learning about relationships and families, not necessarily sex education, but relationships and families.
- 00:53
- Aren't same sex relationships part of that conversation? Families come in all shapes and sizes. No, families don't come in all shapes and sizes.
- 01:01
- We decide what happens in our families. And that's the thing. Some people might say, well, this is right for me.
- 01:09
- Some people disagree with it. Don't think you should teach everything to a child just because people think it's right for them.
- 01:15
- I don't believe that there is such a thing as two moms or two dads. There isn't. Biologically, there isn't. In a world where we see essentially every major corporation such as Google, Facebook, Coca -Cola,
- 01:26
- Apple, Instagram, YouTube, JPMorgan Chase and many, many more bowing down to every demand of the
- 01:34
- LGBTQ movement. It's refreshing to hear from a woman who is unafraid of the mob, who states the truth about marriage being between a man and a woman.
- 01:45
- We cannot redefine marriage. And I know
- 01:50
- I know what you're saying here, right? You say we can't redefine marriage, but haven't we redefined marriage?
- 01:57
- No, no, no, we haven't redefined marriage. We've blasphemed the
- 02:03
- God who created marriage, but we haven't redefined it. We agree with this mother that the school should be about learning neutral topics such as reading, writing and arithmetic, not about being indoctrinated with her own particular ideology that parents may not agree with.
- 02:21
- Who are we kidding? There's not enough time in the day to compete with the schools for the minds of our children.
- 02:29
- At number three, we have a Democratic professor named Bill Proctor standing with Florida Ron DeSantis in opposing a proposed curriculum for AP African -American studies and the backlash that occurred after DeSantis blocked this curriculum because of its biased and flawed ideology.
- 02:47
- Frankly, I'm against the college board's curriculum. I think it's trash. It's not
- 02:53
- African -American history. It is ideology. The struggle for freedom, equality and justice has not been no tension with queerness.
- 03:04
- Why did you speak out? Well, it was time when you have something, an injustice of information that will be shared with Florida schoolchildren to protect their minds, to make sure that they were getting profitable information that could sustain them through their lives was very important.
- 03:22
- And I just believe that there are a number of voices emanating. But the truth of the matter is that the college board's recommendation curriculum was not primetime ready.
- 03:33
- As a professor of African -American history, really nobody's going to know this subject as well as you.
- 03:40
- Why do you think that the AP African studies course from the college board strayed so wildly and so divergently from what you have taught for years?
- 03:50
- It's amazing that they were that far off course and outside of the traditional bounds of a
- 03:56
- John Hope Franklin, the standard text that was used at our university and among others from slavery to freedom.
- 04:05
- The book before the Mayflower, Laurent Bennett, was not in use are the works of Ivan Bansurma and other authors of note.
- 04:14
- It's just an unfathomable as to why they would be so far away from the norm.
- 04:21
- What's been the reaction to your taking a stand? Well, a number of people believe that I am endorsing
- 04:29
- Governor DeSantis or I'm backing Governor DeSantis, I view it just the opposite. Governor DeSantis is standing up for me.
- 04:38
- Governor DeSantis recognizes this curricula does not talk about freedom. And from 1619 to 1865, the quest of Africans in America during this month of African -American history has been about freedom.
- 04:52
- It does not talk about the law, the Constitution. You cannot talk about the role of the law, the
- 04:58
- Constitution, Article one, 13th Amendment, 14th, 15th Amendment, all of those things.
- 05:03
- And then, of course, how can you talk about African -American history if there is no reference to economics?
- 05:09
- And for 246 years, Africans here in America have been the instruments of economics and selling people, moving people about.
- 05:18
- That's a family issue. The contributions and even the governor pointed out that the biographies of noted, noteworthy
- 05:27
- African -Americans over the years were missing. So when you're teaching a subject matter that does not talk about the fundamentals, about freedom, about the law, about the economics of the situation, the religion, the family matters, as well as the contributions in many areas is missing something terribly bad.
- 05:50
- Here's Stephen A. Smith, a sports television personality on ESPN, criticizing
- 05:56
- DeSantis for blocking this curriculum. Don't ask me why a sports television personality is commenting on critical race theory being taught in schools.
- 06:05
- This ain't about African -American studies. This is about securing a base.
- 06:13
- Ron DeSantis is playing chess. When the hell are we going to join the party?
- 06:22
- And by we, I mean folks who are paying attention, not falling for the okie doke, not sitting up there acting like, oh, my
- 06:33
- God, this is about something it isn't. Ron DeSantis don't give a damn about African -American studies.
- 06:39
- He gives a damn about winning the presidency. And he's trying to pull off doing just that.
- 06:45
- Similarly, here's a host from MSNBC defending the original contents of the
- 06:50
- AP course, which included teaching children about queerness. Don't ask me what queerness has to do with African -American studies.
- 06:59
- Actually, ask me after this clip and then we'll talk about it. It's dealing with movements and debates.
- 07:04
- It makes no sense to me that Black Lives Matter has now been reduced to a project that the students can voluntarily investigate.
- 07:11
- When Black Lives Matter is perhaps the most significant modern movement that we've experienced here.
- 07:17
- So it seems that that should be something a little bit more direct. The stuff around black queer theory, what they've done is that they've moved it throughout the syllabus or the course and they're using primary source material.
- 07:27
- They could be a little bit more direct, I think, in this regard. But like Professor Dyson said, if we were not dealing with this against the backdrop of stay woke acts, the backdrop of critiques of critical race theory.
- 07:40
- We could actually get at the content of the course. But instead, what we're dealing with is this fear of this historiographical displacement that's driving the terror and panic.
- 07:49
- So why is learning about queerness so important to people who want to indoctrinate children using this
- 07:55
- AP African -American studies course? Well, it's because in critical race theory, which is about group identity, there is an inexorable link between both blacks and queer people being victims of oppressive groups.
- 08:09
- Particularly white Christian people. But according to critical social justice, the hegemony in America, the oppressor class in America is white, male, heterosexual, cisgendered, able bodied, native born
- 08:33
- Christian. You see, the writers of this AP African -American studies curriculum have an agenda to indoctrinate children with an ideology that is both not historical and not truthful.
- 08:46
- An ideology that is essentially the extremely flawed 1619 project. By the way, the 1619 project, you've probably heard of this, right?
- 08:56
- It's Pulitzer Prize winning, horrible piece of history. The 1619 project.
- 09:02
- What is the 1619 project all about? The 1619 project is about moving the founding of America or our understanding of the founding of America from 1776 to 1619.
- 09:13
- Because if the founding of America is 1776, then it's founded on some documents and ideas that are pretty good.
- 09:21
- But if the founding is seen as 1619, when the first slaves came to America, then
- 09:31
- America is rooted and grounded in the original sin of slavery and racism.
- 09:38
- That's what the 1619 project is all about at bottom. At number two, we have extremely similar propaganda that Disney Plus is feeding to young children.
- 09:47
- This is a clip from the show The Proud Family. This country was built on slavery, which means slaves built this country, tilled this land from sea to sea to sea.
- 09:58
- First, there was rice, tobacco, sugarcane. Then Whitney did his thing and cotton became cane. And we were its soldiers, four million strong, fighting for America's freedoms, even though we remained
- 10:07
- America's slaves. Built this country, the descendants of slaves continue to build it. Slaves built this country.
- 10:13
- And we, the descendants of slaves in America, have earned reparations for their suffering. And continue to earn reparations every moment we spend submerged in the systemic prejudice, racism, and white supremacy that America was founded with and still has not atoned for.
- 10:28
- Slaves built this country. Not only field hands, but carpenters, mazes, blacksmiths, musicians, inventors built cities from Jamestown to New Orleans, Sabbaticals, Washington, 40 acres and a mule.
- 10:39
- We'll take the 40 acres, keep the mule. We made your families rich. From the Southern Plantation heirs, to the
- 10:45
- Northern bankers, to the New England ship owners, the founding fathers, former presidents, current senators, the
- 10:50
- Illuminati, the New World Order, slaves built this country. We had Tubman, Turner, Frederick D.
- 10:56
- Then they say Lincoln freed the slaves, but slaves were men and women, and only we can free ourselves.
- 11:02
- Emancipation is not freedom. Jim Crow, segregation, redlining, public schools feeding private prisons, where we become slaves again.
- 11:09
- As we celebrate Juneteenth, for the umpteenth time, our account is still outstanding.
- 11:14
- Because this country was built on slavery, which means slaves built this country. And we demand our 40 acres and a mule.
- 11:21
- But then, you can keep the mule, keep the 40. We're taking our freedom. Again, this is essentially a rehashing of the 1619
- 11:30
- Project, which is an extremely flawed view of history that has received an enormous amount of criticism.
- 11:36
- And finally, at number one, we have the World Surf League embracing transgender ideology and allowing men to compete at its events.
- 11:46
- Professional surfer Bethany Hamilton spoke out against the league's decision. Today, I want to address the news that the
- 11:53
- World Surf League has officially made the rule that male bodied individuals known as transgender athletes can officially compete in the women's division.
- 12:03
- The World Surf League says they are following the Olympic guidelines. While I address this issue,
- 12:09
- I want to be clear that I strive to have love for all of mankind, regardless of any differences. But this concerns me as a professional athlete that has been competing in the
- 12:19
- World Surf League events for the past 15 plus years. And I feel that I must speak up and stand up for those in position that may feel that they cannot say something about this.
- 12:32
- I think many of the girls currently on tour are not in support with this new rule, and they fear being ostracized if they speak up.
- 12:42
- So here I go. Questions I have that I want to consider with you. How is this rule playing out in other sports like swimming, running,
- 12:52
- MMA? Have any of the current surfers in the World Surf League been asked what their thoughts and opinions are on this new rule before it was passed or announced?
- 13:05
- Should there be a conversation with the 17 women and all of the men on tour prior to a rule change such as this?
- 13:14
- Is a hormone level an honest and accurate depiction that someone indeed is a male or female?
- 13:21
- Is it as simple as this? Who is pushing for this huge change?
- 13:27
- Does this better the sport of surfing? Is this better for the women in surfing? If so, how?
- 13:34
- How did whoever decided these hormone rules come to the conclusion that 12 months of testing testosterone make it a fair and legal switch?
- 13:45
- Why is the WSL statement about trans women competing with women and yet there's no mention of converted women competing with men?
- 13:58
- I personally think that the best solution would be to create a different division so that all can have a fair opportunity to showcase their passion and talent.
- 14:10
- And I think it's really hard to imagine the future of women's what the future of women's surfing will be like in 15 to 20 years down the road if we move forward, allowing this major change.
- 14:23
- But we are seeing glimpses of male bodied dominance in women's sports like running, swimming and others.
- 14:31
- My hope is that if I ever have a daughter who is competing in surfing or any sport and also for all the aspiring young generation of women to have a bright and promising opportunity in her ambition to be the best of the best woman in her sport.
- 14:48
- I personally won't be competing in or supporting the World Surf League if this rule remains.
- 14:54
- Thanks. The Olympics this year. The Olympics, again, I can remember having conversations with people during the last
- 15:03
- Olympics about the danger of the transgender movement and how we were losing our minds and how women's sports were going to eventually disappear because you would have biological males identifying as females competing in women's sports.
- 15:20
- It's not going to happen the other way around. And all of a sudden, women will disappear.
- 15:32
- And at the Olympics four years ago, guess what, five years ago, the Olympics five years ago now, people were saying that's ridiculous.
- 15:42
- You and I both know that would never happen. You're just being an alarmist. And a number of transgender athletes competed at the
- 15:53
- Olympics this year. Christians, let's continue fighting for the truth of God's word, for the truth of how
- 16:01
- God created people male and female, because if we give up this fundamental and foundational truth, we are essentially giving up truth itself.
- 16:13
- More than affirmation and enablement, what lost people need to hear most of all is truth, specifically the truth of the full gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 16:26
