Adoption - Doctrine of the Week

The doctor of the week for this Sunday is adoption.

The apostle Paul wrote in Galatians chapter four, verses four through six, but when the fullness

of time had come, God sent forth his son born of a woman, born under the

law to redeem those who are under the law that we might receive the adoption

as sons.

And there's our word, adoption, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

And because you are sons, God has sent forth the spirit of his son into your hearts, crying

out, Abba, father.

So the Bible teaches that by faith in Jesus, we become children

of God.

So understand Jesus is the only begotten son of God.

We become sons and daughters of God, however, through adoption.

So because of what Jesus did, we are now part of God's family.

And we can have, because of that, we can have intimate prayer and fellowship with God because he is

now our heavenly father and we are his children through

adoption.
