What Happened When This Woman Put Her Finger in the Ring?

Perhaps you've seen some variation of this video on social media. A woman is given an offer of marriage, but just as she's about to accept, she puts her finger in the ring and is given a glimpse of a life she doesn't really want—cooking and cleaning and carrying a baby and caring for her children, heaven forbid!

So she promptly takes the ring off and walks away. But a woman in Texas, a former feminist -turned -Christian housewife, made her own video in response, and the result is beautiful.

Here's what she made. Is marriage and mothering hard work?

Yes. But the joys make the trials so very worth it. In fact, Jesus used this example of a woman in labor and joy over her children to show us that though we struggle now, by faith in Jesus, we have everlasting joy with Him in glory.

In John 16, 20 -22, Jesus told His disciples, Nothing can compare with the joy we have in Christ, here in this life, and in the life to come, when we understand the text.
