Hello, welcome back to Coffee with a Calvinist.
00:07
This is a daily conversation about Scripture, culture and media from a Reformed perspective.
00:15
Get your Bible and coffee ready and prepare to engage today's topic.
00:20
Here's your host, Pastor Keith Foskey.
00:25
Welcome back to Coffee with a Calvinist.
00:27
My name is Keith Foskey and I am a Calvinist.
00:30
Well, today is an important day on Coffee with a Calvinist, because today is our last episode of this podcast.
00:40
A year ago, COVID-19 lockdowns began, and I began to offer a daily Bible reading and devotional, and I was doing that through YouTube and Facebook, and it caught on, and people began to listen, and that became what would eventually be Coffee with a Calvinist, a daily conversation about scripture, culture, and media from a Reform perspective.
01:11
That became the podcast.
01:14
Well, again, that was a year ago, and many things have happened.
01:20
Of course, we're still not completely out of the COVID-19 woods yet.
01:25
There's still a lot going on, and there's always the fear being put out there that we may go back into another lockdown, but by God's grace, many of the restrictions have been lifted, and things are getting back to somewhat normal in many areas, so I have decided, after having a long discussion with my wife and praying and thinking about the program, that I'm going to stop the daily podcast, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop doing a podcast.
01:57
I'm just going to change from doing a daily program to a once-a-week program that's going to be a little bit more focused, a little bit more in-depth, probably a little longer.
02:10
My daily programs go from 10 to 15 minutes.
02:13
My weekly program will probably be a half hour show, and that's going to be called Conversations with a Calvinist.
02:22
And if you are on this podcast channel, you can keep this same podcast logged into your Apple podcast and everything.
02:31
The name will change, but the podcast will stay the same on your device, so you can continue listening, you can continue paying attention.
02:42
Instead of a once-a-week program, instead of a once-a-day program, it's going to be a once-a-week program.
02:49
And I hope that I'm going to be able to focus a little bit more and really get involved in some specific topics and really dive deep into those topics.
03:01
And I'm looking already at some very good things that I want to discuss, and I'm going to have some interviews on the program.
03:11
I've always done interviews, but since I'm making it a weekly thing, again, this is going to be called Conversations, so I'm going to try to be doing some more guest interviews and things like that.
03:22
So please continue to be on the lookout for podcasts.
03:26
Just know that they won't be coming every day with the frequency that they have been for the last year.
03:33
It's been quite a bit of work to put together a daily show, and as you all know, I'm a pastor of a church.
03:40
I'm a father of children, and so I've decided that I want to focus my attention in some other areas.
03:48
But I'm still going to keep the podcast going, and I'm still going to do it, but it's just going to be once a week.
03:53
So I ask that you continue to pray for the podcast, that it reaches people.
03:58
I know that over the last year, I have received several messages from people who have listened to the podcast.
04:04
People have visited the church who've listened to the podcast, and they've been very encouraged by it.
04:08
And I want to continue to be a resource for those people.
04:13
And my last thing that I'm going to say today is that as I look forward to going deeper on some subjects, if there is a subject that you would like for me to study on the program, to have a conversation about on the program, or if there's someone you want me to interview for the program, we still have the email address calvinistpodcast at gmail.com.
04:42
Calvinistpodcast at gmail.com.
04:44
Send me a message.
04:45
Let me know you're listening.
04:47
Let me know your questions.
04:49
Let me know if it's anyone that you'd like for me to interview that you think I might be able to get a hold of, and I will definitely try to get it done.
04:57
So thank you again for being with me over the last year.
05:00
If you've been listening this whole time, I truly appreciate it, and I hope that you'll continue to listen as we move to a weekly program.
05:12
Again, thank you so much for listening to Coffee with the Calvinist.
05:16
And this is our last program, so this will be the last time I sign off by saying, thank you for listening to Coffee with the Calvinist.
05:23
My name is Keith Foskey, and I have been your Calvinist.
05:29
Thank you for listening to today's episode of Coffee with the Calvinist.
05:34
If you enjoyed the program, please take a moment to subscribe and provide us feedback.
05:40
We love to receive your comments and questions and may even engage with them in a future episode.
05:47
As you go about your day, remember this.
05:50
Jesus Christ came to save sinners.
05:53
All who come to Him in repentance and faith will find Him to be a perfect Savior.
05:59
He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him.
06:05
May God be with you.
