It doesn't take much to make a difference in our enrollment. It's one thing to understand the proof of a fact.

It is another thing to understand that fact that has been proven. The highest of all revelations is given us now in the

In the book of Hebrews, as the book of Genesis, there is no attempt made to prove

God's existence. We know that he exists.

The second assumption is that God has spoken. If God could speak to us today,

Now we come to the first verse. God, who at sundry times and in divers manners, spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets.

We start the lesson with the word God. This is the

The word spake in glory everlasting, in government of all things everlasting, in time and eternity through all ages to come.

That as it is a perfect, so likewise a final revelation of God's mind and will to a lost world, a further discovery of the mind of God for man's salvation is not to be expected.

We have it all explained. It's been 2 ,000 years nearly since he spoke.

The gospel is the last effort which the divine mercy and goodness will make upon mankind in order to eternal happiness.

Herein God has spoken to us by his Son. The last, the most precious, the most glorious of all, his

Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.

Hath in these last days. The last days started with Christ's resurrection.

So we've been in the last days ever since his resurrection. Spoken to us, the saved only, the

Son. Now, Jesus Christ is the exact counterpart of God the

Father. I can't explain that. Jesus looked like a man, he acted like a man, he thought like a man, yet he carried the personality and the character of God.

Then we come to a very important reference. Can you hear me all right?

Whom he hath appointed heir. I want you to think about that. Jesus was appointed heir.

What does appointed mean, Virg? Everything that God had,

Christ came, all of our human beings, that's what this is all about. All right.

He was appointed heir for there was no other. This is God image.

But the word heir, think about that word. Joy, what does it mean?

It's going to be given to him, the man, Jesus. Everything was made by him, of all things by whom also he made the world.

It is because of that which Jesus did as a human that he was appointed heir.

This has nothing to do with his deity or his position in the Godhead.

Jesus has been made the heir of a new race of people. Now we come to the word worlds.

Aheon. A -h -e -e -o -h -n. Aheon. Forever is what it means.

Forever and unbroken age. Perpetuity of time.

Eternity. The worlds, the universe. But it means age.

Of the ages of the world. Ages to come.

Well, time is certainly in it. But he made the ages. It included time.

As many as there are. We don't know how many. We know there will be age upon age and eternity.

But we don't know how many. But the most important thing here is that he became heir.

Jesus became the heir. To be an heir means that you are human.

Would you agree with that? Since God cannot be an heir, then

Jesus must be. God cannot inherit. We will find that Jesus did all he did in a holy way.

Jesus, the man, inherited all things. Jesus cannot be

God, but he is God. How do you explain that, David? That goes beyond my imagination.

Jesus can't be God, but he is God. Jesus is

Jesus, the Christ, existed in the Old Testament. We see him coming to Abraham.

Think of that first as Abraham sat in the doorway of his tent. That was

Christ pre -incarnate. It wasn't the little baby Christ, but he took on the form of man.

We're not told anything about what he looked like. Who, being the brightness of his glory.

Brightness. Greg, as it is used here, what does brightness mean?

It's not just turned on like the light. It flashes. To get your attention.

To draw all things to him. Flashing is a poor term.

Now we have two terms. Image and likeness.

Exact likeness and perfect representation. Adam was made in the image of God.

But Christ, the second Adam, perfectly reflected visibly the invisible

Now we find that Adam was made in the image and likeness of the heavenly father.

Which he had by himself. When he had by himself purged our sins.

Upholding all things by his word of power. He holds everything.

Now that does not mean. That everything is just placed in his hand and he sits there holding it.
