01:40: Then barely the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service and a worldly sanctuary
01:47: Sanctuary Now it does not mean that it was worldly in the sense in which the word is now used
01:57: As denoting the opposite of spiritual Serious religions, but worldly in the sense that it belonged to the world
02:10: Belonged to the earth Rather than heaven It was made by human hands not directly by the hand of God For there was verse 2.

03:18: Verse 3 and after the second veil the tabernacle which is called the holiest of all

11:24: This is why you and I This is you and I and we do the work of the church
11:31: We are in the tabernacle. We don't go into the Holy of Holies yet But we are in the tabernacle going about the daily work of the church
11:41: The work of the priest went on all of the time They never finished their task
11:47: The same with us we never finish our task This must have become very monotonous
11:53: When real worship takes place it draws us into the presence of God Now only the high priest
12:02: Could go into the Holy of Holies And it draws us now into the presence of God, which is the
12:10: Holy of Holies Greg, how do we get in there? I'm not a high priest All right, that's why it said we are in him
12:22: Why it did not say we belong to him To worship means to give someone

13:24: The tabernacle never brought the people into the presence of God only the high priest once a year could go in But into the second
13:37: Now we're going into the second the high priest alone once every year
13:44: Not without blood which he offered for himself and for the errors of his people the high priest entered the sacred place bearing a censer burning with coals and His hands full of sweet incense
14:00: He then placed the censer upon the burning coals and the cloud Of the burning incense covered the mercy seat that was all done in the
14:11: Holy of Holies Leviticus 16 12 and 13 next he took the blood of a bullock
14:19: Which had been slain for the sin offering for himself he had to offer a sin offering for himself now before he ever gets to the people and Sprinkled the blood of the bullocks upon and before the mercy seat.
14:38: He then went out of the Holy of Holies killed a goat which was the sin offering for the people of Israel and he
14:48: Did with the blood of the goat as he had done with the blood of the bullock now he has
14:57: Satisfied himself or God for himself and he goes out and kills the goat and he's going to take that goat
15:05: Take the blood of the goat After The high priest finished the work within the veil he came forth
15:14: Laid both of his hands on the head of the live goat And with his hands on the goat's head he confessed over it all of the iniquities of the children of Israel All of their transgressions and all of their sins
15:31: Putting them upon the head of the goat Which was then sent away into a land not inhabited
15:39: He removed the sins of the people in reality. He had to do this every year
15:45: So he rolled it all forward one year The ministry of the high priest on the day of atonement is a magnificent type of what the
15:56: Lord Jesus did for us in his death The live goat or Can't turn pages very well
16:16: Upon whose head the priest placed his hands Confessing the sins of Israel and then sending the goat away into a land not inhabited.
16:26: It is a magnificent picture of Jesus Bearing our sins away from us as far as the east is from the west
16:37: The blood of the animal Animal sacrifice during the Mosaic economy could not take away sin
16:47: The animal blood cannot take away sin. It just rolled them forward one year
16:55: If you can picture that the high priest has done all that he's going to do on the day of atonement and all that It was rolling the sins forward one year until finally what

17:17: People that were living then and our sins all away send them all
17:24: To a place where there was nothing Yes, here was presented a glorious and magnificent picture
17:35: But Paul is attempting to get his people to see that this way was no longer needed We don't need to do that Since there's one much better Jesus the antitype the fulfillment of all that the
17:53: Tabernacle of the priesthood and the offerings typify Everything that they did was a picture of what was going to be done
18:03: Jesus has done it. We no longer need to kill a goat no longer
18:11: Need to sacrifice anything Because he did it all. Yes That's right.

18:35: Just as right as it can be Because they're looking to something other than Jesus for their salvation

19:20: Even those that symbolically now offer a goat
19:30: Verse 8 the Holy Ghost was signifying that the way into the holiest of all was
19:37: Not yet made manifest While as the first tabernacle was yet standing the tabernacle stood until Our Lord was through with it it functioned it did its work
20:00: Why did they do away with the tabernacle? Well, why is it even the
20:15: Jews the tabernacle is not an existence Well, then you're saying the
20:24: Lord did away with it Say yes
20:33: When he was through with it, he did away with it no matter what man does Yes Why not have both the tabernacle and Jesus That's right because the time of the earth that they preached is over Because God said it was over.
21:18: That's right. Absolutely. Well, you can look all you want to there's only one way
21:31: The true tabernacle Jesus is now in heaven Within the veil with the
21:37: Father on the throne of grace It's exactly where he resides
21:43: Yes Well, we'll see the tabernacle.
22:06: I don't know whether it comes to earth or we see it in heaven Nine which was a figure for the time then present
22:17: Now by the fact that said that it suggests there was another time coming
22:24: Can you see that? In which were offered both gifts and sacrifices that could not make him that did the service perfect Pertaining to the conscience
22:39: This man was not made perfect even in his holiest state. He wasn't perfect.

24:09: Justification, sanctification, holiness, righteousness, all of which can be provided only
24:16: Through the shed blood of Jesus. That's the only way you can get it Or any part of it.

25:00: Everything was planned ahead of time I hate to use the word plan because God did not plan out anything.
25:08: He simply thought it The offerings made in the tabernacle could not take away sin
25:15: You see that Greg? It's impossible They could not remove the stain of sin from a soul nor could they keep the person for whom the sacrifice was offered
25:29: Yes, the sins were covered for a time But offerings had to be made again and again and again and again over and over day after day year after year
25:41: Even for the high priest himself because he was a man in infirmity
25:48: Even the high priest had to cleanse his own sins first Ten which stood only in meals and drinks and divers washings and carnal ordinances imposed on them until the time of Reformation The same word used for washing is used for baptism the
26:13: Greek word translated Reformation means literally a making straight
26:21: Therefore the time of Reformation was the time when that which was inadequate and imperfect because of the weakness of the flesh would give way and he set aside for that which is perfect and effectual the time when the antitype would be would supersede the type and the shadow the time when that which had been unsuccessful would be fulfilled by God himself in his only begotten
26:56: Son who kept the law did away with all things that pleased the
27:06: Father He did away with all things that did not please the Father In the tabernacle the people could come only into the courtyard
27:17: Now get the picture again The courtyard was everything inside of the curtain
27:25: Jesus the Christ can bring us to God but only he can bring us there
27:34: We dare not go into the presence of God We cannot go into the presence of God unless we're in Jesus He is my high priest
27:46: John 6 .44 No man can come to me except the Father which hath sent me draw him and I will raise him up to the last day
27:57: John 14 .6 Jesus saith unto him I am the way, the truth, and the life
28:04: No man cometh unto the Father but by me He said it over and over and over No one comes except through me by me, with me
28:16: Years ago the world tried to get rid of Jesus by crucifying him
28:23: That was a carnal act to do away with a spiritual person Today the liberal church is trying to get rid of him by their style of worship which is not worship at all
28:37: John 14 .6 Jesus saith unto him I am the way, the truth, and the life
28:43: No man cometh unto the Father but by me I know a lot of Christians that think they're grown and even have gray hair and they're still playing church
28:59: They go to committee meetings They're on the board Some even sing in the choir
29:04: Some teach Sunday school class They're all busy as termites with about the same amount of destruction
29:15: They think they are serving God Know this You can never serve him until you have worshipped him
29:32: Verse 11 But Christ being come and high priest of good things to come by a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is to say not of this building
29:52: All this business of trying to sweeten up the worship service with pictures and stained glass windows and candles and crosses ministers to the flesh only
30:10: It does not minister to the spiritual needs at all You can worship him anywhere and it is wonderful when we can come together in the church and really worship him
30:22: You're worshipping him this morning in the study of his word That's right
30:49: Doesn't have anything to do with us But we can worship him Not by singing
30:57: Not by our looks Not by anything Worship him
31:02: What is real, pure, stripped away worship Yes That's right
31:24: When we can get self completely out of the way How often does that happen to you?
31:36: Neither by the blood of goats and calves but by his own blood He entered in once into the holy place having obtained eternal redemption for us
31:49: He has obtained eternal redemption Jesus' teaching never saved anyone
32:01: It was his death and resurrection that saved us Because he entered in I'm in him
32:09: I had to enter in For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled the unclean sanctified to the purifying of the flesh

32:35: We find reference to the ashes of a heifer Heifer This ceremony was not confined to the day of atonement but was an observance that was available to all at all times to the purifying of flesh
32:53: The heifer was burned The ashes were preserved and mixed with pure water that they might be sprinkled over the persons who had become legally unclean
33:06: When an Israelite through contact with a dead body became ceremonially defiled he was caught off from the public worship
33:17: But when he was sprinkled with the pure water mixed with ashes of the heifer he was restored
33:23: Do you see how all of that is physical? How much more shall the blood of Christ who through the eternal spirit offered himself without spot to God purge your conscience from the dead works to serve the living
33:45: God Blood of Christ signifies the humanity of Christ The blood of Christ The man of Christ The blood
33:57: God doesn't have blood Only the man's side has blood
34:04: Here we see indisputable proof that the death of Jesus that Christ does away with works on the part of man as means of obtaining redemption or acquiring acceptance with God You can do absolutely nothing
34:27: It's hard to do nothing In doing nothing you're doing something which is nothing
34:35: But you can do nothing to be accepted of God Works of righteousness bring no peace no eternal life no clean conscience toward God and no communion with God And for this cause he is the mediator of the
34:58: New Testament that by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament that they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance
35:15: They which are called Again, we had nothing to do with it

36:33: So we see if Jesus had never died no one could have been saved

36:54: His death For a testament is a force after men are dead
37:01: Otherwise it is nothing The testator liveth
37:42: Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood For when
37:48: Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law he took the blood of calves and of goats with water and scarlet wool and hyssop and sprinkled both the book and all the people saying this is the blood of the testament which
38:08: God hath enjoyed upon you enjoined upon you
38:14: Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry and almost all things are by the law purged with blood and without the shedding of blood is no remission
38:32: Moses sanctified the entire convent the entire tabernacle
38:45: Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin There is power in the blood
38:52: Not through some individuals in jinn some individual or physical strength or even spiritual strength
39:06: It was therefore necessary that the patterns of these things in heaven should be purified with these but heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these they still had to purify
39:25: Where did sin originate? That wasn't the originating point

41:58: He died on earth to please the Father when saving his people He lives in heaven to keep us safe not to please us but to please the

42:19: Heavenly Father Made with hands this refers to the tabernacle on earth which was constructed by human hands it also tells us that God does not use hands of Jesus or angels to construct anything in heaven
42:39: Well how in the world did he build it, Greg? Alright The place prepared for us was not built as man would build
42:52: All that's needed any time, any place is the will of God Not yet that he should offer himself often as the high priest entered into the holy place every year with blood of others

43:32: For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself
43:46: The Bible does not teach the end of the world What does it teach?

44:16: It does teach that all things will be changed Jesus appeared at the end of the age but he instituted a new age an age of grace 27 and as it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment

44:55: All of that's got to be a Satan No matter how good man things is we cannot speak of spiritual things
45:08: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many notice it says many not all and unto them the many that looked for him shall he appear the second time without sin
45:30: Jesus that we saw go away is coming back he's not coming with sin There is no transmigration of body to body in other words there is no great incarnation as a great many people believe today
