Hey guys, Colin here, and welcome back to Fight for Truth. In this video, we need to talk about Todd Friel's brilliant reaction when he was confronted by a woman while street preaching.

So, for those who don't know, Todd Friel is a Reformed Baptist content creator, very much in the same vein theologically as John MacArthur.

Todd is the host of Wretched, one of the most popular Christian channels on YouTube. But he's not quite as well -known for his street preaching videos, which is a shame because they really are excellent.

Case in point, watch this video of when Todd was aggressively confronted by a woman while preaching the gospel on the street in front of a bunch of people.

And there are so many problems with this response, it's honestly hard to know where to begin.

First, the core of her complaint is that Todd was simply there to place blame and guilt and shame on them and call out their sinful actions.

She confidently declares that Jesus would never want him to do this and that it's completely against the mission of Christ.

Instead, Jesus would want him to help the poor and the destitute. And there's a lot more I could say, but I'd rather let

Todd say it because he does it so well. Watch this. First, Todd has a brilliant response to the

Don't Judge Me argument, or Only God Can Judge. This is a tried -and -true statement that secular leftists love to trot out because they think it's a dunk on bigoted

Christians. But unfortunately, this perspective is just as ridiculous and nonsensical as it's always been.

This woman just went on a minute -long, angry, cuss -word -laden rant about how terrible of a person

Todd is for judging other people. But the obvious problem is that she was judging him quite heavily,

I might add, in her response. Yes, in Matthew 7 -1, Jesus says, Judge not, lest ye be judged.

True. But he also says, Judge with right judgment. You see, Jesus is not warning against all judgments, but against hypocritical judgments, inconsistent judgments.

And secondly, Todd rightly points out that her little tirade assumes that Christians are not doing the very thing she mentioned.

This is absolutely untrue. It ignores the fact that most of the best schools were started by Christians.

Many of the best hospitals were started by Christians. Literacy amongst the poor increased greatly because Christians wanted people to be able to learn and read the

Bible. And as we speak, there are hundreds, if not thousands, of Christian organizations feeding the poor and adopting children who have no guardians.

And all of this is because our Lord told us in Mark 12 -31 to love our neighbor as ourself.

So the next time you hear a progressive talking about how Christians care more about calling out sin than helping the poor, feel free to kindly let them know that they have absolutely no idea what they're talking about.

But in the next clip, Todd really gets to the root of the issue here. Watch this. Okay, let me ask you, and I ask this gently, how many poor people have you fed today?

How many orphans did you adopt today? How many strangers did you walk with?

Have you helped anybody with their homework today? If we're going to use that standard, we are all falling short.

That's the point. We don't do what we should and the things that we shouldn't do, we do.

That is our problem. And is there anything today that we can agree with that nobody does enough good?

Can we agree with that? Can we also agree that we all do things that are bad? You don't have to admit them.

I don't need to see your resume. But do we not all lust? Do we not all lie?

Do we not all take things that don't belong to us, downloading music or answers from somebody else or a pencil we don't return to somebody's office?

Did we not all dishonor our parents by being little snotty kids who didn't disobey or threw a tantrum and fell down on the floor?

Or how's about the fact that you look at pornography, does that not dishonor your mom and dad? Think of what all the things that you've done.

Now, this was an excellent response from Todd, because what he's doing here is very clever. He's applying their own standard to them right in front of them.

You see, the unbelievers here think that Todd is going to defend himself, that he's going to try and make himself look righteous, contrary to what that woman just said.

Instead, he just takes it on the chin. He says, well, actually, yes, I'm guilty of sin. In fact, we all are.

This is the core of the problem. If you believe that we have a problem, sin, then you will look for a solution.

Jesus, if you do not believe you have a problem because you're a special little snowflake at the center of the universe who can do no wrong, then you will scoff at anyone who tries to tell you anything different.

This is why I cringe when I see people calling out evangelists like Todd for bringing up sin or hell, as if talking about these things makes you somehow mean -spirited or ineffective in spreading the gospel.

It doesn't. We have forgotten that even Jesus Christ himself said, quote, repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 4, 17. He did not sugarcoat his message at the expense of his father's truth. He never did, and neither should we.

We should be loving, of course, but truthful at the same time. And Todd does this brilliantly.

Watch this next clip. And God will make sure that you receive what you deserve.

It's as simple as that. Justice will be done. It is certain. It's called judgment day.

But before that day comes, you have a chance to be forgiven because the punishment you deserve,

Jesus Christ took for you. The death that you deserve, Jesus died for you. And you can trust him because he rose from the dead, defeating death.

And you don't have to be scared to meet God anymore. You don't have to be scared of the grave. He will forgive you if you will repent and put your trust in him today.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the ultimate goal of the interaction. You see, the irony here is that people often look at street preachers and they think, wow, just another one of those fundamentalist

Christians who are here to give me the bad news about how terrible I am all over again. And again, the irony here is that they're actually giving you the most joyful news that you could possibly hear.

Yes, you are sinful and in need of a savior. That's true. But the Lord has provided one and praise him for that.

Isn't that good news? You can be saved and no longer feel the weight of judgment and guilt that is on you rightly.

As the woman lamented in the beginning of the video, this is the glorious truth of Jesus Christ. Todd Freel has given an excellent example here by God's grace.

So let's all be this courageous, this bold and this loving as we preach the gospel for the glory of God.
