This is Really Hard to Watch

I pray for John MacArthur. I pray for that God would tender his heart.

Now there's one other thing, and this is where we get to Paula White and those like her. It's hard to imagine two pastors who are more different than Paula White and John MacArthur.

White has criticized MacArthur. And I have to ask you, so Pastor John MacArthur, he's come under fire in recent days for his comments about women and their role in the church.

And he told Beth, or he said that Beth Moore should go home. What are your thoughts and what's your reaction to his comments?

So I know what it is for people to make all kinds of slanderous remarks, to make all kinds of, not saying that what he says, because that's his conviction, but saying that I know what it is to have malice and lies and everything all around me.

So I pray for people. I really do. I pray for John MacArthur. I pray for that God would tender his heart.

I pray that he'd have eyes of understanding. And MacArthur has criticized White. She is a representative of all that is uncomfortable, unacceptable, and even heretical in the name of Jesus Christ.

Which one of them is right? Let's take a look at four of their teachings.

Round one. Should women like White be teaching men the way she does?

White says that God called her to the teaching ministry she now leads.

You know, God is a perfect God. And in Psalm 139, it says that he's the one that knit us in our mother's womb.

He's the one that formed us. And God obviously knew to create me as a woman. I never called myself into ministry.

God called me when I was 18 years old to preach the gospel. So I've preached the gospel.

MacArthur argues that the Bible is clear that God designed men and women to have different roles within the church and family.

But I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet. That is so absolute.

It's unbending. No preaching, no teaching, no leading position in the church.

Round two. The prosperity gospel and law of attraction.

White teaches the prosperity gospel and that we have the power to control whether good or bad things happen in our lives.

I want you to get an image. What does your life look like in five years? What's your life look like in 10 years?

I want you to see yourself. Are you whole? Are you happy? Do you have restoration?

Are you healthy? Are you fulfilling purpose? Are you moving in all that God ordained for you to be?

Are you walking in headship and inheritance? Are you put together fully to the condition that God created you to be in the first place?

I want you to get a visual image. Can you see it right now? Can you see that? Because here's what it says.

As a man thinks, so is he at last in his actions. So in 10 years, if I don't like the condition of my life,

Marvin, I don't get to blame everybody else. I have to look back. What did I plant as a seed in my life earlier that brought this action in this harvest now?

So if I don't like it, listen, there's some things in my life that got all jacked up and messed up. And I didn't always guard and keep my mind the way

I should have. But I've learned because I don't like places of pain. I don't like hurt.

So I've learned. I don't want that to be a part of my life. It's not a place of pleasure.

So I'm on guard. I'm going to guard what goes in my mind. And I've got to be responsible to take some things out of my mind.

White just declares things to be true. I declare rest for without walls.

I declare rest for you as a people of God. I declare rest for you. I declare a rest for you.

MacArthur stands against the prosperity gospel. Let me tell you something. God does not give the unregenerate man what he naturally longs for.

God doesn't fulfill the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. And when you say that it is

God giving you what you in your natural fallen longings want, you are calling

God Satan. That's what you're doing. I'll say it again.

God does not give the unregenerate person what in His natural longings

He desires. That's the love of the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life. God is not in the business of fulfilling evil, selfish, self -indulgent desires.

What the gospel does promise is salvation for the broken and the shattered and the heart -sick and the guilty and the fearful and the threatened who have come to grips with their sin and the judgment of God and desperately want deliverance.

We have to know the true God. He teaches that we do not have the kind of power that people like Paula White say we have.

From Benny Hinn to Marilyn Hickey to Frederick Price to Joyce Meyer to Kenneth Copeland to John Hagee, Robert Tilton, Kuntz, Roberts, Hagen, all of them, all the way down to Paula White.

They all claim that every so -called Christian has the personal divine power to recreate life's realities into exactly what he or she wants.

It's all theirs, and you use the name of Jesus, the genie. You rub the magic lamp and Jesus the genie pops out, just waiting to be activated by the power of sovereign faith in a person to give that person what he or she wants by the power of attraction.

All this in the name of Jesus Christ. It's not just a lie. It's a lie that basically preys on those who are desperate.

It's a predatory lie. It's for predators who want to become rich at the expense of disappointed, troubled people.

Round three, prayer and tongues. This is how

White prays. Strike and strike. Angels have even dispatched from Africa right now.

Africa right now. Africa right now. From Africa right now. They're coming here. They're coming here in the name of Jesus from South America.

They're coming here. They're coming here. They're coming here. They're coming here from Africa, from South America.

Angelic forces, angelic reinforcement, angelic reinforcement, angelic reinforcement. I hear the sound of victory.

I hear the sound of victory. I hear the sound of victory. In contrast, MacArthur says this about speaking in tongues.

It's very easy to falsify. You can't falsify a miracle.

You can't falsify anything as easily as you can falsify that, and everybody can talk in gibberish.

I think that's what started the movement. And this is how MacArthur prays. May we remember the sacrifice that He provided for us, and may it motivate our sanctification to show our loving gratitude to Him.

Amen. President Trump chose

White to be his faith advisor, and White spoke at his inauguration. And then

I hear the new president say that she's his favorite preacher, to whom he's been listening since 2007.

Frightening. MacArthur sees a big problem with President Trump choosing White for this position.

So when I watch the inauguration, and I see Paula White in the middle, just terrifying.

Why are all these false teachers so successful? Because they're in line with Satan, who's the god of this world, prince of the power of the air, who rules in the sons of disobedience.

This is going to be successful because the fallen world will embrace it. This is false

Christianity from hell. No biblical understanding of God, no biblical understanding of man, no biblical understanding of sin, no recognition of total depravity, man's universal inability to do anything in the flesh that pleases

God, let alone think himself to be God who can speak into existence something that he desires.

Is White or MacArthur the true Christian teacher? The answer should be obvious.
