Waffling Leadership—Its Causes, Corrupting Effects, and Cures

We have been working our way through the book of 2 Samuel in our morning sermons. The focus of the section we are in now is the sin in David’s home because of his sin. With chapter 13, we have seen the beginnings of these troubles, first with the rape of David’s daughter Tamar by here half-brother Amnon, followed by the vigilante murder of Amnon by Absalom. Today, we take up chapter 14, we see David waffling and therefore easily manipulated.
