Republican Party and the modern conservative movement for years now. And on July 13th, 2024, a date that many will never forget, a man attempted to shoot him at a rally in Pennsylvania.

Watch this. You want to really see something that said, take a look at what happened. Now let me offer some initial observations here.

First of all, I understand that Trump is not a good biblical Christian as a person. I am well aware of that.

However, if you can watch that video, if you can watch Trump get shot in the ear, then rise up with blood dripping down his fist, pumping in the air, screaming the word fight over and over again, as the crowd begins to chant

USA, USA. If you can watch all of that and not be moved emotionally as an

American, then I think your citizenship needs to be revoked, period. And for those of you who have not heard, the shooter, whose name

I will not mention, was killed. And it looks like at least one other person at the rally was killed as well.

Please pray for that individual's family as they go through this tragic loss. Here's the thing. There are lots of different directions that I could go with this, but I refuse to speculate on facts that we simply don't have yet.

What I really want to talk about is what this means for Christians in America. But before I can talk about that, we need to talk about the elephant in the room.

If you're an evangelical American Christian, you might be a bit torn here because for decades, we have been constantly told things like, stop caring so much about politics, and both political parties have some good points, so stop acting like it's so black and white.

And all of this has ultimately made the average Christian afraid to even think about political issues.

So it's not a coincidence at all that in the past few decades, unbiblical movements like the LGBT movement, for example, have grown by leaps and bounds, while Christians who outnumber these people 100 to 1 have been sitting on their couches praying that things will get better and trying to, quote, not make an idol out of politics.

So let me establish something with you here. If you're a Christian, politics ought to matter to you.

Why? Because Christ is Lord of the whole earth, the King of Kings, 1 Timothy 6, 15.

And he's not just the Lord of your personal heart. And while God certainly does care about your individual sanctification, of course he does, he also cares about establishing justice across the board,

Amos 5, 24. So now that we understand that Christians are allowed to care about politics, in fact, they really should, what should we think about the attempted assassination of Trump here?

And more importantly, why exactly did this happen? Well, I think we can answer that question quite easily.

For years now, the left has been saying that Trump is a supervillain who's out to ruin our sacred democracy.

In 2017, comedian Kathy Griffin posted a picture of her holding a fake human head made to look like Trump.

The left has also been comparing Trump and his supporters to Hitler and the Nazis over and over and over again for years now.

At the same time, there was a trend on the radical left of normalizing punching Nazis. In other words, there was a sneaky tactic going on here.

You see, for the most part, they didn't just come out and say, go hurt Trump. That's too direct. Instead, they spent almost a decade carefully crafting a mass propaganda campaign.

And this campaign's goal was simple. Not to say hurt Trump, but rather to make Trump sound like the type of person who deserves to be hurt, who someone should go out and hurt.

But all Christians know that one of the Ten Commandments of Moses is, quote, you shall not bear false witness.

But that's what the left did here. Quite simply, they said that Trump is like Hitler and his supporters are just like fascists.

This is false and they knew it, plain and simple. And this has led directly to violent sentiment against Donald Trump.

These people need to be held accountable. Indeed, this was all done very publicly. It's not a secret at all.

And when the propaganda campaign didn't work, the left facilitated a series of legal attacks recently against Trump by using activist judges and exaggerated charges.

This has become known as lawfare. They tried impeaching him. They tried indicting him. They tried mugshotting him.

They even tried convicting him. Their goal is simple. Remove Trump from the equation by any means necessary.

And when none of this succeeded in getting Trump out of their hair, what exactly were they supposed to do next?

Well, Tucker Carlson asked Trump this question point blank in an interview. He said, when are these people going to try being violent against you?

Is this something that you're concerned about? Watch this. I'm looking at the trajectory since 2015, when you got into politics, you know, for real.

And then one there started with protests against you, massive protests, organized protests by the left.

And then it moved to impeachment twice. And now indictment. I mean, the next stage is, is violence is are you worried that they're going to try and kill you?

Why wouldn't they try and kill you? Honestly, they're savage animals. They are people that are sick, really sick.

So you see, the writing has been on the wall for a long time. They hate this man. And more than a few

Democrats wouldn't be sorry to see him in a body bag. So why should any of this matter to you as a

Christian, you ask? Let me answer that question with a better question. If the left has their way, if the pro -choice movement had their way, if the

LGBT movement has their way too, and if the secular culture had its way in all things

U .S. politics, will this country be a harder place to be a Christian in public or an easier place to be a

Christian in public? And by contrast, what if the MAGA supporters, the Trumpers have their way?

What if the conservatives were in charge? Would this country be an easier or a harder place to be a

Christian in public? You see, while neither U .S. political party lines up perfectly with biblical values, we all know that, the leftist

Democrat party is far and away the most anti -biblical, evil political force that America has ever seen, bar none.

And everyone with two eyes in their head knows it. And therefore, any real threat to Trump's life ought to be a huge wake -up call for Christians.

And the sad thing is that while we all know the obvious answers to these questions, big evangelicalism will deny the answers because they don't want the secular culture to take away the few tiny shreds of credibility that they still have with them.

It's that simple. And you know the people I'm referring to, David French, Russell Moore, Beth Moore, etc.

These are our evangelical leaders who often talk about politics. But they are far more concerned with catering to the left than in making this country a tangibly better place for the

Christians who listen to them. And there's an even bigger elephant in the room here. We can't forget that historically speaking, it's not been that long ago that Roe v.

Wade was overturned by a Supreme Court that Trump conveniently appointed. A woman's freedom to take the life of her baby in the womb is a sacred ritual for the pagan left.

I don't think there's anything that makes them more furious in the past few years than what happened to Roe. So it really doesn't matter what this particular shooter's motives were.

The pagan leftist movement wants to have complete and total freedom to do whatever they want and shake their fist at God in the process.

And regardless of what you think as a Christian about Trump's personality, he is the most obvious thing standing in these people's way.

Ultimately, that is why they hate him and that is why many of them want him out of the picture for good.

But here's the good news. God is in control. The Lord is sovereign over every atom on this earth.

And this situation ought to show you that. If Trump was a few inches to the right or to the left, he might have been killed.

But he wasn't. And while the world might look at this and call it a big coincidence, Christians know who is really in control of everything.
