Today, we're looking at Psalm 119 verse 35 and you're going to notice something here verses 33 through 40

And this psalm is broken up into sections that sort of have certain themes and things

Well in verse 33, he says I want to be instructed but then verse 34 through 39 It begins in the legacy standard bible with calls me or calls my

So he says calls me to understand calls me to walk calls my heart calls my eyes calls your word

Calls my reproach. So you see this repeated refrain and so anytime you have something repeated in scripture

Just like we would see in any other work of literature That's usually because the author is intending to make a point or intending to emphasize something

So he says in verse 34 calls me to understand I'll keep it with all my heart now here in verse 35

He says calls me to walk in the path of your commandments for I delight in it notice the approach of david in terms of his position versus god's position

He sees god as the power source as the one who makes his decree

Who is the sovereign over all things that I can assure you? that one of the things that will change your life in the best way aside from our salvation, obviously, but Something that will change your life and bring you to a higher level of spirit

Spiritual maturity faster than anything else and bring you great. Peace And as he says here in verse 5 great delight

Is to wrap your head around the sovereignty of god to live with the understanding of god's sovereignty to rest

In the sovereignty of god. He says I not only want to be instructed. I not only want to understand your ways

But here he says calls me to walk in the path of your commandments

We need god to supernaturally empower us to do what we must do and he says

I want to walk I want to live I want to exist. I want to abide in the path of your commandments

Jesus christ himself self says abided me And I and you abided me christ says to walk in the path of christ's commandments to live

In the right ways to abide in christ and notice he says I delight in it

It's nothing that's forced on us But we recognize if we are walking in the right path is because god is causing it in our life

He's the one that regenerates us to spiritual life. He writes his law in our hearts

He gives us the desire to live in his law And we find ourselves

Wanting him to move us forward And living in an increasing level of righteousness and as we do that We grow in delight and in joy

In how we are able through the power of god To live in the path

Of god's commandments. Amen. Well, I pray that that is your goal. I pray that that is your prayer today
