The Perspicuity of Scripture: The Bible is Clear

We're not looking for Bible code. We're not looking for something underneath the words or something like that.

We're just going to the Bible and reading what it says, like Jesus said. Go and learn what this means.

I desire mercy and not sacrifice. Jesus believes in the clarity of Scripture.

Well, isn't that obvious? This doctrine is under attack today. People like to pretend the Bible is confusing.

People like to pretend that the Bible is contradictory. People like to pretend like the Bible is hard to stand.

Hard to understand. They like to say things like, well, that's just your interpretation. They like to pretend like the

Bible is not clear. Let me say this. When we say that the

Bible is not clear, we are saying that the Holy Spirit doesn't know how to communicate.
