Let's take a look at 5 times people interrupted a church service and confronted the pastor publicly and see what we can learn from them.

At number 5 we have Todd Bentley being confronted by Justin Peters. And he said, knew you, depart from me, you workers of iniquity.

Jesus. At first glance it might seem that Justin Peters is just being mean and Todd Bentley is being very loving and gracious.

But let's take a look at just why Justin calls Todd a false teacher. And there's this older lady worshipping right in front of the platform.

I inched closer and I went like this. Bam! And just as my boot made contact with her nose, she fell into the power of God.

So I jumped up in the air and I went bam! And I hit him to the ground, jumped onto him and got into a full mount.

Ground and pound. I jumped on him and I was in a full mount and something came over me and instead of punching him,

I grabbed him by the neck and started choking him. And I said, come out of him devil! Come out of him devil!

Now I was in another meeting one time and I called out this Chinese gentleman. And all of a sudden

I went running down the aisle and I hit this guy so hard, it drove him back several feet.

He hit the ground and his tooth popped right out of his mouth. The pastor was lying on the floor and I was standing up on the platform and I said,

God I want revival. And he said these words to me, leg drop the pastor.

The reason Justin Peters confronted Todd Bentley publicly is because Todd is simply one of the worst charlatan faith healers in the country.

An obvious false teacher who is making a mockery of Jesus, the gospel and the Christian faith. At number four we have

Joel Osteen being confronted by Bruce Pepper at a Lakewood conference who is an

Acts 29 USA preacher. This is a King James Version Bible.

It says to put a difference between the holy and the profane.

This Bible says no man ever walked out of a confessional with his sins forgiven.

This Bible says that God loves you. This Bible talks about a one world religion which you are being primed for tonight.

I say? I don't really know anything about Bruce Pepper. But I do know that Joel Osteen doesn't teach at all about sin or hell.

That he teaches a health and wealth word of faith prosperity gospel. That he treats people like Oprah, Catholics and Mormons as fellow

Christians and much, much more. We've covered Osteen in many other videos on this channel.

Osteen does not teach the true gospel of Jesus Christ. And it is an act of love not hate to communicate this to his congregation.

At number three we have Pastor John Lowe being confronted by his victim. Initially Lowe confessed to adultery and then received a standing ovation from the people in the church.

But then something very unexpected happened. It was nearly 20 years ago.

It continued far too long. I have no defense. I committed the adultery.

To say it plainly, I didn't make a mistake. I didn't have an issue. I didn't have an affair. I didn't make a misjudgment.

I sinned. I need to say that and you deserve to hear it.

I repent for the adultery and my sins. Please forgive me.

After Lowe's confession the church gave him a standing ovation. However at this point the victim and her husband stepped forward to communicate the truth about what really happened.

I lived in a prison. It was not 20 years. I lived in a prison of lies and shame.

Needless to say what John Lowe did to this woman is absolutely horrific and it was evil for him to try to downplay his sin and treat it as merely adultery.

What Lowe did in exploiting, taking advantage of, and abusing an underage girl was far, far worse than what he communicated to his congregation.

What this woman and her husband did in exposing the truth was both brave and right.

At number two we have Pastor Dana Muldoon being exposed by Calvary Chapel Pastor Scott Rodriguez.

We need to show an intense love to them. But above all of those things, we need to spend all of our time at the deepest place of prayer, praying that God indeed would protect all those who hear this false message that comes from her lips.

She is a false teacher who is a disgrace to the true gospel of Jesus Christ. And Scott was courageous and doing the loving thing to speak the truth to her and her audience.

At number one, we have John MacArthur being called out by someone who opposes his cessationist theology.

You have grieved the Holy Spirit of God. Your doctrine of cessation is an error.

He has been grieved, John MacArthur. I've been sent here to tell you that. You're sharpening the sword and they're cutting each other.

You put on believing in you, you teach you the truth. Your doctrine of cessation is an error,

John MacArthur. It's an error. I have been sent to tell you it's an error. For the unbeliever, they've heard of your sin, they came to you without a disclose.

MacArthur responded to this incident by explaining why the man was so upset with his theology.

What he was saying, you heard what he was saying, but what he was trying to say was to say that spiritual gifts and tongues and prophecies and prophets and all of that have ceased is a heresy and that the doctrine of cessation is wrong and that he is a prophet.

There's a text in 1 Corinthians that says let the spirit of the prophets be subject to the prophets. If you were a real prophet, you wouldn't behave in such a way.

That's a sad situation of all the things that you could get upset about.

I think it's fine to disagree with MacArthur's view of spiritual gifts. Paul Washer himself says he can't find definitive evidence in Scripture that the sign gifts of the

New Testament, such as the gift of tongues, have ceased. Although Washer says that he is a practical cessationist because he can't find any examples of it today.

When I go to the text, I cannot, you know, I see the arguments and stuff, but I can't say that I can say in my conscience that these things have ceased.

But here's what I do do. I look at what tongues are in the Scriptures and I don't see them anywhere today.

What I see in the Scriptures as being tongues, and I compare that to people who say they speak in tongues,

I see something completely different. So see, some people are cessationists.

That means they believe tongues have ceased. I kind of call myself a practical cessationist in the sense that I do not say those things have ceased.

I've seen God heal people, you know, but have I seen a man who had the gift of healing?

No. Whether or not a Christian agrees with MacArthur's position concerning spiritual gifts, it seems clear to me that this is an issue that genuine

Christians can disagree about and that it's not warranted to interrupt a church service and confront a pastor publicly over an issue like this.
