Okay, now on to Lucy, the single best example we have of human evolution.
Just a small pile of bones? Well, this isn't just any pile of bones. These are replicas of the bone fragments of Lucy.
Is this here the same one at St. Louis Zoo? Yes, that's the one. Could you show us all of her skull fragments, please?
Well, they actually didn't find much. It's just these pieces here. What about a vertebrae, neck vertebrae?
Well, they only found one neck vertebra, but they later discovered it didn't belong to Lucy.
It belonged to an extinct monkey. What about her wrists? Were they like ours, or were they locked in place for chimp wonking?
Here's a wrist bone. They locked just like chimps today. Where are her feet and hand bones?
They actually didn't find any. Well, that didn't stop them from putting them on every statue of her in any museum
