Word of God. Y 'all familiar with Jeremiah Johnson? This is the guy who famously prophesied that Trump would win re -election in the year 2020.

He admitted he got it wrong. He went dark for a little bit, but then came back.

And this episode of Fighting for the Faith is going to be dedicated to showing you that Jeremiah Johnson is still prophesying falsely in fulfillment of the words of Christ that a bad tree does not bear good fruit.

We'll talk about that here in a second. So let's whirl up the desktop here and I would note this episode of Fighting for the

Bust. I'm just saying. All right, so what we're gonna do, we're going to do two things.

We're going to listen to a part of a message from Jeremiah Johnson from a month ago and a second one from two months ago.

And you're gonna see this guy, he's not a true prophet of God.

In fact, I would note we are commanded by God when it comes to testing prophecy.

First John chapter 4 verse 1 specifically states, are you ready?

Beloved, do not believe every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world.

So we have to test the spirits, which means we're gonna have to test these things according to God's Word to see whether they are from God or not.

And that being the case, you'll note the reason why we have to do this test is because what?

Many. Not some, not a few, not a scad. Many false prophets have gone out into the world and I would say there many of them are operating today and Jeremiah Johnson be one of them.

So you'll see what we're gonna do here. Here's Jeremiah Johnson from just a month ago talking about the difference between Old Testament prophets and New Testament prophets and then making a claim that is just outrageously wrong and false.

Let's listen. People, but we've got to understand the difference. One of the other main differences, and I'll move on here and we'll dive into 1

Thessalonians chapter 5, is that in the Old Testament, because of how God called prophets to operate, you had understanding of true prophets and false prophets that's no longer accurate in the

New Covenant. So apparently in the Old Covenant there were certain things that were true about prophets that are not true today.

How much do you want to bet it's about accuracy? And I would note that there's not just one test here, that there are multiple tests given in Scripture, but Deuteronomy 18 does give us a test.

Now remember, we are ordered by God in 1 John 4, do not believe every spirit, but we are to test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

We are to test, and what are we to test for? To see whether they are from God.

1 John 4 1 requires us to determine the source of a prophecy.

There's no way around it. You have to determine the source, which means that Deuteronomy 18 is still in play, but there's another text,

I'll show you that in a minute here. Deuteronomy 18 specifically says that God will raise up a prophet like Moses, and you have to listen to him, and God's gonna put his words in his mouth, and if you don't listen to him,

God's gonna hold you accountable for that, okay? But the prophet, verse 20, Deuteronomy 18, who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, everybody who gives a false prophecy is guilty of this, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.

Death penalty in the old Mosaic Covenant. If you say in your heart, well, how may we know the word that Yahweh has not spoken?

That's real clear here, okay? So note, there's a condemnation of those who presume to speak for the

Lord when the Lord hasn't spoken. How may we know the word that Yahweh has not spoken? Well, here we go.

When a prophet speaks in the name of Yahweh, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that Yahweh has not spoken.

The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. Remember, don't listen to the presumptuous ones. You need not be afraid of him, in other words, he gets to be executed, okay, according to the

Mosaic Covenant. Now, we're not advocating for that today, we're just noting historically that was the case, and that was the standard of the

Mosaic Covenant. That being the case, the standard is still true. How do we know a word that God hasn't spoken?

Well, if a prophet says something's going to come to pass and don't come to pass, that is a word that Yahweh has not spoken.

Jeremiah Johnson happens to be guilty of that, by the way. Let's take a look at the

Messed Up Church and their coverage of this from three years ago.

Here we go. And watch the re -election of Donald Trump. But the Lord told me to watch the

LA Dodgers, to watch Amy Coney Barrett, and watch the re -election of Donald Trump.

So, I'm doing it. Yeah, that's right. He predicted that Donald Trump would be re -elected in 2020, not 2024.

And so we can say that, according to the standard, that that's a word that Yahweh hasn't given to Jeremiah Johnson.

What does that make him? A false prophet. How do you figure, Chris? Well, I would note that we already took a look at the standard.

The standard is, we have to determine the source. We have to see whether the source is from God. And Jeremiah Johnson, his

Trump prophecy for the re -election in 2020, that wasn't from God. He spoke presumptuously.

And that makes him a false prophet, according to the standard of Christ. In Matthew chapter 7,

Jesus says these words, beware of false prophets who come to in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

You will recognize them by their fruits. Uh -huh. And if they give false prophecies, that's a fruit, right?

Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? I would say probably not. No, that's not how that works.

So, watch this. Every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.

A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.

This is a New Testament standard. Note that Jesus is talking in the context of false prophets, and he's saying, a healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit.

He didn't say, a healthy tree from time to time is going to bear some bad fruit.

You just got to get used to it. You know, he says a healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.

Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire, thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

Exodus chapter 20 makes it very clear that you shall not take, you shall not take or carry, here's the word tesah, means you shall not take or carry the name of Yahweh your

God in vain. And here, the the Hebrew word for vain means to falsehood or to emptiness.

In fact, the word shah here can also be referring to false prophecy, you know, and so the idea here is taking

God's name and bringing it to nothingness, okay? Making it ineffective, take up God's name in vain, of emptiness of speech, of false or empty prophecy.

So the idea then here is that when we're taking God's name in vain, because of what is being said here, anybody who gives a false prophecy is guilty of breaking this explicit command of God.

And then there's more, okay? In Jeremiah chapter 23, Jeremiah 23,

Jeremiah talks about the lying prophets. He talks about them and and the evil and the wickedness that they are up to, but note there's a command given by God in Jeremiah 23, that says

Yahweh the Lord of armies. Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, filling you with vain hopes.

They speak the visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of Yahweh. God is very clear.

If He is not the one speaking, doesn't matter if somebody claims to be a prophet, God commands you, do not listen to them.

A good tree does not bear bad fruit, right? And I would also note in this regard,

Jeremiah chapter 28, we have the account of Hananiah, a false prophet.

And this is a fellow who was contradicting Jeremiah, and Jeremiah says something to him that I think is rather interesting.

Hananiah, it says in Jeremiah 28, in that same year, at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah, the king of Judah, in the fifth month of the fourth year,

Hananiah, the son of Azur, the prophet, you have to put that in air quotes, from Gibeon spoke to me in the house of Yahweh.

He spoke to Jeremiah in the presence of the priests and all the people, saying, thus says Yahweh of armies, the

God of Israel, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon within two years. I will bring back to this place all the vessels of Yahweh's house, which

Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, took away from this place and carried to Babylon.

I will also bring back to this place Jeconiah, the son of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, and all the exiles from Judah, who went to Babylon, declares

Yahweh, for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. Here's the problem.

Jeremiah, the true prophet, God said that they were going to be in exile for 70 years, and even gave a reason why.

It had to do with the Jubilees and things like this. Hmm. That being the case, who's the true prophet?

Hananiah is saying that the exiles are returning from Babylon within two years, and that God has broken the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar, and there's poor

Jeremiah. He's prophesying with a yoke around his neck, like God commanded him, telling people that they need to submit to the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar.

So here, Hananiah is speaking contrary to the words of Jeremiah, which one of them is the true prophet?

Well, the prophet Jeremiah spoke to Hananiah, the prophet in the presence of all the priests and the people who were standing in the house of Yahweh, and the prophet

Jeremiah said, Amen! Yeah, way to go. May Yahweh do so, and may Yahweh make the words that you've prophesied come true, and bring back to this place from Babylon the vessels of the house of Yahweh and all the exiles.

Yet hear now this word that I speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people. The prophets who preceded you and me from ancient times, they prophesied war, famine, pestilence against many countries and great kingdoms.

And as for the prophet who prophesies peace, watch the words. When the word of that prophet comes to pass, then it will be known that Yahweh has truly sent the prophet.

How do we know that Yahweh has sent a prophet? Well, if their words come to pass, for sure that's one of the tests, but then you have to test them theologically as well.

So then the prophet Hananiah had a little bit of a hissy fit when he heard this word from Jeremiah.

The prophet Hananiah took the yoke bars from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and he broke them. And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people saying,

Thus says Yahweh, even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, from the neck of all the nations within two years.

But Jeremiah the prophet went his way, and sometime after the prophet Hananiah had broken the yoke bars from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah.

You go tell Hananiah, thus says Yahweh. You have broken wooden bars, but you have made in their place bars of iron.

For thus says Yahweh of armies, the God of Israel, I have put upon the neck of all these nations an iron yoke to serve

Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, and they shall serve him, for I have given to him even the beasts of the field.

And Jeremiah the prophet said to the prophet Hananiah, Listen Hananiah, Yahweh has not sent you.

He hasn't. And you have made this people trust in a lie, and that it is the truth of all false prophets.

God didn't send them, and they're causing people to trust in lies, and they are speaking presumptuously in the name of Yahweh, and God commands that you do not listen to them.

13:30

Therefore, thus says Yahweh, behold, I will remove you from the face of the earth. This year you shall die, because you have uttered rebellion against Yahweh.

And in that same year, in the seventh month, the prophet Hananiah died. Hmm. So who was the prophet that God sent?

It was Jeremiah. Hananiah was speaking presumptuously. He was speaking lies. God didn't send him.

How do we know? Well, the words of his mouth did not come to pass, and that standard is still in effect today.

Jesus says, every healthy tree bears good fruit. The diseased tree bears bad fruit.

A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit. True prophets do not give false prophecies, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.

Bad trees don't give good prophecies either. So we got a problem here, and that is that Jeremiah Johnson, he's trying to make room for his false prophecy while claiming to still be a prophet of God.

Hmm. We continue. Okay. In the Old Testament, false prophets were individuals who intentionally or they presumed to speak before God.

In other words, in the Old Testament, prophets, false prophets, would lead Israel into idolatry by telling a generation living in sin that God was at peace with them.

And so I think Jeremiah Johnson is something similar to that. I'll explain later. Prophets were 100 % accurate, if you will.

If a prophet missed a word of prophecy in the Old Covenant, people would say stone them right in the

New Covenant. When we start learning about prophets, you have several scriptures that, to me, are very clear in First Corinthians 14.

If you read on there, it says, let two or three prophets speak, and let the others pass judgment.

If... Right! Because there's a command in the New Covenant, and the command is that you are to test the spirits to see whether they are from God.

Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. That's a

New Covenant command in First Corinthians 14. Is that being put into effect?

You, you know, let two or three prophets speak, and let others weigh and judge what is said in order to test to see whether they are speaking from God.

That's the standard, and it's being applied there in First Corinthians 14. Watch what he does with this.

Prophecy in the New Covenant is infallible. Why are we judging it?

True prophecy is infallible. False prophets give fallible prophecies.

We are commanded by God in the New Covenant to determine the source. And if God, if somebody prophesies something's going to take place and it doesn't, that is a word that God hasn't spoken.

We have to judge the prophecy, judge it against God's Word, test it according to the biblical standards.

This isn't rocket surgery, Jeremiah. You're ignoring the fact that Jesus says a good tree does not bear bad fruit.

True prophets don't give false prophecies. That's Jesus's standard.

That's the New Testament. It's really not that hard. If prophecy in the

New Covenant is infallible, why are we judging it? No need. Again, we're judging it to fulfill the command of God to test to see whether it's from God.

To judge prophecy in the Old Covenant because it's accurate, it's very black and white, but in the

New Covenant we're judging and testing and weighing prophecy because we have the Holy Spirit.

You have the Holy Spirit. That's not what the biblical texts say. The clear passage says we have to test to see whether the source is

God. Spirit living inside of you, that is your guide, not a prophet. So he's twisting

God's Word here. Would a true prophet do that? Nope. This is the sign you're dealing with a bad tree.

He's bearing bad fruit right in front of us. How's this going? We are not codependent upon prophets.

We don't build our lives on prophecy. We build our lives on the Word of God.

I read my Bible and pray every day, and I never say God didn't speak to me.

If you read your Bible, God has spoken to you. So people come to prophetic meetings and they get mad, the prophet didn't give me a word.

I'm like, praise God I got the Word. Kind of speaking out of both ends of his mouth.

We have elevated prophets above the Word of God, and God is not pleased. The prophetic movement in America, for the majority, we're sick.

Right, and you're part of that, sir. You're a bad tree. You've borne some really bad fruit, and that proves you're not a good tree.

We have a disease, and the disease that we have been plagued with oftentimes is unique to the

West because we love to be worshipped. We love to be needed. We love to prop up false narratives so that you can give us more money.

We love to walk into meetings and make up stuff, like there are 77 people here, and for a seed offering of $77,

God will break the back of poverty off your life to the 77th stop. Well, I'm glad that he's warning people about that particular type of false prophet.

That doesn't make him a true prophet. In fact, he fails all the tests of a true prophet. Well, if you don't pay me, you can't get a word.

Run. Oh, I agree. So in the New Covenant, we're judging and testing and we're weighing prophecy because the

Holy Spirit is a guide. If someone... The text doesn't say that. ...misses

a prophecy, does it make them a false prophet? No. Yes.

Listen again. Listen to what he just does here. ...testing and we're weighing prophecy because the

Holy Spirit is a guide. If someone misses a prophecy, does it make them a false prophet?

No. Does it mean they prophesied falsely? Yes. Nope, not according to Jesus.

Doesn't he understand the importance of sleep? ...gave me a prophetic word to release over us this morning before we begin our time.

So I'm sort of oats. Did he? Did he now? Okay. Mm -hmm. A healthy tree doesn't bear bad fruit, sir.

Yeah, we've already determined you're an unhealthy, a diseased tree. Can't wait to hear the prophecy.

I'm sure it's gonna be a hoot. I still handwrite all my sermons and things like that. I gave them a handwritten prophetic word last night in their office, but I want to read this word over us.

I feel very strongly that there is a fight over the womb in this room.

The what over the what? A fight over the womb of the room? Rooms have wombs?

That sounds like more diseased fruit to me. And I'm hearing very strongly that some of you need to fire your delivery team.

God wants to come forth. They're actually assigned to assassinate it. This is a delivery team talking about giving birth to something?

Yeah, this isn't from God. Our wrestle is not against flesh and blood.

Our wrestle is against principalities and powers that are working through your mother -in -law.

Could be working through a spouse. Could be working through, I understand the difficulty of spiritual warfare.

But there's something about this conference where the Lord has gathered you as his daughters to give birth to your next season.

Uh -huh. Like Jesus said, every healthy tree bears good fruit.

The diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.

Is this good fruit or bad fruit? Is this the voice of God that we're hearing? Not at all.

This is just nonsense. Complete gobbledygook and absurd at that.

Listen, I mean, grab a prophecy bingo card. I mean, here we go. There's something about this conference where the

Lord has gathered you as his daughters to give birth to your next season.

I have to birth the season? Oh wow, that's awkward.

Do you have midwives for that? In order to give birth to our next season, we have to get disconnected from every demonic lie, every demonic strategy that Satan set up against you.

Well, you are part of a satanic strategy. You're a false prophet preaching nonsense, false words.

God didn't send you, sir. And you're causing these people to trust in lies, just like this last season must be rebuked, must be exposed, must be overthrown in the name of Jesus.

So Father, I just thank you for this birthing room today. I thank you for this church, which is a womb to the region, by the way.

In this house, we'll give birth to the purposes of God in this generation.

And we rebuke every demonic attack against this house in Jesus' name.

While a false prophet is speaking, a demonic attack is occurring as this was being recorded.

This is a satanic strategy being put in motion. And in motion, we're just watching the historical documentation of it.

Every spirit of witchcraft, everything rooted in rebellion, we command you to leave this property in Jesus' name.

All right, here's the prophetic word. He got this at three in the morning the previous night. Jump into Revelation chapter 12.

The Lord would say the valley of the shadow of death, attacks, betrayal, and witchcraft that many of you just went through was not punishment but merely preparation.

For God would remind you today that beyond every valley is a mountain and past every storm is a victory.

For know this day that I have prepared a table before you in the presence of your enemy.

You're twisting Psalm 23, sir. This isn't the voice of God.

Lord, will follow you all the days of your life. For even now I am delivering you from every evil spirit of intimidation and fear.

You have a biblical text that says that? Bullying spirit that has been sent... There's demonic spirits that are bullying?

Do you have a text that says that? To shut you down, I rebuke it in the name of Jesus. This weekend is a weekend where we will put the enemy to...

Yet in like manner, these also relying on their dreams, they defile the flesh, they reject authority, they blaspheme the glorious ones.

But when the archangel Michael contending with the devil was disputing about the body of Moses, he didn't presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but he said, the

Lord rebuke you. But these people, these false prophets, these false teachers, they blaspheme all that they do not understand.

They are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. Yeah, that seems like a description of what we're watching.

We will evict that evil squatting spirit that desires to set up camp in your midst.

Uh -oh, demonic squatters. Good grief. That sounds terrible. He's causing people to trust in lies.

God didn't send him. This is not a word from the Lord. Your house, in your marriage. Again, I say there is an evil squatting spirit that desires to set up camp in your marriage, in your family, and in your life.

Oh no, I need to get the squatty spirit out. Uh -huh, whatever.

But the only camp meeting that I desire you to host, my daughters, is a holy ghost camp meeting.

No longer will you be trapped by lies. No longer will you be paralyzed by fear.

Yet, they're hearing pure lies. God didn't give this word. This is not a prophecy from God.

Irony. Indicated by nightmares and anxiety, for this day and this weekend,

I am establishing you, says the Lord. I am releasing you into a new season today.

Huh, that's weird. You're just giving this one -size -fits -all prophecy, and you don't even know if some of the women who are listening to you, or the people listening to you, are believers.

Whether they are engaging in sin impenitently, you don't know if they despise

God's Word. You're telling them everything's gonna be well with them, when you don't know if some of them are despising the

Word of the Lord. Hmm, sounds exactly like the false prophets of Jeremiah's day.

Behold, the former season of demonic warfare and heaviness, where you were trapped in the enemy's camp, is over.

I proclaim over you today, my daughters, a holy jailbreak.

This is so absurd. Yeah, Jesus was right.

A bad tree, a healthy tree, does not bear good fruit. A diseased tree doesn't bear good fruit.

A healthy tree doesn't bear bad fruit. Well, this is just, this is like a bunch of bad fruit just popping up all over this so -called prophecy.

God sets free is free indeed. For the Lord would say, I am dealing with the spirit of jealousy that has been attaching itself to you.

The fight has never been about your ministry. The fight has been about your territory.

This is a season of advancement, acceleration, and defeating the giant

Bingo in the land. I will expose those false friendships, those supposed alliances that are not intended to help you, but monitor you.

Sir, this is bad fruit. You're causing them to trust in lies. You can say amen for you.

I'd be happy if I came to this conference. For you will have the victory in this season, but you must sing and pray your way through it.

I thought Christ has the victory. Never mind. But you must walk in humility and forgiveness.

Let's give Jesus a big round of applause for his word. Those weren't words from Jesus.

God didn't send you. Those are not his words. You're causing people to trust in lies, sir.

You are a false prophet, and a healthy tree doesn't bear bad fruit. You're just bearing bad fruit all over the place, and a diseased tree doesn't bear good fruit.

This is terrible fruit just being born all up in here. Revelation chapter 12, and a great sign appeared in heaven.

All right, Revelation chapter 12. Is he gonna exegete this text? Nope. This is more proof that he's a false prophet.

All right, are you gonna exegete this text and help us to understand the imagery of this particular apocalyptic prophecy from the

So you took Revelation chapter 12, and the woman giving birth, and the dragon wanting to destroy the child, which is a reference to Christ's birth.

Old Testament believers, right? The same imagery of the moon and the stars and things like this, the sun, the moon, and the stars, that was in one of Joseph's dreams, right?
