This is a ministry of striving for eternity. As we think about Thanksgiving, there's many things we can be thankful for.

But what I'd like to focus on today is revelation. When we think about revelation, we think of two areas of revelation.

One is called natural revelation, and the other is special or supernatural revelation.

Think about natural revelation. We can see this in Psalm 19 and elsewhere, where we see that revelation can be seen in nature itself.

Romans 1 would be an example that creation itself tells us something about God. It shows us that God exists.

It shows us something of His power and attributes. But it doesn't give us enough information to know

Him. Though we can know some things, we don't know enough. That is where special or supernatural revelation comes in.

And this is something we should be very thankful for. This is where God has revealed

Himself to His creation. He's told us about Himself. He's given us a way to have insight into who

He is. We wouldn't know enough about who He is unless He tells us. And that is what

His word, we call it the Bible or the Scriptures, is. It is God's self -revelation to His creation, so that we might know something about the

Creator who created us, but even more so, that we'd know about the Savior who saved us.

We can know salvation by natural revelation, but only by special revelation.
