United States we are preparing to celebrate the 4th of July, Independence Day, and I don't normally put out episodes of Fighting for the

Faith in honor of the 4th of July. That's not my intent here today. I just saw something that I thought would be great to release on or around the 4th of July because of just how ridiculous and absurd it is.

In fact, let's just whirl up the desktop here. I thought this was a good 4th of July picture.

I've seen in a long time. I've had the privilege of preaching the gospel in other nations other than the

United States, and I legitimately do not understand any of this because Christianity is not

Americanism. I can just tell you that, and that what Ken Copeland is about to do here is just ridiculous.

But the name of the video is America's Covenant Revealed. America is not in a covenant with God.

In fact, the covenant of note that we are all to be a part of is the

New Covenant, the covenant where God promises to no longer remember our sins for the sake of Jesus Christ.

But I am getting ahead of myself, but let's watch just a little bit of this because this is one of the most absurd things

I've seen in a while. You know, he's putting that on, and there are two people that I can think about, immediately think about.

He's up against a wall, and it's his wrecking ball stunt. And so at just the right time after they put the blindfold on Super Dave, there he is, standing, sitting in this director's chair up against the wall.

Anyway, nothing you say about the Bible is even true. Look on with someone else. Before I get into this, I want to read you this.

I had a vision. In this vision, I was above the clouds, looking across the expanse of the sky as when flying in an airplane.

The sky was filled with bells that were ringing. There were myriads of them. Many of them look like the

Liberty Bell, which has an inscription on it from the book of Leviticus. I saw

Jesus walking in the middle of these bells. Then the Lord spoke to me and said, this is not an actual prophecy of Christ.

You know, this is the only nation ever founded because people love me in the history of the world.

What? You are aware that a large number, significant percentage of the founding fathers of the

United States were deists or Freemasons, right? I founded

Israel because I loved people and made them a great nation to bring forth the Messiah, the savior of the world.

But the United States of America was founded because people love me and sought to create a nation where they could have freedom to worship me.

I will never forget that. And he said this, his voice broke up with emotion and you could hear what he was holding back the tears.

Then he said, I'm going to move in a great spiritual awakening to call this nation back to myself.

Uh huh. Yeah. Call you done.

Yeah. Nothing that comes out of this man's mouth is true. Why anyone takes him seriously is beyond me, but I'll fast forward to the relevant portion where he reveals the covenant.

Now you remember both Moses and Peter, the apostle said, a day with God is as a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day.

The day was April the 30th, 1789. This was a day of making covenant with almighty

God for the United States of America. A proclamation that was made for the sacred gathering at federal hall, come and see your president, take his oath and pray that God will accept this land as his 234 years.

That's 15 minutes ago to God. He's waiting for somebody to use this. What are you talking about?

America's covenant with God. I am a citizen of the kingdom of Jesus Christ, which transcends every nation on planet earth.

And you'll note that when Jesus returns in glory to judge the living and the dead, every nation, every country is going to be brought to a cataclysmic conclusion.

And the only thing that will look that will exist will be the kingdom of Christ. What are you talking about, man?

Holy smokes. This isn't in the Bible anywhere. And I would note, yeah,

I'm not going to make this a long episode because you know, we're fourth of July celebrations and stuff like that.

But listen to the prophecy regarding the covenant that does matter. And that is actually real.

I don't think the United States is in covenant with God at all. Have you seen the state of affairs politically in the

United States? Right? And even at its founding, it was never a

Christian nation. All right. Jeremiah 31, behold, the days are coming, declares

Yahweh, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and of the house of Judah. You say, well, how does that impact me?

Answer, everybody who is a penitent believer in Jesus Christ is a child of Abraham. Read Romans 8, 9, and 10 and read the book of Galatians.

You'll see what I'm saying. We're all grafted into Israel. Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when

I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares

Yahweh. That's the Mosaic covenant. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares

Yahweh. I will put my law within them. I'll write it on their hearts and I will be their God and they shall be my people.

And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother saying, no Yahweh, for they shall all know me from the least of them to the greatest, declares

Yahweh, for I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more.

This is the covenant that matters. And this is the covenant, the only covenant that should be preached from a church claiming to be run by Christ or under the headship of Jesus Christ, because King Jesus has laid down his life for you and I so that we can all have our sins forgiven and receive the promise of the new covenant.

The promise of the new covenant is that God will remember your sin no more. And so rather than putting on a clown suit and invoking

Super Dave Osborne and all of his shenanigans, Ken Copeland needs to be ignored.

None of this is appropriate to be preached from a Christian pope because it's not biblical. The United States isn't in a covenant with God.

And the only people who are truly in covenant with God are those who are penitent believers in Jesus Christ, believers that Jesus has bled and died for their sins.

And they are trusting in this promise that God will remember their sin no more.

And that's a good promise because in Christ, we don't have to fear God on the day of judgment.

Colossians chapter two puts it this way. He says, Paul writes, he says,

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit. And I would note that many of the founders of the

United States were deists. Most notable among them was Thomas Jefferson. If I were to do a

Google search for the Thomas Jefferson Bible, okay, if you're not familiar with this thing, let me just show it to you.

If you would just look up images for the Thomas Jefferson Bible, you'll note that the

And by holy, I mean, not that it's holy. I mean, it's full of holes. And the reason why is because Thomas Jefferson took an exacto knife to his

Bible and anywhere a miracle occurred in scripture, he cut it out, especially in the

New Testament. He doesn't believe that Jesus walked on water. He doesn't believe that Jesus was born of the

Virgin Mary. He didn't believe that Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, or that Jesus rose bodily from the grave on the third day.

In fact, Jefferson got rid of all of the miracles of the New Testament. But the

Apostle Paul is clear. The Apostle Paul is quite clear that if Christ hasn't been raised from the dead, then our faith is futile and we're still in our sins.

Right? But here, again, the primary promise of the new covenant is that God will forgive our iniquity and remember our sin no more.

Paul states it beautifully in Colossians 2, when he says, see to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

For in him, in Christ, the whole fullness of the deity dwells bodily. And you have been filled in him who is the head and rule of all authority.

In him also, you were circumcised with the circumcision made without hands by putting off the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.

And you who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God has made you alive together with Christ, having forgiven us of all of our trespasses.

If you are in Christ, not some of your sins, but all of them, every one of your transgressions have been forgiven and pardoned by Christ because of his death on the cross for your sins.

And notice how he does this. You know, you made alive together with him, having forgiven us all of our trespasses.

How? By canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. A good way to think of this text is that on the day of judgment, the books are opened and that might make you create anxiety.

Just a thought of the books being open because we all know what's in our books. But the record of debt in the books of every

Christian has been torn out. Okay. He canceled the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands.

And this Christ has set aside, nailing it to the cross. And so the reason why we can say with confidence that the new covenant, the one that really matters is so amazing is because God says,

I will remember their sin no more. And the reason why he remembers it no more is because the entire record of debt that stands against every sinner who trusts in Christ has been torn out of their book, has been canceled and nailed to the cross.

Christians who are in Christ are in covenant with God. And the promise is that God will remember their sins no more.
