Do we understand Christianity?

The question comes to my mind, and my heart really, do we even really understand

Christianity in America? Budgets, buildings, bottoms in the seats, grand productions, flamboyant speakers, parties, law and gospel replaced with laissez -faire and godlessness,

Easter productions, what are we going to do during Easter to celebrate the resurrection of Christ?

I know, we'll pay lots of money, we'll get a helicopter to fly over, and we'll throw Easter eggs out of it.

Walking into some of these churches today, or maybe I should say so -called churches, is worse than Christian walking into Vanity Fair.

Debauchery, idolatry, triviality, absurdity, you've got to see tonight that we need to understand

Christianity as it is given to us in this book. Is there anything in America anymore that looks like our text?

Therefore, do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me as prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God.
