- 00:00
- A gruesome story leads off our newscast. Milwaukee police found body parts in a
- 00:05
- Northside apartment and now they wonder if they've uncovered some kind of death factory. I've come to, since come to believe that the
- 00:12
- Lord Jesus Christ is the true creator and I have accepted him as my
- 00:18
- Lord and Savior. Jeffrey Dahmer. This man committed some of the most evil crimes anyone could ever imagine.
- 00:30
- Crimes rivaling even Adolf Hitler's atrocities and their gruesomeness.
- 00:35
- But before Dahmer died, he professed faith in Jesus Christ, which leads us to the question, could a man as evil as Jeffrey Dahmer really be in heaven today?
- 00:46
- The answer will shock you. The year is 1991. The location is
- 00:52
- Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A terrified, undressed and handcuffed man is running down the street.
- 00:59
- He has just escaped from a man who is trying to kill him. The man leads the police to discover the apartment of Jeffrey Dahmer.
- 01:07
- One of the scenes of the greatest acts of evil ever committed. Police found parts of bodies leading them to believe the man they arrested is a mass murderer.
- 01:17
- From our investigation, we feel that this individual strongly is involved in other homicides.
- 01:22
- It was eventually discovered that Dahmer drugged, sexually assaulted and murdered numerous boys and young men.
- 01:30
- And then they dismembered and preserved their bodies, using them to perform atrocities such as necrophilia and cannibalism.
- 01:38
- Police found 11 skulls scattered in a file cabinet, a closet, a refrigerator, and a freezer, and three headless torsos in a vat in the man's bedroom.
- 01:48
- There were three heads in the refrigerator, alongside evidence that Dahmer had eaten parts of his victims.
- 01:54
- When police started emptying the apartment, they took out boxes filled with body parts. Dahmer was sentenced to multiple life sentences in prison, which was unsurprising considering the seriousness and evil of Dahmer's crimes.
- 02:09
- However, while in prison, several events led to a change in Dahmer, who eventually professed faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized.
- 02:18
- And I've come to, since come to believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the true creator of the heavens and the earth.
- 02:27
- It just didn't just happen. And I have accepted him as my Lord and Savior.
- 02:33
- And I believe that I, as well as everyone else, will be accountable to him.
- 02:38
- And I've since come to believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is truly
- 02:44
- God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They're the only true God.
- 02:50
- Now, some might argue that Dahmer's conversion was not genuine, but in addition to his profession of faith,
- 02:56
- Dahmer began exhibiting significant changes in his life. In his final statement,
- 03:02
- Dahmer said this. Now I believe I was sick. The doctors have told me about my sickness, and now
- 03:09
- I have some peace. I know how much harm I have caused. I tried to do the best
- 03:15
- I could after the arrest to make amends, but no matter what I did, I could not undo the terrible harm
- 03:21
- I have caused. My attempt to help identify the remains was the best that I could do, and that was hardly anything.
- 03:31
- I feel so bad for what I did to those poor families, and I understand their rightful hate.
- 03:38
- I know I will be in prison for the rest of my life. I know that I will have to turn to God to help me get through each day.
- 03:47
- I should have stayed with God. I tried and failed and created a holocaust. Thank God there will be no more harm that I can do.
- 03:56
- I believe that only the Lord Jesus Christ can save me from my sins. Dahmer was baptized by a minister named
- 04:02
- Roy Radcliffe, and after his baptism, Dahmer continued to meet with Radcliffe once a week to continue learning more about the
- 04:10
- Bible and Jesus Christ. Dahmer constantly mentioned his faith in Christ during media interviews, and pretty much every media outlet except the one we played earlier censored out this part of the interviews.
- 04:24
- After an unsuccessful attempt by another prisoner to kill Dahmer, Dahmer responded by saying he wants to continue living to continue sharing the gospel with the other prisoners around him.
- 04:36
- However, seven months after he was baptized, another prisoner successfully murdered
- 04:41
- Dahmer. Now the question running through all our minds is, is it possible for a man as evil as Jeffrey Dahmer to be forgiven and to thus enjoy eternal joy in heaven?
- 04:54
- Or did Dahmer commit sins so heinous that he simply could not adequately atone for these sins or be forgiven no matter what he did?
- 05:03
- To answer these questions, we need to understand what the Bible teaches about the unforgivable sin, which is mentioned in Mark chapter 3.
- 05:12
- First, we should recognize that there is an unforgivable sin. Now it might strike you as strange that there would be a sin that would not be forgivable.
- 05:26
- Don't we say that God offers forgiveness to sinners? Doesn't the gospel promise that the
- 05:32
- Lord will forgive all our sins? And in regards to the unforgivable sin, there are two categories of people we need to recognize.
- 05:41
- First, there are people who have committed the unforgivable sin and have not realized it. On the one hand, there are people who have no idea that they have committed the unforgivable sin.
- 05:51
- They have no idea that they have committed the unforgivable sin. They're comfortable, and they ought to be frightened because they're headed for eternal hell.
- 06:00
- And second, there are people who think they have committed the unforgivable sin when in fact, they have not.
- 06:07
- There are other people who think they've committed the unforgivable sin and haven't and need to be comforted.
- 06:16
- So, which category does Jeffrey Dahmer belong to? Did Dahmer commit sin so heinous that it could not be forgiven by God despite his supposed repentance and faith?
- 06:28
- Or did Dahmer's sin not fall into the category of the unforgivable sin? Now, here's what the unforgivable sin is.
- 06:38
- But the one that won't be forgiven is the one called the apostate who gets full exposure to the truth, full exposure to the gospel, full revelation, and makes the final conclusion, it's not true,
- 06:53
- I reject Christ. It's a deception. If that's where you end up after full exposure, that's what's called apostasy.
- 07:04
- That's unforgivable. Does this sound like a description of Dahmer's sin? Not at all.
- 07:11
- Dahmer may have committed atrocious sin. But after being confronted with the seriousness of his sin,
- 07:18
- Dahmer expressed repentance, acknowledged the depth of his sin, and put his faith in Jesus Christ for his salvation.
- 07:25
- And even more, it seems Dahmer began to live in a manner consistent with his professed faith.
- 07:31
- Now, we may not have all the details we need to make a final judgment concerning Dahmer's faith and repentance.
- 07:38
- But from what I've seen so far, it seems that Dahmer's understanding in response to Christianity sounds far more
- 07:45
- Christian than those who self -righteously declared Dahmer to be beyond hope, while thinking that they themselves deserve salvation and heaven.
- 07:55
- Maybe it's these people who need to evaluate where they stand before God.
- 08:01
- But Christ dies, and the veil of the temple is torn in two.
- 08:07
- And now all of a sudden in Christ, you who used to have to sit way back there, have been brought near by the blood of Jesus.
