Hello ladies and gentlemen, my name is Justin Peters. I hope that you and your family are doing well today
I want to thank you very much for watching this video and want to extend to you a very warm Wish of a happy Thanksgiving to you and yours and I thought
I would take just a moment or two to share with you that for which I am most thankful today and I am most thankful today for nothing for absolutely nothing
Let me explain Turn with me if you will or look with me if you will to Psalm chapter 103
Psalm chapter 103 verses 9 10 and 11 He will not always strive with us nor will he keep his anger forever
He has not dealt with us according to our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities
For as high as the heavens are above the earth so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him
The verse that I most want to bring your attention to is verse 10. Notice carefully what it says
He has not dealt with us according to our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities
I Am most grateful today that God has not dealt with me
According to my sin that he has not rewarded me according to my iniquity
Because if God dealt with me according to my sin if he rewarded me according to my iniquity
Then I would receive nothing but his wrath You see the wages of sin the reward of sin is death eternal death because we have sinned against the eternal
God The punishment of that sin is also eternal and if we die in our sins
We were very rightly and very justly go to a very real place that the Bible calls hell Where the worm will not die the fire will not be quenched they'll be wailing and weeping and gnashing of teeth and That is what
I deserve. That is what you deserve There's a lot of people today clamoring for justice
Oh, we need justice and social justice. And I I want what I Deserve I want what
I am owed. I want justice Dear ones. Let me tell you something You don't want justice.
Trust me. You don't want justice because if you got justice Then you would get hell
My friend and a pastor up in northern Idaho Jim Osmond, you've heard me mention him probably if you've watched me for very long
Jim Osmond and I were having lunch one day a few years ago together And he said that if God were to strike from me everything that I have
Take away my wife take away my family Take away all my possessions everything
I own stripped from me everything that I have and leave me to die a cold slow
Painful death alone in a ditch and then send me straight to hell.
He would have done me no wrong And you know what? He's right Because that's what
Jim deserves. That's what his sins have earned him That's what
I deserve. That's what my sins have earned me. That's what you deserve That's what your sins have earned you
The wages of sin is death and I am profoundly grateful that God has not dealt with me according to my sin
That he has not rewarded me According to my iniquities you see the bow of God's wrath
Was pulled back to full draw and it was pointed squarely at me
But instead of releasing the bow of his wrath at me
He diverted that bow and he pointed it at someone else
He pointed it at his son Jesus Christ God sent his son
Jesus Christ to this earth in Jesus the God -man lived a perfect life and Then Jesus willingly laid down his life on the cross this perfect person gave his
Perfect life as a perfect sacrifice to perfectly satisfy the perfect wrath of God You see
God released the bow of his wrath and the arrows of his fury that Burn against my sin and your sin
He pointed at Jesus Christ and the arrows of his fury sunk deep into Christ on the cross
Jesus satisfied God's wrath has the bow of God's wrath been diverted from you
The only way to know that is to repent of sin Turn from sin and place your trust in what
Jesus Christ did on the cross Your works will not save you. Your works are as filthy rags.
They will not earn you a place in heaven You must turn from sin repent of sin and place your trust in Jesus if you have done that then you too can be thankful for nothing
You can join me in being thankful for nothing that God has not dealt with us
According to our sin and he will not reward us according to our iniquity Because someone else has paid that price for us
So dear ones be thankful today be thankful for Nothing, and if you're watching this and maybe you're not certain of where you are in your relationship with Christ You're not certain that the bow of God's wrath is not still pointing at you right now
Then turn from sin repent of your sin Place your trust in Jesus Christ what he did on the cross lay your works down Your works are as filthy rags.
They will profit you nothing in the day of judgment place your trust in Christ and the wrath of God that we deserve will be removed of the bow of God's wrath will be diverted away from you and you too can be thankful for nothing
I Hope that this has been helpful for you dear ones encouraging to you until our next time together
