Repentance, Obedience, and the Cross-Centered Gospel

To say to you is this. It's all wrong. What the gospel requires is repentance in faith. What the gospel produces in us is obedience to all God's Commands. Christian theism says I'm the crowning glory of the creation of God.

Christian theism says he knit me together in my mother's womb. Christian theism says I am no accident. I am no result of random processes. Christian theism says whether I am tall and beautiful or whether I am small and not so handsome.

Whether my body functions perfectly or I am deformed. Severely I am the crowning glory of the creation of God and as a result I have inherent dignity and inherent worth and inherent value. Christian theism cannot comprehend ideas like racism and classism and eugenics.

Christian theism looks at the black man and the not-so-black man. You categorize the world how you want to. I categorize the world how I want to. But it's okay that you're not black like me. God loves you.

Just like you are. Or those who believe that your chromosomes Determine your sex. Amen somebody are you so common and uneducated that you don't recognize that if you want to know. Whether a five-year-old is a boy or a girl.

You don't check the plumbing you ask a question and if what they say contradicts the plumbing. You believe them and not your lying eyes. Desensitizing, what does that look like? To desensitize straights to gays and gayness inundate them in a continuous flood of gay related advertising.

Presented in the least offensive fashion possible if straights can't shut off the shower. They may at least eventually get used to being wet. Desensitizing tell the truth you see a gay character on a show you don't even get offended anymore.

It's just there. We're just so used to it. God calls this an abomination and we instead call it righteous. It's the only sin by the way for which God destroyed Cities with fire and brimstone. It's unique.

It's unique. It's not like other sins. It's unique. Not all sins are called abominations. Homosexuality is unique in that regard very few sins in that category. Oh my gosh. I love this song. The cross says you're not awesome.

You're not awesome all of sin and falls short of the glory of God, you're not awesome. You've sinned in thought word and deed. You're not awesome. God is holy and he is just and you have not lived up to the standard that he requires.

You're not awesome. God is awesome. You're not. This is why the cross is Offensive, but we preach a cross centered gospel. We preach a gospel that says You have a problem and it's not a small problem.

It's a huge one. You have a problem. The problem is you thought and said and did things on yesterday for which God would have been absolutely and completely. Just to kill you in your sleep last night.

But he didn't. It's why we preach a grace centered gospel. Huh? Not then out that that's good news, right? God doesn't need you. You're not awesome. Hey, mr. Grumpy kills.

When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do. I don't want to know what you gotta do. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Swimming swimming.

God Sees, Remembers, and Hears

God seizes people God hears. God remembers his covenant and God sees. God sees. It's answers our burning question because in the midst of our hopelessness. In the midst of our hopelessness when we forget God our only hope and begin to look other places.

Many times it's because we forget this reality this reality that God Sees. And there are some of us who don't want to believe this. There's some of us who are not comforted by this. In fact, there are some of us who have gone through things that were so hopeless and so painful.

That the only way we think that we can deal with that and the reality of God is to somehow Shield God from the responsibility of having seen that and not having done something to stop it. That you are a sinner in need of a Savior and that God has provided a Savior through the person and work of Jesus Christ and that you must abandon all reliance on yourself and what you can do and flee to Christ and Put your trust in who he is and what he has done.

Tell you why I choose to believe the Bible. Because I don't believe the Bible because I was raised that way because I wasn't I Don't choose to believe the Bible because I tried it and it worked for me.

My mother's Buddhism worked for her. That's why she was a Buddhist. I need something more than just because it works. Here's the answer. I'll give it to you and I'll unpack it for you. I choose to believe the Bible because it's a reliable collection of historical documents written down by Eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses.

They report to us supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific Prophecies and claim that their writings are divine rather than human in origin.

There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own. But I know better. Our fate lives within us.

You only have to be brave enough to see it. This is God who is sovereign over Who is telling Moses? Exactly what is about to happen because it's going to happen in accordance with the decree of the sovereign God of the universe.

Again, this is something that we do not like. We don't like this because we don't understand this. We don't like it because we cannot wrap our minds around the idea of God's decree. We don't like it because we like the idea that we are actually in control and it's amazing.

How we act about that? Because we live our lives every day as though we are in total control of everything that happens until something goes wrong. And then we blame God For not having done what we think he ought to have done in the situation because we want it both ways.

I Want to hold God accountable for all of those things around me that don't go the way I want them to go. I want it both ways in other words. I don't want God to be completely sovereign. I Want God to be sovereign to the extent that he causes things to happen in Accordance with my view of the way they ought to go.

If you can't say man, you ought to say ouch.

Human Sinfulness and the Sovereignty of God

Do not be fooled by his commonplace appearance like so many things. It is not what is outside.

But what is inside that counts our sins come from our sin nature. It's who we are. It's what we want. It's what we desire. So don't think of it as though we we come into this world and we're innocent and we're really looking for a way to find God and a way to please God, but all of a sudden this world says no don't do that.

And the devil says no don't do that. Actually. No, that's not radical enough. That's not sinful enough. That's not who you were. Here's who you were before you came to Christ. You came with fleshly desires That were against God you came with desires of your body and your mind that were alienated to God.

You came with desires that were evil and the devil and the world did not have to seek you out. You rested in them because they gave you exactly what you wanted. The devil knows your name and you know his voice.

You were convinced that he loved you as much as you loved him. The world was a comfortable place to you. It was all that you wanted and that is because your very nature Craved it.

In a circle in a hoop that never ends.

There is a God who created the world. Amen, the world is not eternal. The world came into existence. And it did not come into existence because it chose to it wasn't here to choose to it. Did not come into existence by accident.

Accidents don't happen when God is the only thing in eternity past. The world came into existence because there is a God and he Determined that he would create the world and everything in it. This tells us something about God.

This tells us that God for example is eternal and that God Existed before the world and before time. It also tells us that because God Exists outside of the world and outside of time that God is not bound by time.

You realize that time is a Construct that we have and are limited by because we live within the world that God created. But apart from this world that God created there is no time. God is not bound by time.

God lives in eternity where there is no time and there never was time until he Decided that time would exist. God is Eternal. God is omnipotent. He has all power.

This is why I never married this and one other piece. I think that the implication would be that he is. Yeah, I think. Maybe more will be revealed later on but I think that would be probably.

Speaking Truth About Homosexuality

So don't let anybody tell you that it's not loving if you stand flat-footed and speak the truth about this issue of Homosexuality. What's not loving is to look someone in the eye when God says they are in jeopardy of an eternity in hell and Nearly wink and nod at their sin because you're afraid of being called names.
