Jesus die? Well, he died on the cross for our sins. That's right. Now here's another question. Who killed

Jesus? Well, I don't know. Well, some say the Romans and others say the Jews, but Isaiah 53 .10

says it was the will of the Lord to crush him. In Acts 2 .23 it says that Jesus was delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God.

And in Romans 3 .25 it says that God put Jesus forward as a sacrifice. So, who would you say killed

Jesus? God did? That's right. It was God who killed Jesus. But why did God do that?

Because he loves us. In pagan religions, people thought they had to do something for their made -up gods to appease their wrath.

For example, the people thought they had to sacrifice to the false god Baal or he wouldn't send rain. But the true

God became a man, lived a perfect life, died in the place of his people whose sins were placed on him, and he was crushed by the justice of God that we deserved.

Our God appeased himself. 1 John 4 .10 says, In this is love, not that we have loved

God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Propitiation is a big word, but it basically means that Jesus satisfied the wrath of God. What do you think about that?
