In the history of the world, God has so directed it that Messiah is the person who's going to bring all salvation.

And so all of human history, all of the Old Testament is directed toward Messiah and what he's going to do. And therefore, it's as if Old Testament history is going to be repeated by Messiah. You know, things like this.

Just as they raised up the serpent in the wilderness, so they will lift up the Son of Man.
