Encouraging Stories, More on Romans 13, New CV19 Studies

Not sure it was fair I had to compete with the President’s speech (which a friend described as a sleepy grandpa trying to talk at 2am), but we covered some neat upcoming events (mainly on the trip to and from G3), talked about some fundamental and foundational issues relating to Romans 13, and finished up looking at a flurry of new studies and papers related to the ongoing politicization of the Covid 19 story. 00:39
Well, once again, I looked at something on Twitter right as the program was starting, and I have to chuckle.
00:46
Sam Harris, one of the horsemen of the new atheism or apocalypse, or I don't know what it is, anyway, on January 20th had tweeted, feeling overwhelming gratitude for the adults in the room.
01:03
This is at the election. And 12 minutes ago, he tweeted, publicly eating these words, syllable by syllable.
01:21
Yeah, yeah, well, hey, let's just be honest. You may be like me in that.
01:32
Seeing your nation humiliated. Dependent upon Taliban fighters for security.
01:42
Sharing not only arming the Taliban to the teeth because we created a fold up Afghan army.
01:52
But sharing Intel with the Taliban. And in fact, we've given the
01:59
Taliban a list of not only all of the Americans still there, but the people who worked with us.
02:05
I mean, that's a kill list. That's a kill list. The people in charge right now are infantile morons.
02:13
Or, or. It is all the purposeful desire to fundamentally remove
02:22
America from the world stage. Turn us into Britain. Remember, remember the
02:28
British going into World War Two? The British Empire, her Navy ruling the waves.
02:35
And how did she come out of World War Two? Second class power on the decline, which has continued.
02:45
And Britain doesn't have near the influence on the world stage that it did 67 years ago.
02:53
That's where we're headed. And properly so. I'm sorry. We're coming up on the anniversary of 9 -11, remember?
03:02
Well, that's going to be a really stinking day, isn't it? Because the people who did it and the nation that was behind it just kicked our tushes right out of the country because of a regime that is intending to bring that about.
03:29
That's that's their intention. We've been taken over by an enemy power and it came up from within and the system was susceptible to it.
03:37
And there you go. And those of you who voted for that group, congratulations. You've done well.
03:46
But on, I think it was 9 -13. I'm sure we have the archive someplace.
03:52
I'll bet you it's on Sermon Audio someplace. And my recollection was it was September 13th that I did a program.
04:03
I did a dividing line program. And the main line
04:09
I remember from that program was, how can we say anything other than God bless
04:15
America with soul shattering repentance? That's the only thing that you can say,
04:20
God bless America. Because everyone's starting to wave the flag and sing country songs and stuff like that.
04:27
And for a few weeks, there was real unity and rah -rah and patriotism.
04:34
And I even said back then, I said, I don't see any fundamental change.
04:42
We were woken up by it, to be sure. But it didn't.
04:51
No one was willing to say this happened because.
05:00
Even evangelicals have become so secular in their thought that the role that the prophets had in saying to Israel, You are being punished.
05:18
You are experiencing this drought. You're experiencing this invasion. You're experiencing this plague because of your sin.
05:28
You have done this and this and this and this. And you've broken this covenant and that covenant. And you're oppressing the poor and running down the line.
05:37
And most evangelicals just are not willing to even begin to say that anymore. And to be honest with you, if we say it on social media, we are risking disappearing.
05:47
Just poof, you're gone. If you dare say that the government of the
05:56
United States of America has been spending your tax dollars. If there is such a thing anymore.
06:03
Is there such a thing as tax dollars anymore when we're never going to pay this debt off? You just run the printing presses until the gears fall out.
06:14
Is that? I don't know. But the United States, around the world and in places like Afghanistan, Since Obama has been pushing a social justice, leftist, neo -Marxist, secular worldview.
06:38
Flying the homosexual flag from the flagpoles.
06:47
And trying to push people in other nations, including Afghanistan.
06:53
To adopt this transgender, homosexual, gay marriage, debacle, fiasco.
07:03
And they know better. They know better. But we were using our power to promote perversity in these nations.
07:15
Is there really any foundation for going, Huh, I wonder why
07:22
God would so humiliate a people as this. Maybe because we're promoting sin in the land.
07:30
Maybe because we are taking the blessings that God has given to us. And using those blessings to promote hatred for him.
07:41
Maybe. Oh, but you're not allowed to say that. Not if you want to be taken seriously.
07:47
It's like, I saw somebody yesterday. You know, the guy that invented the mRNA vaccine technology.
07:58
Has been saying, we're doing this all wrong. We're screwing this up. We're not even close here.
08:06
And I actually put a quote out from him where he said, The first rule, once you're stuck in the ditch, is to stop digging.
08:17
And we're just doubling down on digging. So just give more shots. He recognizes that bad stuff is happening.
08:27
And that we've gone the wrong direction. But somebody else,
08:32
I think as a result of that, posted a link to a video of the guy on Rumble. And the response to somebody was, well, it's on Rumble.
08:42
Yeah, did you see that? So, oh, so if it's on YouTube now, it's approved by Big Brother.
08:49
And if it's anyplace else, then it's not approved. And therefore, you don't even have to deal with what the guy is saying. There is a deception.
09:00
If you won't love the truth, God will cause you to love a lie. And oh my goodness, are we seeing that all around us right now.
09:06
The ability even of ostensible Christians to miss the elephants in the room is astounding.
09:16
And I think it's part of judgment. It is God judging this nation. There's more judgments to come.
09:22
And we're headed to obscurity. And you need to understand, your very comfortable, cushy lifestyle in the
09:33
United States of America is not going to last. And mine isn't either.
09:41
Our wonderfully stable electrical grid, except in California. Well, California gives an idea of what's going to be coming.
09:48
But the comfort that we have, man, it's going to be rough here in Phoenix. When you have brownouts and blackouts and stuff like that during the summer, it's going to be ugly.
09:55
But it's coming. It's coming. Unless something massively major happens.
10:04
Unless there is a... Everybody all at once stands up and says, this is it.
10:11
We're closing the borders. We're stopping the invasion. We're making sure only people who have a vested interest in this country are going to get to vote for what happens in this country.
10:21
And we're going to kick the enemies who have taken over this country out. Unless something like that happens, which has to be associated.
10:28
This is the point. It has to be associated with repentance of and rejection of the secular worldview.
10:37
And that's what I'm not seeing. That's what I'm not seeing. And so, yeah.
10:47
What a day to be seeing this stuff going on. And then you had...
10:53
And I had to comment on it. I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have. Did you see what
10:58
Todd Starnes said? The Christian guy on Fox? No?
11:09
Oh, he's been suffering? Well, maybe that explains the stupid thing he said on Twitter.
11:16
But Todd Starnes today on Twitter said, For every American who dies in Afghanistan, we should obliterate an
11:25
Afghan city. Just wipe it off the face of the earth. Oh, yeah.
11:33
Okay. Yeah, there you go. You do know that there are innocent people in those cities that aren't part of the
11:44
Taliban. And they're actually Christians and stuff like that. Okay.
11:50
Anyway. So many things to look at here.
12:02
Okay. Where do I even start? I've got stuff here on the screen. I've got so many articles.
12:10
Before I forget it. Almost two weeks ago now when
12:16
I was up at the Grace Agenda conference. As I said, I preached the second service at the
12:24
Lagos field house. The gymnasium at the Lagos school. They call it
12:29
Lagos. Guys, please. I even complained while I was up there. It could be
12:35
Lagos, it could be Lagos. It cannot be Lagos. And it cannot be Lagos. It's just not possible.
12:41
And it's a polygya too. I know. So I guess
12:46
I'm a hypocrite. Anyway. After the service. I was standing at the back.
12:55
Pastor Wilson had said that most of the folks go out that door there. So that's normally where I gravitate toward if you want to meet people and things like that.
13:04
So all these wonderful conversations. That's one of the reasons we're doing the road tripping thing.
13:10
You know, I stopped at a little church in Las Vegas. Had a great time with the elders up there.
13:17
I mentioned that they were all younger than my youngest. And had great food.
13:23
I'm still raving about that roast I had. I still need to get the. Send that recipe in, please.
13:30
I want that recipe. I want to make that myself. It was so simple. I mean, it was just beef on rice.
13:36
But it was wonderful. But great conversation over the table. And meeting people.
13:43
And I got to meet a bunch of people from Jeff Neal's church that were up there.
13:50
And so I sort of felt like I got to catch up a little bit with what's going on with Pastor Neal. We co -authored the
13:56
Same Sex Controversy together. And he had a stroke about six, eight months ago. Now maybe nine.
14:03
I forget exactly when it was. We're all getting old. Although he's only, I think, a year older than I am.
14:12
But just that opportunity of talking to people. And a young man came up to me. And he was talking about how much the ministry had meant to him.
14:19
And giving guidance to him. And he gave me this.
14:26
I guess it's a coin. Well, he says it does have a bottle opener built into it.
14:35
But he says this was the last one. But a coin they had struck for their class when they graduated.
14:45
And he wanted me to have it. And I was just like, we've never met.
14:51
And I can't tell you how many people this last trip said the same thing. They said,
14:56
I feel like we're old friends. But you don't have any idea who I am. We've never met.
15:03
But I watched The Dividing Line. I've now met at least ten people who want to be
15:09
Algo. And who claim to be Algo. Algo of the Northwest or the Southeast.
15:15
Whatever it is. I think I've listened to all The Dividing Lines more than once. I think I know as much as Algo.
15:24
And it's just, I don't always, normally, I don't really know exactly what to say.
15:30
When someone says, you just can't know how much this ministry has meant to me.
15:36
Or how you got me out of this place. Or into a much better place. Stuff like that.
15:44
So it's exciting to be looking forward to G3. And get to talk with folks again.
15:52
And be in the exhibit hall. And meet with people. And collect an incredible menagerie of bacteria on my hands.
16:00
From all the handshaking and everything else. But just to hear all the stories.
16:09
And I do hear them and I deeply appreciate them. They mean the world to me. And I'm looking forward to doing that.
16:20
Just over the past 24 hours, I have amended my travel route.
16:25
And by the way, I did want to say something about this. I've amended my travel route. Which is one of the nice things about this. You can go, oh, okay.
16:34
If I go that direction, then that's going to make for a long day on Wednesday. It is going to make a long day on one of the
16:42
Wednesdays. But we can shift things around.
16:49
And by the way, if you've sent in roadtrip, single word, at aomin .org.
16:57
Roadtrip at aomin .org. That's how you get put onto the map that I use.
17:06
That allows me to make these visits at various places. At the same time, please realize.
17:15
Just because I'm driving through an interstate within 20 miles of you. Doesn't mean that I can always stop.
17:23
Sometimes I've got long days. I'm trying to get a long distance. I've got to get up early the next morning.
17:28
And put another long day of driving in. And I can't do anything. Sometimes there's something really practical like laundry.
17:37
Got to make a Wally World run. Just to have some food or something. Sometimes there's just really basic.
17:43
I'm traveling alone. People are like, you're traveling alone? Yep, I'm traveling alone. I ain't taking him.
17:50
Are you kidding? The whole reason that we've lasted as long as we have.
17:56
Is his office is down there. Mine's over there. Trying to stay in the same small, less than 30 foot long
18:05
RV. End of the ministry. Oh yeah, let alone the truck.
18:11
I'd stick you in the back and lock you in during the drive. Just sort of see what would be left of you. After all that bouncing around back there.
18:17
That would be interesting. Yeah, no. You don't have someone who goes, no. You're doing all the setup yourself.
18:24
Yep. You're connecting the fifth wheel to the truck. Disconnecting it. Setting up all the electricity and the water and the sewer.
18:31
Yep. Backing that thing in. Uh -huh. That's right here.
18:38
Once in a while. The point is. If you've sent that information in.
18:44
Then we've got it. Then these aren't the only trips we're taking. We're going to be taking a lot of other trips.
18:51
We hope to be able to hit folks. If there's a couple churches in an area. Maybe I can get everybody together.
18:57
Do stuff like that. All that to say. One of the things I want to do.
19:04
On this trip. Is to get by the Strip Mall Seminary. Where I've been before.
19:12
Before it was called the Strip Mall Seminary. Grace Bible Seminary. In Arkansas.
19:19
We've set that up. Lo and behold. We'll probably have.
19:26
I'll be able to give you more details. But it looks like. We're going to end up doing. A whole conference.
19:33
Sunday night into Monday. With Owen Strand. And Jeff Johnson and myself.
19:40
On the Solas of the Reformation. That just popped up. And it's like.
19:45
Okay. I said as long as at some point along the way. We get to record something on CBGM.
19:51
Because that was one of the main reasons. I wanted to stop there. Was to record something on CBGM. And then.
19:58
In a rather providential way. An opportunity opened up.
20:04
Change routes. Only two and a half hours away. The next day. To do something at a small church.
20:10
A little bit north. Of that. We'll put word out on that.
20:17
That's going to mean. A seven and a half hour drive. The next day. To get into Atlanta.
20:24
But we'll do what we need to do. And then at G3. And then somehow on the way back.
20:30
I'm not sure exactly when it's going to be. But somehow on the way back. Tom Buck and I are going to be getting together.
20:37
And we're going to try to do something. But it's. I'm not sure when yet. And what the driving times are going to be.
20:43
And stuff like that. So. Cool stuff coming up. That's going to be exciting. And we're going to be down in Valparaiso.
20:53
Valparaiso I think. Or whatever it is. Next to Niceville in Florida. Right after G3. And I do need to let people know.
21:02
Because we've talked about it on the program. Dr. Stauffer. Doug Stauffer.
21:08
Who had been. Doing a series. Of bible studies about how wrong
21:14
I am. How I'm in it for the money. Etc. I had called about three weeks ago.
21:21
And left a message. And had sent emails. And had not heard anything back.
21:27
But he called me. Yesterday morning. And the only thing I can say right now.
21:33
Is what he said was. He'll pray about it. But I'm hoping.
21:39
Because I'm going to be there. I'm going to get there on Sunday. The Sunday after G3. I will be there.
21:47
And. There are some churches. Cooperating in that particular area.
21:53
To find a larger location. So we can do stuff together. And I'm going to speak.
21:58
On the reliability of the New Testament. On that Sunday.
22:04
And on Monday. Either. I'm going to do a presentation. Against King James Only -ism.
22:11
Demonstrating the problems. Demonstrating why it's a concern. Demonstrating why it damages Christian apologetics.
22:17
Etc. And responding specifically to Doug Stauffer's. Claims about Titus 2 .13.
22:24
And his. Arguments in his book. On that subject. Or.
22:31
If he decides to step up to the plate. Then we'll do a debate that night. Right there.
22:37
In the Valparaiso. Niceville area. And that would be the Monday after G3.
22:43
So that would be really interesting. If that worked out. We'll see if it does or doesn't.
22:50
But yeah. So that stuff is going to be coming up. And that will be very interesting. Now. I responded to.
22:59
And played a portion of Todd Friel's. Comments. On. That were specifically.
23:09
Generated. There are a couple things. There needs to be. And I'm hoping to arrange to do this.
23:16
There needs to be a correction. Of Todd's misunderstanding. Of what the doctrine of the lesser magistrate is.
23:22
It's not. That any old person. Can just decide what they want to do.
23:28
That's not what the lesser magistrate is. That's not what the doctrine is. And it's not that any old sheriff.
23:35
Can just decide whatever he wants. Or any of these things. He misrepresented that.
23:41
But the key issue. That I could tell. Was the commentary. That was given.
23:48
The understanding that Todd expressed. Which people have contacted me and said. Has always been his position.
23:54
So this is nothing new. For him. It's always been his position.
23:59
That Romans 13. Needs to be taken in. Not only as broadly.
24:07
A way as possible. But within a framework. How do you describe this?
24:18
A fundamentally non -reformed. Framework. Now Todd would say that he.
24:23
Is certainly friendly toward. Reformed theology. But. Once you start talking about.
24:31
Reformed. And then start talking about church. State relations. Then you've got.
24:37
A lot of history. And you've got. Sacralism.
24:44
You have. You have Luther. You have
24:51
Calvin. You have Zwingli. You've got Bucer. And right there you've got.
24:57
Many differences. Just between those names I just listed. Many differences. You have developments within.
25:07
Even the understanding. Of the Westminster Confession of Faith. The American Westminster.
25:13
Is different than the British Westminster. In regards to some of these very issues. Because things changed over the years.
25:19
And. So you've got a lot of. Stuff. That has to be factored.
25:27
Into. This particular conversation. It gets very very very complex. But. One.
25:37
Element that. Is common amongst. Any reformed discussion. Of for example the interpretation of Romans.
25:44
Chapter 13 or any. Of the text. Related to church and state.
25:50
And the individual Christian. Is. The issue of ultimate authorities.
25:57
And what. Has become. For better or for worse. Identified in our day.
26:05
As two kingdom. Thinking. Two kingdom theology. And most evangelicals.
26:14
Have imbibed. A view of this. Without ever having.
26:20
An inkling. That there are multiple perspectives. Out there historically. And that what.
26:27
And that the options that are being presented to them. Have been fought over for a long long time. And so.
26:36
I certainly. I mean. I remember in seminary.
26:42
When it first really hit me. That. The. Method of church governance.
26:49
That I was accustomed to. Really had no. New testament. Validity or foundation.
26:58
A pastor. Single pastor. Who is hired.
27:03
By a board of deacons. Who can fire him. The first time he preaches a sermon.
27:09
They don't like. And I've been in those situations. I remember.
27:16
When I'm. Just reading an axe going. Oh. Well there is a plurality of elders.
27:23
And the elders weren't deacons. And there was no deacon board. And what. What's this all about.
27:30
I had never even thought about it. So we tend to imbibe things. It's just the tradition that we've.
27:35
That we've taken in. And there's nothing wrong with taking in a tradition that way. But you need to realize that that's.
27:41
That's where it came from. And that there are going to be other. Perspectives out there.
27:46
And the tendency amongst conservatives is. You. Encounter somebody that has a different perspective.
27:53
And your knee jerk reaction is. Well they can't be Christians. When. So we end up.
28:02
Dividing over a lot of stuff that. Is purely traditional on our part. And when it comes to church state relations.
28:11
We are. Coming out of a period of time. In the United States of America. Where.
28:18
We didn't have to. Think a whole lot about it. We. We could get away with ignoring it.
28:25
And. Implicitly embracing a concept. Of neutrality.
28:32
That we could trust. And some of the. Two kingdom guys is some of the terminology.
28:37
That we could trust common grace. That we could trust. The common operations.
28:44
Of natural law. To restrain government. And to allow government.
28:50
To function. Without it. Taking a stand on the lordship of Christ.
28:56
And in fact. That's certainly how I was raised. You never really thought.
29:01
About how those two were related to one another. You didn't. You didn't feel like the church. Had a.
29:09
Prophetic role. In calling. The state. To submission to Christ.
29:16
The state just did its thing over there. And you. Do your part there. And I think that's why you have so many churches.
29:25
Where you've got. Those flags up front. You know you got your Christian flag. You got your
29:30
American flag. And they're on the opposite ends of the room. Because they really don't have much to do with each other.
29:39
Or you have. Just the craziness. Of First Baptist Dallas.
29:46
Where they just. And I don't know where these. I don't know where the. This certain strain of fundamentalism came from.
29:54
Have you noticed how many of the. IFB preacher clips. Bad sermon clips.
30:00
And stuff on YouTube. And Twitter and stuff like that. How many of them have. Red white and blue bunting.
30:06
And flags and stuff. You know it's like. What is all that?
30:13
Well. There are just a lot of people. That have the idea that that's that realm. And this is the spiritual realm.
30:21
And there's just this. Huge chasm fixed between the two. And. Part of that is because.
30:31
Historically there's been so many times. When the two. Have gotten intermixed.
30:37
That the clear. Delineation. Of those things. Is. Difficult for us to map out.
30:45
We don't talk about it as much as we should have. That's one of the reasons I'm. Really excited about getting. Joe Boots new book.
30:54
Ruler of Kings. One of the chapters. I had to listen to about four times.
31:01
Was on the difference. Between the kingdom and the church. That the kingdom is.
31:07
A bigger thing. Than the church. And how often have we been.
31:13
Even challenged to think about. Well what is the relationship. Between church and kingdom.
31:20
Aren't they the same thing. And if you don't.
31:25
Think that through. And if you don't look at that very carefully. You're going to end up with some real.
31:31
Confusions. That are out there. And there are certain eschatological systems. That just have those confusions built in.
31:37
They're just simply a part of the system. Then you combine that.
31:43
Sorry I'm going long. But then you combine that. With the issue of God's law. I told you all that.
31:52
And it worked really well by the way. And it's looking good. And I think it's going to last a while.
31:58
But I. I had a. It's not a bumper sticker. Because it's on the front of the fifth wheel.
32:05
But I had a sticker made. To cover over the model number. Actually I took the model number sticker off.
32:10
So it should last even longer. You've seen it. Where you're like. Cool.
32:18
But it says by what standard. But it says by what standard backwards. Because that's what's in my rear view mirror.
32:25
Every time I automatically look at the rear view mirror. And can't see anything. There's a light.
32:31
And by what standard? And that is a perfect.
32:36
That is a necessarily. Valid question for our day. What is the standard?
32:43
And there are. A number of systems of evangelical. Theology and. Roman Catholic theology.
32:51
That have no meaningful answer to that. In the sense that. They do not believe.
32:59
That God's law. Can function. As a standard in the modern world.
33:06
Or that it was ever intended to. And this is.
33:12
A great area of debate. Obviously. But fundamentally you end up with people telling.
33:18
They sense that we need. To be able to say to the world. That God has a standard.
33:25
By which they're going to be judged. But they don't want to say what it is. Because. There is such a deep strain of antinomianism.
33:35
Amongst. Evangelicals. And. Western Christians as a whole.
33:41
And such a. Well a deep ignorance. Of the law. As it's found in the inspired.
33:48
God breathed scriptures. A law that Paul said was good. And holy and just.
33:54
And proper. And we establish the law. And blah, blah, blah. Never for justification. But always for the representation.
34:01
Of God's holy intentions. Purpose and will for mankind. So we have a standard.
34:10
And this is all. In the background then. Very complex background. In Romans 13.
34:18
So if you come to Romans 13. Without. A high view of God's law.
34:24
Without. A belief. That it is God's law. That is going to define for us.
34:32
What is. The good. What is evil.
34:40
That defines for us. The roles of these things. If you don't have that.
34:47
Then. Romans 13 is going to be really difficult. To handle. Because you're going to end up with contradictions.
34:55
You're going to end up with Peter. In Acts 12. Doing one thing.
35:02
Becoming a fugitive. From the state. And then Paul. Four chapters later.
35:11
Doesn't leave his prison cell. Now there's a reason there's a difference between the two. And I've been thinking about this. Because a good friend of mine.
35:17
Up in Boulder asked me about this. He asked me. I heard what you said about.
35:24
What happens with Peter. And. The angel. Makes the chains fall off his hands.
35:33
And takes him out of the prison. And tells him to skedaddle. And so. He does what he's told to do.
35:41
Even though this makes him a fugitive. I mean. And the guards who guard him. Are executed.
35:48
And then Herod himself. In the same chapter. God executes him. And so.
35:57
There's a way of interpreting Romans 13. Where you just turn around and say. Peter blew it. The angel blew it.
36:04
Etc. But then in Acts 16. Philippian jailer.
36:11
Earthquake takes place. And the doors come open. And the jailer is about to kill himself.
36:17
But they're still in there. Well. There's an obvious difference between the two. There was no angel that gave specific direction.
36:24
To Paul and his companions. To head out on the lamp. There was a purpose here.
36:30
And the purpose was in essence to. Help build the church of Philippi. And I'm sure the jailer was a part of that.
36:38
So. It was a different kind of situation. With a different end result. You don't have a
36:45
Herod being. Judged. And struck down by God type situation. Instead.
36:51
You have a redemptive. Salvific situation. With the house.
36:59
Of the Philippian jailer. And evangelism going on. In essence.
37:04
So they're very different contexts. But you'd end up with conflict. If that's how you end up taking.
37:11
Romans chapter 13. So as I listened to. Todd's other presentation.
37:19
I promised I would. And I did. I got to the point where I.
37:25
Here's why we have. Very different understandings of this. Here's why we have very different understandings.
37:31
We have different understandings. Because when we get to. Verses 3 and 4.
37:37
He understands. He's heard the other side. And when discussing.
37:44
For rulers are not. Cause of fear for good behavior. But for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority?
37:51
Do what is good. And you will have praise in the same. For it. That authority is a minister of God. For your good.
38:07
If you do. What is evil. Then fear. For it does not.
38:12
Bear the sword for nothing. So clearly. You have.
38:19
You have. Standard words. And then.
38:25
And here's what was missing. Todd. In my opinion. In where you're going. Because even when you mentioned.
38:34
Verses 4 and 3, 4 and 5. And said there are people that. They understand this to be.
38:40
The key issue in regards to Romans 13. What you didn't mention. Are the people who say. And the
38:46
Apostle Paul. Would therefore have defined. Agathos and Kakon.
38:52
On the basis of. God's law. God's law.
39:00
By what standard. And so. There is a standard. That is to be utilized.
39:07
So if. If the minister. Bears the sword. And brings wrath.
39:16
On the one who practices good. Rather than evil. Is that.
39:27
And see. This is where. I say. There is an objective standard.
39:35
For both realms. They are. For Paul. They're one here.
39:42
In that you have one law. That's determining this. The state does not.
39:47
Get to determine Agathos. And Kakos. The state.
39:54
Doesn't get to determine that. God's already determined that. And that's the issue.
40:01
So if. The state. Brings the sword. To promote evil.
40:07
Rather than good. Then what are you to do? Well it sounded to me.
40:13
Because this perspective. Was not one of the options. That Todd presented. That you have to submit to it.
40:22
And. Obviously there have been. Many many many many situations. Down through the centuries.
40:29
When Christians. Were unjustly. Subjected. To evil.
40:37
And what that means then is. Those who did that will be judged. For the evil they committed.
40:43
I remember once when. I was at a. This one conference and I. The issue came up.
40:51
Do I believe. That political leaders today. Will be punished.
41:00
For the things they do. In their political office. And so. Nancy Pelosi.
41:07
Chuck Schumer. Promoting the murder of unborn children. And I said.
41:13
Of course. And the other people at the conference said no. Because what they're doing.
41:19
Is in that realm. Not in this realm. And you're only judged.
41:25
For what's in this realm. Very radical distinction. Between the two.
41:30
I don't see how it's even possible. Because. If you accept that kind of.
41:37
Radical distinction between the two. Then. You literally have the Apostle Paul.
41:43
Saying. That the state has the right to determine. What is good and what is evil. And there is no way on God's green earth.
41:51
The Apostle Paul thought. That God had created. An entire system. And set it up over here.
41:58
And made it autonomous. To where it's not under. The decree of his own law.
42:06
And here's the other thing. To where it's not under. The lordship of the one.
42:14
He has raised to his right hand. And given all authority in heaven. And in earth. There's the other issue.
42:22
There's the other issue. And so. As soon as I heard.
42:30
Todd deal with verses. Three four and five. And not even bring that.
42:36
He only saw. Two perspectives. And the perspective. I just presented.
42:42
Was just dismissed. Maybe not purposefully. But it just wasn't included.
42:53
And the reality is folks. More and more people. Thankfully. I believe.
43:00
Thankfully. Sorry. I clicked on the thing.
43:18
Disclosed TV. Has a tweet. Came out 24 minutes ago. And for some reason it's popped.
43:25
There's a. Marine guard. Outside the door.
43:30
At the white house. And it's raining. And then all of a sudden there's a flash.
43:37
And lightning strikes nearby. And you see the marine guard go. And then the marine guard.
43:43
Opens the door. And disappears. I think I'm going to go inside now.
43:51
My duty position. And he walked very nice. Very marinely. Inside.
43:59
I'm getting out of here. Chris commented too. He said. I'm going in too.
44:05
Sorry. I got distracted there. Too many little things there.
44:12
I think more and more people. Back to the subject. I think more and more people. Are realizing.
44:20
That the answers we had. In the 90s. Are not good enough.
44:27
For today. Because we hadn't been challenged. At this point. We weren't where we are today.
44:38
And we just. If you hadn't thought it through. It's when you're challenged. That you start going.
44:45
Huh. I never really thought about. What the relationship of those things. Are supposed to be.
44:50
I remember when I taught. Systematic theology. One of the things I would say to students. My job is to step on your toes.
44:57
My job is to challenge you. If I don't. You're wasting your time here. So. Now we're in a global situation.
45:08
Where a lot of us. Have been able to be very comfortable. And we've been.
45:13
Able to be very comfortable in our traditions. And very comfortable. Let's be honest. In our eschatologies.
45:20
Because eschatology. Isn't just simply. I talk to some folks.
45:26
And they honestly think. The biggest dispute in eschatology. Is between pre -trib, mid -trib, and post -trib.
45:33
And. And honestly. It's not even between. How you understand millenniums.
45:41
Whether you're. Aumil, post -mil, pre -mil. That type of stuff.
45:47
It really. Is directly connected to. Again. God's ultimate purposes.
45:53
In what he's doing in this world. What is his end game. And if you don't have a sovereign
46:00
God. You don't have an end game anyways. God's just doing. The best he can do.
46:06
But if you have a sovereign God. Then he enters into all of this stuff. Into all of it. And I'm seeing that more and more clearly.
46:14
As these things go on. So. There were a couple things. I just want to say.
46:21
I don't understand why my. Maybe. I'm going to blame Rich. Are you just not sending all the apology emails.
46:29
Through to me? The apology emails. Because they must be coming in.
46:37
What's an apology email? Apology. Look. Last.
46:47
What was it? November? November, December. Somewhere around there.
46:54
I. For example. Mentioned on this program. Something called
46:59
ADE. Okay. And. I.
47:08
Explained briefly what it was. What the concerns of. What scientists were saying.
47:16
That the. Vaccines. That were being developed at that time. Because they rolled out in December.
47:24
Basically. Utilized. A mechanism.
47:30
That had been abandoned. A number of times. Because once they got into animal studies.
47:36
Had caused. Mortality. And one of the issues.
47:43
That people were concerned about. Was something called ADE. It's. When your antibodies.
47:51
When you. Artificially create them. But don't use the natural system.
47:58
To bring them about. They can. Not be as.
48:04
Robust as they should be. And what happens is. A new strain of the disease comes along. Your body thinks you've already got the antibodies.
48:12
To it. And hence you are rendered. Either more susceptible.
48:18
Or defenseless. In the worst case scenarios. Against the new variants. Because your body thinks.
48:25
It's already ready for that. And it's not. And so it doesn't create.
48:31
The proper immune response. When you encounter a new variant. Which we would naturally have. If we had natural immunity.
48:39
From exposure. Or from the old style. Inoculations and vaccines. So. I mentioned this.
48:49
And of course. All the folks. With the tinfoil hats.
48:54
Conspiracy theory stuff. Are immediate. Man it was such a shame.
49:00
When James White used to just talk theology. And now he's talking. Wild crazy conspiracy theories.
49:08
And stuff like that. And. And it was a part of. Having a meaningful foundation.
49:14
For analyzing. Whether you should take these vaccines. As you need to know.
49:20
What the dangers are. And these folks ain't going to tell you. When you look.
49:27
There were 52. New billionaires. Created during 2020.
49:33
And guess which area. Had the most of them. Big pharma. And medical.
49:40
Hundreds and hundreds. Of billions if not a trillion dollars. Has gone into that field.
49:46
Worldwide. You don't think. That that kind of money. Is not causing.
49:53
A tremendous amount of suppression. Of meaningful data. The FDA just approved the Pfizer vaccine.
49:59
Without any public comment. Really. Really. Because they have no response to these things.
50:08
And everybody knows it. I mean I certainly can recognize. When someone's running from an argument. Um. But.
50:19
Here is a. This is from the journal of infection. Now you know that's a real medical journal.
50:28
Because no one else would name it. Journal of infection. If you.
50:35
Only. Only those really geeky people. Are going to subscribe to the journal of infection. Your wife isn't.
50:41
Your wife's not going to allow that on the kitchen table. You know what I mean. Your wife might.
50:47
Allow the journal of infection on the kitchen table. Okay fine. I'm not going to say anything more about that. Um. This is from.
50:56
Okay here's the title. Infection enhancing anti SARS. COVID 2 antibodies.
51:03
Recognize both the original Wuhan. D614G strain. And delta variants.
51:09
A potential risk. For mass vaccination. Here's the highlights.
51:16
This is the highlights. Before the abstract. Infection enhancing antibodies.
51:22
Have been detected in. Oh why didn't you not. Okay let's see if we can.
51:31
There we go. Infection enhancing antibodies. Have been detected in. Symptomatic COVID 19.
51:39
Antibody. Dependent. Enhancement. Parenthesis. ADE.
51:46
Parenthesis closed. Is a potential concern. For vaccines.
51:52
That's what I said. In November of last year. And that's why
51:58
I'm asking. Why aren't you sending all the. Apology emails through. Because there must be.
52:03
Everybody who went after me. Must be apologizing now right. So you apparently have forgotten.
52:09
What you said at the very beginning. Of the show. About people digging. The hole deeper and deeper.
52:17
And they don't realize they're stuck in it. Yeah. No apology tours happening over here.
52:24
No apology letters huh. Okay. Enhancing.
52:29
Antibodies. Recognize both the Wuhan strain. And Delta variants. ADE. Of Delta variants.
52:38
Is a potential risk. For current vaccines. Vaccine formulations.
52:43
Lacking ADB epitope. Are suggested. This is the paper.
52:49
Okay. So what you could get.
52:55
Kicked off of social media. For misinformation for. Over a year ago.
53:03
Is now the. Stuff of the. Introduction and highlights.
53:09
Of medical papers today. I had no control over that.
53:16
But what it means is. The people who raised these. Questions were raising absolutely.
53:21
Valid issues. And what was the response. It's kick them out. Fire them.
53:26
Censor them. Suppress them. And for some people in this audience. You people just don't know what you're talking about.
53:34
So my question is. How many of those people's lives. Families. Jobs. Careers.
53:39
Got ruined. Before the rest of them decided to wake up. And actually pay attention. Well. I'm not sure it's possible to wake up right now.
53:48
Certainly not in Australia. Which has just simply. Become a police state.
53:54
And has capitulated. On all levels of freedom. I'm sorry. What a shame.
54:02
But man the Aussies. And the Kiwis. They're just like whatever our government says.
54:08
We will do. So. A bunch of this stuff.
54:13
Is coming out. So for example. The children's health defense.
54:19
Website. Links to a. This is.
54:26
The paper is linked here. In the article. Study. Fully vaccinated.
54:33
Healthcare workers. Carry 251 times. Viral load.
54:39
Posed threat to unvaccinated patients. Coworkers. So if you want to know.
54:47
Why the masks all started. Coming back. It's because.
54:53
It has been demonstrated. Beyond all question now. In multiple studies. That the
54:59
Delta variant. In vaccinated people. Produces.
55:05
Minimally 250. I've seen over 300 times. The viral load.
55:12
In the nose. Of fully vaccinated people. Now what's funny is.
55:18
Why don't they. I don't know why. But. Why don't they talk about unvaccinated people.
55:27
Because it sounds. As I'm reading it. I could be wrong. But it sounds as I'm reading it.
55:33
That. It doesn't produce. The same viral load.
55:39
In unvaccinated people. You know what that means. Don't you. Here let me.
55:50
Yeah here. This is from the Oxford University. Clinical research group.
55:56
Published August 10th. In Lancet. The study found vaccinated individuals.
56:02
Carry 251 times load of COVID -19. Viruses in their nostrils. Compared to the unvaccinated. While moderating the symptoms.
56:10
Of infection. The jab allows vaccinated individuals. To carry unusually high viral loads.
56:16
Without becoming ill at first. Potentially transforming them. Into. Pre -symptomatic super spreaders.
56:28
This phenomenon. May be the source of the shocking. Post -vaccination surges. In heavily vaccinated populations.
56:34
Globally. Yeah so. Like that one little. Caribbean country.
56:41
And then now Israel. Super spikes. They're the most vaccinated places on the planet.
56:49
Super spikes of cases. And all we can. All they can tell us is. Yeah well you don't get quite as sick.
56:57
Oh. I don't remember that being. The big selling point of vaccines. Only a matter of days ago.
57:07
I do remember. Reporters going so. If I get vaccinated. Then I.
57:13
I'm not going to be able to pass this on. To my loved ones right. And now it's no actually.
57:22
It'll make you a super spreader. So. So that doctor up in Idaho.
57:32
Who again. You know people are like well. I saw a fact check article about him.
57:38
Well it was a fact check article. About everybody. That's not part of the narrative. But I love the way he put it.
57:45
Because it makes such perfect sense. We are now. Force vaccinating everyone.
57:51
Like if you work for Delta. $200 a month. Allegedly for medical costs.
57:57
Because you're not vaccinated. Baloney. That is pure bullying.
58:03
On the part of Delta. Delta. Shame on you. Mark them down. Because the truth is going to come out eventually.
58:11
And you're going to see the people. That were behind this. And the people that cooperated. And the cowards that gave in.
58:17
Mark them down. Fire them. Get rid of them. But here you have.
58:27
Other studies. I've got them right here. Saying. That in.
58:33
Less than 50 year olds. The current vaccines. Have dropped to as low as 31 percent.
58:39
Of efficacy. You're going to force that on people?
58:45
As the doctor in Idaho put it. We are vaccinating everyone. For last year's disease.
58:51
He's right. He's right. And here's the question. What about the next variant?
58:58
Because I also have an article here. That says that. Some enterprising.
59:04
Researchers. Started looking at samples. From the earliest COVID -19.
59:11
Survivors. And have clear evidence. That they.
59:16
Carried within them. Genetically modified. By human beings. Viruses.
59:23
It's like a little flag. Hi. I was made by humans. What if the next variant.
59:34
That comes down the road. At the end of this year. Has already been designed. Knowing. What the first one.
59:44
Would produce. And it will absolutely press. The mega
59:50
ADE button. What's going on. Right now. This very day.
59:58
Our. Department of Defense. Is demanding that everyone. In the military.
01:00:05
Get a vaccine. That for them. Will be less than 31 % effective. Will make them super spreaders.
01:00:14
The entirety of the military. What if the next variant. Is just waiting to be released. That goes full on ADE.
01:00:21
And wipes out the US military. Gee. Where could that have come from.
01:00:28
Oh conspiracies. I've been right all along. It's just common sense. It's just like sit back.
01:00:35
Take Romans 1. And mix in a trillion dollars. And what will people be willing to do.
01:00:43
What are people willing to do. I mean look at the lies about masks right now.
01:00:49
Here's another one. Here's another one. I saw an advertisement.
01:00:58
I've got a study right here. The study. New study claims masks.
01:01:03
Only 10 % effective. Okay. When was it
01:01:08
June of last year. I'm going hey wait a minute. There's all these studies. From 2014.
01:01:16
To 2019. And they're all pretty much saying the same thing. This is a big fat lie.
01:01:22
You conspiracy terrorist. You're trying to kill grandma. We're going to kick you off this whole. You know. So here's a paper.
01:01:31
From August of this year. Says the same thing. Anthony Fauci's emails come out.
01:01:37
Anthony Fauci knows this to be true too. But he only tells that to his friends. Not publicly. Which is despicable by the way.
01:01:45
It's absolutely evil. Just despicable. A despicable human being to do that kind of thing. But now.
01:01:53
I'm just sitting here. I think it was on Facebook. I don't know. An advertisement came up.
01:02:00
Can't get away from them anymore. Somebody by the way recently. Sold my phone number again.
01:02:06
I had 11 yesterday. I've got 8 so far today. Spam calls. So I need to look back and see what
01:02:13
I bought online. And go oh there's a company. That just put it back out there.
01:02:18
Here's an active thing. Ding ding ding. So. It's an advertisement.
01:02:25
Was it 3M? It was 3M. For a truly.
01:02:32
Effective biological mask. Even more so than N95. Which I'm sure what that means is.
01:02:37
Because this is just simply physics. The more it filters. The less you breathe.
01:02:44
The more it filters. The less oxygen you get. And the more carbon dioxide. You've got in your bloodstream.
01:02:50
That's just the way it is. But in the text. Of the advertisement.
01:02:57
It says. Regular cotton face masks. Only filter about 10 % of biological products.
01:03:05
Oh. Yeah. That's the stuff we were getting in trouble for. For saying last summer.
01:03:11
You anti -maskers. You're doing misinformation. And now.
01:03:17
3M can advertise. With that. And they're not being. Kicked off the internet for doing that.
01:03:25
Because actually. Everyone knew that was true all along. That's why they talked about double masking.
01:03:32
And triple masking. But if you triple mask you're up to 30%. And you're probably about to die. Alexander Solzhenitsyn.
01:03:41
Live not according to lies. Live not according to lies. But we are. And. Uh.
01:03:49
In Washington state. Is that horrible little picture? Ugh. My daughter retweeted it.
01:03:57
Or was that on Facebook? I think it was both. Where up in Minnesota.
01:04:02
It's a picture of them teaching the little kids. Um. To walk like zombies.
01:04:09
Um. In the hallways. With their hands out to keep other little kids.
01:04:15
Social distance from them. So that's how you're supposed to. With your little face shields and your masks. Yes sir.
01:04:23
I saw that you have raised. The golden microphone. Of French superiority.
01:04:29
So you were walking by my desk the other day. While I was on the phone. And that phone call was a gentleman.
01:04:37
Very nice gentleman. Very respectful gentleman. Who was. Identified himself as a medical doctor.
01:04:43
And he was raising concerns about. The fact that you retweeted this other doctor. Oh the guy in Idaho?
01:04:49
Right. And in the conversation. Because I'm like okay. Let's you and I have a conversation here.
01:04:56
Let's talk about some things. I've been talking about for well over a year. And I asked him.
01:05:02
I said do you know. What someone looks like after. Using a paint sprayer.
01:05:08
After wearing an N95 mask. And he wasn't quite tracking with me. I said as soon as I take it off.
01:05:14
You can see where all of the water molecules went. How they penetrated the mask.
01:05:21
How they're up your nose. How they're in your mouth. That's when the conversation started going towards.
01:05:28
Well you know. It at least slows things down. And then eventually it was well. They're at least 10 % effective.
01:05:34
I asked him. Would you walk into a room. Filled with carcinogens in the air.
01:05:40
Wearing that mask. And spend an hour in there. Well no. So there's a reason why.
01:05:47
An automobile painter. Wears a nosh mask. First of all.
01:05:53
It's just strapped super tight. To his face. It's got rubber around it.
01:05:59
It's got layers along with charcoal. In it. But nobody.
01:06:04
Is out there talking about. Us using nosh masks. In fact some people have done it and they laugh.
01:06:11
They laugh. Don't give them ideas. But the point here is.
01:06:16
Here's the simple question. If we were actually dealing with the Spanish flu.
01:06:22
Would they be playing these games? Because that's exactly what they're doing. Well they did back then. But they didn't have anything else to do.
01:06:28
But if we were looking at. Truly millions in this country. Like they said this was going to be.
01:06:35
Dead. In a few months. Millions dead. Per month.
01:06:42
They wouldn't have the room to be playing these games. Because. It would literally be a scenario.
01:06:48
Where the guy in the car. Comes by your house and says. Bring out your dead. And an
01:06:53
N95 isn't going to. Survive that kind of thinking. So.
01:06:59
The whole mask thing. Folks. You gotta wake up and recognize.
01:07:05
It's all for show. Submission. Well it's like the little old lady.
01:07:11
Wendy's used to say. Where's the beef? There ain't any. Pure submission. Pure lies.
01:07:19
And of course as people say. What it does is. It makes people think that they are.
01:07:25
Protected by it. When in fact they're not. One last thing real quick. Another study.
01:07:33
Explosion of studies over the weekend. Real world data from Israel.
01:07:38
Linked Pfizer's COVID -19 vaccine. To an elevated risk of heart inflammation. Researchers said this week. Israeli scientists found that vaccination.
01:07:45
Likely caused myocarditis or heart inflammation. In 1 to 5 people per 100 ,000.
01:07:50
Who wouldn't have otherwise suffered the condition. However. They also said that getting
01:07:56
COVID -19. Was linked to a higher risk with 11. Inflammation events.
01:08:02
Out of 100. Attributed to the disease. Now I'm not sure why. Okay 11.
01:08:09
Okay. Most of the heart inflammation cases. Post vaccination were in young males.
01:08:15
The 21 people who had myocarditis. In the vaccinated group. Had a median age of 25. And 90 .9 % were women.
01:08:22
So the argument here is. Yes it does cause myocarditis. But COVID is.
01:08:28
Getting COVID is worse. Than getting the myocarditis. At least over a larger number of people.
01:08:37
That's the argument now. Is that yeah there's risks. With these vaccines. So the question is.
01:08:43
Why does it cause myocarditis? Why then would you force. The people who are in the least.
01:08:50
Danger of COVID -19. To run that risk. I don't know.
01:08:57
But the idea is. Well yeah okay yeah. It is out there. Well why at first were they so.
01:09:03
Averse to admitting it. Well part of it has to do with. You know now that Pfizer.
01:09:11
Now the Pfizer one has been. FDA approved. They're now having to find. A way to backdoor.
01:09:18
Immunity from. Lawsuits. Because once something's licensed. Then you can sue.
01:09:24
If you have negative results from it. So it's all money. It's all money.
01:09:31
But there's an admission now. Well yeah it does cause that. But initially. Everybody who said hey.
01:09:38
This is happening. Oh no. Conspiracy theory. Tin hats. No actually it was happening.
01:09:47
Oh well. Alright so I guess. The resident of the
01:09:52
White House. Just. Spoke.
01:09:59
And. Oh good grief he didn't. He did.
01:10:06
He quoted from Isaiah. When the Lord says. Who shall I send.
01:10:11
The American military has been answering for a long time. Here I am Lord send me. Yeah great.
01:10:28
Alright well. I didn't hear it. I'll have to go now listen to it. I'm seeing lots of comments about it.
01:10:36
There you go. Hopefully some of that was helpful to you. But like I said. I'm sure.
01:10:42
The apology emails are coming. I'm sure they will. They will come eventually.
01:10:49
Okay they're not coming. I realize that. I was being facetious all along. Really was but it does make a point.
01:10:57
Let's see what is today. Today is Thursday isn't it. Yes yes well we will see what happens.
01:11:02
I think next week. Should be pretty normal. And. It's not till like the third week.
01:11:10
Of September that. Everything gets weird and crazy. And I head back out on the road.
01:11:16
But we didn't really miss that many. Programs. And. Just had to move around.
01:11:24
Just had to move around. So that's what we'll continue doing. I had some more Gregory set up. But I ended up spending a lot of time on.
01:11:32
All the background issues. For Romans 13 and stuff so. And in fact I'm going to be on.
01:11:38
With Chris Arnzen in a couple weeks. I think the 8th. And we're going to do
01:11:43
Romans 13 at that time too. So it is important. Thanks for watching the program today. We will see you next time.
01:11:49
If we still have a YouTube account. And still online. Next time.
