Hello, my name is Dusty. I'm a Christian, registered voter and county delegate in Salt Lake County.
I want you to know I respect the position of power that you've been delegated with, given by God. I'm here to speak out against the evils of abortion.
Murder is the premeditated killing of a human being with malice of forethought. The child in the womb is a human being from conception.
The Bible has told us, and science has confirmed it as a scientific fact. The 14th
Amendment of the Constitution states that every human being should have equal protection under the law.
Any bill that doesn't look to abolish abortion and allows it to continue is not good enough.
I'm asking all of you today to no longer support unconstitutional bills that allow for abortion for any reason to continue in our state.
God's law says you shall not murder. You may argue this is no place for God or the Bible, as there is a separation of church and state.
But I tell you that this is the exact place God belongs as we look to legislate what is and isn't moral.
You cannot do this without God and his word, which tells us what is and isn't right and what should and shouldn't be done.
The separation of church and state was merely instituted by our forefathers so there would be no state -run church and there would be no church -run state.
The state is, however, God's deacon, which is a servant to punish the evildoer and reward those who do good.
