- This is a ministry of striving for eternity. So we were talking yesterday about how those who want to criticize
- 01:22
- Christianity will use slavery as a means to do it. Now, we're trying to apply critical thinking.
- 01:28
- Now, when we look at this, we look at slavery in the Old Testament, or even slavery in America, you had people who were able to marry, to have children, to have certain freedoms.
- 01:43
- Now, they'll say that slavery is wrong because it restricts people from their livelihood, of what they want to choose, their free will.
- 01:53
- However, when we think about this, we do accept, and even those who want to criticize
- 01:59
- Christianity will accept, there are certain restrictions that should be placed upon people.
- 02:04
- We looked yesterday at prison. Prison is one restriction, and it's far more restrictive than slavery was, for you're not allowed to marry, maybe in rare cases, but you don't have the freedoms.
- 02:15
- You're told what you can and can't do. So you end up seeing that that's restrictive. But there's some other things that they don't think about when it comes to that issue.
- 02:23
- There's other ways that we restrict people all the time in different laws. We have laws for things that people are not allowed to do and have the freedoms to do until they're of certain ages.
- 02:33
- We have laws that restrict people. Say, if they have a restraining order, they're not allowed to be in certain areas with other people.
- 02:41
- So we have plenty of laws that restrict, and they don't see that as being wrong. Why? Because they're trying to discredit the
- 02:47
- Bible, and they're not applying logic to do so. This podcast is part of the
