What About Abortion? (A Response to the Holy Post Video from Phil Vischer and Skye Jethani)

The Moral Clarity of the Abortion Question

Look, let's make this really simple. Do not vote for politicians in favor of legalizing the murder of children. That's pretty basic, right? And yet there are many Christian teachers who want you to feel at peace with voting for baby murderers, as if this is no big deal.

In a Holy Post video, Phil Vischer, the creator of VeggieTales, and Sky Jatani argue that abortion should not be the single issue that determines how Christians vote. After all, Republican appointments to the Supreme Court have not ended abortion, and even if Roe v. Wade were overturned, it would not end abortion anyway.

Therefore, a Christian should vote for the party of baby murder? How is that a reasonable argument? Though the video is titled, What About Abortion?, Vischer and Jatani never actually say what abortion is.

Abortion as the Murder of Unborn Children

Abortion is a holocaust, the murder of unborn children, 3 ,000 in America each day, about 1 million per year, burned with chemicals, ripped apart with forceps, decapitated with scissors, sacrificed for mom and dad's sexual immorality.

Biblical Justice and the Sanctity of Life

According to God's Word, Exodus 21 says that justice for the murder of an unborn child is the same justice as for the murder of an adult. Romans 1 .32 says, Though they know God's righteous decree, that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them, but give approval to those who practice them.

Repentance and Refusing Complicity in Evil

Repent of your sin, turn to Jesus for forgiveness, and do not vote for baby murderers when we understand the text.
