Welcome to The Rapid Pull, Daily Edition, where we provide a quick Biblical interpretations and applications.

This is a ministry of striving for eternity. Here's a little tip the next time you go out to a restaurant and you want to find opportunities to share the gospel with your waiter or waitress.
00:22
This is something that I often do when I go to a restaurant. As soon as we sit down, as soon as I can, I ask the waiter or waitress for their name.
00:29
I then inform them that we are Christians at the table, assuming we're all Christians at the table, obviously, and I will tell them that we are about to pray for our meal, and I ask, is there anything
00:40
I can specifically be praying for you? This is, I found, to be a great way to start a conversation with your waiter or waitress.
00:50
One, because I immediately show an interest in them. I've had more than once, many times actually, where either the waiter or waitress will start opening up about lots of things or they bring a different waiter or waitress over who needs prayer.
01:02
Now, sometimes they'll walk away saying, hey, I'm a good, I don't need anything. I've had very often they come back and say, are you really going to pray for me?
01:08
And they mention a request. I've had one waitress that actually didn't believe we were going to pray for her, and she stood while we were praying, and we did mention her by name, but since she didn't mention a request, we prayed for her salvation, which, by the way, we always do, and that we might be the ones to share it with her.
01:24
Once we were done praying, she said, you really are going to pray for me. Then she opened up and started sharing a whole lot.
01:30
We had great opportunities to share the gospel with her. It's a very simple, tactful way to be able to find an opening many times to sharing the gospel with your waiter or waitress because they've got to get a job done.
01:41
They don't have a lot of time to talk, but a lot of times that opening allows you to keep that conversation going every time they come over to bring something to the table.
01:49
You can just move the conversation a little more. This podcast is part of the Striving for Eternity ministry.
