This is a ministry of striving for eternity. What happens after we die?

Is there some sort of waiting period between death and whether we go to heaven or hell?

The Roman Catholic Church would call this purgatory. There are some who think that somehow there's this place where we go, where we can work off the rest of our sins and eventually make our way to heaven, unless we're really, really, really bad.

However, there is no temporary place. What we see in Hebrews 9 .27, it says, and just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.

So, what you end up seeing is that it's appointed unto man once to die and then the judgment. There's no in between.

Now, heaven and hell are a temporary place, for we see in Revelation that hell or Hades will be thrown into the lake of fire.

So, the eternal resting place is the lake of fire or the new heaven and new earth.

So, yes, in a sense, what we would think of as heaven and hell is a temporal place, waiting the eternal place, but that eternal place will also be a heaven or a hell, hell being the lake of fire.

So, the idea that there's a place in between where we get a second chance, as Mormonism or Roman Catholicism would teach, we don't see that in the
