This is a ministry of striving for eternity. We often hear it asked, why are people leaving the church?
00:19
Andy Stanley actually tried to address this recently. However, I think the question, why are people leaving the church when referring to children who are raised in the church and then walk away supposedly from the faith is a false question.

You see, look at what the question says. Why are people leaving the church as if they were once part of the church?

John 1 .19 that those who leave the church, the visible local church, those that leave that do so to expose that they were never of the church.

This is the important thing to remember. They went out from among us because they were never of us to expose that they were not of us.

So what you end up seeing is they didn't leave the church. It's not a question of why are people leaving the church or why are they leaving the faith.
01:23
The fact is they were never part of the invisible universal church, meaning believers only, because they didn't have the faith.
01:32
To even ask questions like this emboldens the professing atheists who try to use their fact that they grew up in a church as a statement of authority on Christianity when all they were were hypocrites that stopped pretending.
