- This is a ministry of striving for eternity. We have gotten many questions this week regarding the day that Jesus Christ died.

- Was it on Wednesday? Was it on Thursday? Or was it on Friday? Many people think that he was not buried on Friday as traditionally held.

- This comes from a thinking that Jesus Christ had to have been in the ground buried for three literal 24 -hour days.

- And therefore, if he was buried on Friday and rose on Sunday, that is not three literal 24 -hour days.

- And people see a problem with that. We're going to address that this week and show you that it's very easy to understand.

- And scripturally, there is only one possibility, and that is that he was crucified on Friday, in the ground on Saturday, and rose from the dead on Sunday morning.

- Now, one of the things we have to do when we look at this, and we're going to look at today, is the fact that we must understand the language of the time and what it meant.

- And so we have to first address the fact that we're removed from Jewish culture of that time.
