06:33
Good evening, everyone.
07:46
Glad to see you here. We hope that you've come not just to see the little kids put on a performance, but hear what
07:54
God has to say through the mouths of children. One of the Psalms says, out of the mouths of children come these praises.
08:00
And so that's what we're hoping that will happen tonight. So before we begin, let's pray and ask
08:07
God to bless our time together. Father, we're thankful for these children. We're thankful for all the work they've put in, and Lord, we can't help but think that they've been taught so much about the
08:19
Lord Jesus as they practice and as their leaders instruct them in what the
08:25
Word of God says. We're thankful that you can use little children to lead us in worship.
08:34
So tonight, we pray that you would communicate this great story of salvation through them.
08:42
And we will thank you as we see them, as we hear them, as we listen to what your
08:49
Word has to say through them. We pray this in Jesus' name. Amen. Zechariah, God is with you.
10:43
To sink in darkness, not to Jerusalem, Lord, of the peace that waits for love.
11:25
To sink our God in water, before God's own arrows.
13:21
During the reign of Herod the king, there lived a good priest who served in the temple.
13:26
His name was Zechariah, and he was married to Elizabeth. But they had no children, and they were very old.
13:34
Zechariah was ministering in the temple when an angel appeared. He stood next to the altar and scared
13:41
Zechariah so much that he began to shake. But the angel said to him, Do not be afraid,
13:47
Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard. And your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son.
13:54
You will name him John. Joy and gladness will come to you, and many will rejoice at his birth.
14:02
For he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He will make a path, level and smooth, leading us to Christ.
14:11
But Zechariah didn't believe it. He said to the angel, I cannot be sure of this, for I am an old man, and my wife is old as well.
14:21
The angel answered him, I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and bring you this good news.
14:30
But now and since you do not believe my words, you will be silent, unable to speak, until the day these things take place.
14:38
The following year, Elizabeth had a son, and on the eighth day, they took him to the temple to be circumcised.
14:44
And all their friends and family thought they would name the boy after his father. But Elizabeth said,
14:51
No, he must be named John. Zechariah agreed, but because he could not speak, he wrote on a tablet, his name is
14:58
John. And they were all amazed. Immediately, Zechariah's mouth was opened, and his tongue released, and he spoke,
15:05
Banditas, blessed is the Lord. Zechariah saw, he believed, he worshipped.
16:11
Now Elizabeth was about six months pregnant when that same angel, Gabriel, appeared to a young girl named
16:18
Mary, who lived in the town. She happened to be engaged to a man named
16:23
Joseph, who lived in the same town. When that angel appeared, Mary was also afraid. So he said to her,
16:30
Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
16:36
You have been chosen to give birth to the long -awaited Messiah. The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and many will, in the time to be born, be holy.
16:49
He will be called the Son of God. Yes, I am assured of that,
16:56
Lord. That does happen to me according to your word. And the angel's heart opened. Mary saw, she believed, she worshipped.
17:15
Did you know, did you know, that your baby should be married to the
19:11
Lord? Joseph found out that Mary was pregnant, and they were not yet married.
20:06
So Joseph considered ending the whole thing privately. But again, an angel appeared to Joseph, this time in a dream.
20:13
He said, Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the child is from the
20:22
Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you will name him
20:29
Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.
20:36
When Joseph awoke from sleep, he did what the angel of the Lord told him. Joseph saw, he believed, he worshipped.
20:51
Yes, Jesus loves me, this
21:04
I know. For the Bible tells me so.
21:10
Little ones too can be long. They are weak, but He is strong.
21:19
Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me.
21:28
Yes, Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so.
21:37
Jesus loves me. He will die, and His gates to open wide.
21:46
He will wash away the sin. Yes, Jesus loves me.
22:00
Jesus loves me, loves me still. Though I'm weary, weak, and ill, from His shining throne above, keeps me always in His love.
22:19
Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me.
22:27
Yes, Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so.
22:48
Mary and Joseph saw, they believed, they worshipped.
23:22
The stars in the ground, Jesus, asked me to stay.
24:13
Close by me forever, all the dear children wait.
24:51
Nearby, shepherds watched their sheep by night. Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared. The glory of the
24:57
Lord surrounded them, and they were terrified. But the angel said unto them, Do not fear, for your
25:06
Savior is born in the city of David. He is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you.
25:14
You will find your baby wrapped in strips of cloth. Suddenly, the vast heavenly army appeared with the angel, praising
25:22
God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace on men, to whom
25:30
He is pleased. After the angel and choir left them, the shepherds said to one another,
25:38
Do you see what I saw? Do you believe what we heard? What does this mean?
25:45
Let us go to Bethlehem and see this thing that is taking place, that the Lord may know to us.
25:51
They found Mary, Joseph, and the baby, and told the family what had happened to them. Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising
25:59
God for all they had heard and seen. Everything was just as they had been told. Let us go to Bethlehem.
29:01
Let us go to Bethlehem and see, In whose birth the angels sang,
29:07
Come, Lord, to amend in me, My soul,
29:12
Lord, and me. Holy Spirit, Excelsis Deo, See Him in a manger laid,
29:44
Jesus, Lord, and heavenly Lord. Mary, Joseph, let it rain,
29:52
Rejoice in your Savior's birth. Oh, Excelsis Deo.
30:09
Oh, Excelsis Deo.
30:21
A time later, a star appeared in the sky.
30:46
Men from the East who studied the skies believed that this new star had special meaning. It must have been set to announce the birth of a great king.
30:54
So they gathered rich gifts and made the journey to Jerusalem, saying, Where is the one who was born to you of the
31:07
Jews? We saw the star and we have come to worship Him.
31:14
Later, this star they saw fled them until it stopped above the place where the child was.
31:20
When they saw the star, they shouted joyfully. As they came into the house and saw the child with Mary, his mother, they bowed down and worshipped
31:28
Him. They opened their treasure boxes and gave Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
31:35
From the match I saw, they believed, they worshipped.
34:18
The time came for Mary and Joseph to present
34:47
Jesus to the Lord at the temple according to the law of Moses. Now there was a man in Jerusalem named
34:53
Saman, who was righteous and devout, looking for a restoration of Israel. And the Holy Spirit was upon him,
35:00
It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ.
35:06
So Simeon, directed by the Spirit, came into the temple courts, and when the parents brought the child
35:12
Jesus to do for Him what was customary according to the law, Simeon took Him in his arms and blessed
35:17
God, saying, Glory to the
35:24
Lord! Son of the Lord, I make this to depart in peace. For my eyes have seen the salvation that You have prepared for the sons of all peoples.
35:35
They wait for a resolution to be given to us. Then Anna, a prophetess, who had spent most of her life as a widow, fasting and praying, came up at that very hour and gave thanks to God for the redemption that had come to Israel.
35:55
And even when Anna saw, they believed, they...
37:17
nature... nature...
38:11
Emmanuel... Emmanuel...
39:28
Emmanuel... Emmanuel... We see, we believe, we see, we believe, we worship.
40:51
Glory to the
41:13
Lord! Nature's kingdom... kingdom...
43:31
Well, that was wonderful, wasn't it? Let's give a well -deserved round of applause to these little ones. Well, we invite everyone to enjoy a meal with us at the back.
43:47
So after I pray, that's what we'll engage in and talk about how good our little ones did.
43:52
So let us pray to our God. Great God in heaven, I am so thankful,
43:58
Lord, that that You have given us the Word of God, the truth, that these little ones have expressed to us through this play,
44:08
God. And I'm so thankful that as they saw, as they believed and worshiped, so You call us to that great treasure, to hear the
44:15
Word, to believe the Word, and to worship in light of the Word, that Jesus Christ truly has taken on flesh, truly
44:21
God, truly man, and has died for sinners like us. Lord, how can we not but worship in light of this truth?
44:28
So I pray, God, that like them, like these great heroes of the faith, we would too respond to the
44:34
Word with hearts full of gratitude and thanksgiving, especially this Christmas season.
44:40
Again, Lord, we're so thankful for children, how we can teach them the Word in this way, and they can minister to our hearts in the way that they have tonight.
44:48
God, may we be extra appreciative of them even today, even tonight, even as we enjoy this meal with them.
44:55
Lord, we thank You that we can engage in a meal together. Bless this food to our body and let our hearts and our lips be ever full of Jesus Christ as we consider the majesty, the wonders, the beauty that Jesus Christ has came down and has done such a great work for us.
