- Review of the same Bible just in two different covers. So both of these are Schuyler quintiles

- I got this one as a marriage gift and Not knowing the significance of a premium

- Bible. I went and put Yeah, I know tabs on it you see

- I was doing the professor Horner reading plan for five years and doing Ten chapters a day from ten different books the tabs kind of speeded things along a little bit

- And so when I first got this Bible and route really not knowing the significance of it And I was still going through the professor

- Horner reading system. I put tabs on it Yeah, I still use this Bible sometimes if it's near me and I'm needing to look up a reference or something

- But other than that, I don't really use it. This is the same Bible. The only difference is is this is red under gold

- Versus this one right here. It's silver undergo same exact text block so But I bought this one because I really love this one, but I couldn't stand that it had the tabs

- I went bought me another one and as y 'all know Schuyler's are not cheap. Oh, sorry They are the permit the premier text block.

- I believe of Bibles, so I really love this text block and I'll give you a review of how

- I Did the rebind? Okay. So as you notice this comes with a very very soft nice goat skin and I want it

- Like I really like this is really nice and there was some things about it

- And once I started getting into rebinding it pretty good Then I liked about this one

- That I want it for a future Bible and so I like the the black and the

- Navy as you can see right here. I did the Navy I Think black and burgundy is my favorite color combo

- But um, so I really like black Bibles and so and I want it hubs like on this particular one

- It's got indention lines of hubs, but it's not a raised hub and What I did there was

- I put the raised hubs Very defined I like that the

- That the Jerusalem cross was on the cover, but instead of doing the Jerusalem cross.

- I went with my logo and Put post tenderbrush Lux. So both of these

- Bibles are goat skin. I'm really not sure That's the type of goat skin.

- This is I can get something very similar to it and feel and look Called maraca goat skin.

- I think it has a little more shine, but it's really hard to tell because the leather covers no matter

- Who you're getting it from like leather covers are so inconsistent

- You can order two pieces of leather same kind of leather and both of them will have two different feels

- Almost and and the green pattern would be a little different. I don't get it. But anyways, so this is a really really nice goat skin

- I don't know the name of it The closest I find is one called maraca that has a little more shine to it

- This right here is probably my favorite that I've worked with this is a solely goat skin

- It's got a real real good grain real good feel but again, it's inconsistent

- I don't get it. A lot of people love that about leather. I like Leather That has scars on it

- Personally, so like if you like you really can't tell in this one, but you can see the spine in the right light

- So it's kind of starts right here like the spine of the goat is what I'm talking about You can see a clear definition of the spine of the goat

- Running across this leather, but you can only see it in certain light and I really love it

- I was really wanting the spine of that goat to kind of run across this way where it would kind of show up like that, but The way that I had to cut the piece of leather it just wasn't gonna work out my

- Bible was too big for that part so So, yeah, so things that I liked about the

- Skylar The way that it was bound That I wanted this one to be like and then things

- I didn't like that I wanted to make up with this one, of course, I wanted a

- Semi to a fully out. So The Skylar doesn't have that and as you can see right down here

- The gilding kind of got messed up Well, not kind of it did and I'm not sure why

- I think I kind of had like a on my table I think I kind of had like a a soft drink or a bottle of water

- Not on it, but just near it and and then somehow I don't know

- That seemed to have happened And not saying that that wouldn't happen with this but this right like it just it protects the full yap

- It protects any kind of scuff Like like you can put this Bible in a bag

- Because of the full yap and as you're putting it in the bag It seals it like it just closes it all the way around and it protects the block

- So I know I love this block my favorite block. I love the black leather Black I love that.

- It had the Jerusalem cross. So I went with my symbol and I love the fact

- That it had Navy and so I went with Navy. I didn't like the fact That it wasn't full yet or a semi up.

- So I added that another thing that I did not like about The Skylar's is their corners

- I don't know if I can Posted a picture not long ago About their corners, but they cut them.

- They just Slice them and then fold them over really nice. I mean, there's it I Mean, who am

- I to complain? So I didn't like the corner. I'm in the corners and personally,

- I don't like the the goad perimeter line Lots of people do

- I am able to put that on there Personally I did not want it on my

- Bible. And so my corners all my corners are pleats I'm good.

- Look at that. So all of them are pleated hand pleated so and then

- I didn't do the goad and also I like that it was perimeter stitching, but me being a little

- Having a little pop and a little Being a street kid wanted something that was eye -catching

- So whenever I started rebinding one of the things me and my wife spoke about was doing stitching around the perimeter but we also wanted to be

- Known for doing contrast stitching. And so that's what I did. I went with my favorite my color scheme black and burgundy and This one right here

- I hand stitch so this is all hand done. Yeah another thing

- I love this is probably one of the most favorite things I loved about a Schuyler and Premium Bibles that you couldn't get with other

- Bibles and I posted a video right when I first got this one Or maybe it was my quintile, but I went like this.

- I said if your Bible Doesn't do that and you need a Schuyler That was the post that was before I started rebinding.

- I was watching videos looking into it. I was like you need a Schuyler I love that and that was my go

- When rebinding I wanted to be able to open it up and it shut by itself

- That right there Is something that it's one of the qualifications? That I hold high to before it leaving my door as that's one of the tests that I do.

- I'll flip that over And if it falls in place, I love it. That's that's that's a good stuff for me and it's a alright, so Now you might say well this because The leathers too hard, but this is goat skin

- This is goat skin. There's nothing hard about these leathers. They're nice comfortable leathers

- But the purpose is is the block being attached to it so a lot of people and you can buy premium

- Bibles where that block is not attached really well and If it's not like when you hold your

- Bible up So like you kind of see this arch and so you want that arch

- You don't want to open that and it just fall completely down like that's

- That's no good and I'm not saying that I've never made one like that You know coming up learning how to do this but but the goal the go has always been

- That And so I try to make my Bibles do that I try to put it in a real tight everything is tight

- I tell my Dispensational friends that these Bibles are built for Armageddon.

- I mean you can pick it up No matter where you want to they are in there. They are tight

- You are not this Bible is not just gonna fall apart. This is a great great

- Great great great Bible feels great. Nothing wrong with it. I just wanted something else that wasn't really offered and So I'm happy that I have a

- Schuyler quintile block, and I'm happy to carry a Bible that's handcrafted by myself personally,
