A TLP Snippet 7: Things Are Going to Get Better!

Welcome to A TLP Snippet number 7. I'm your host A .M. Brewster, and I have some exciting news for you today.

Let me first say that back in January, I wondered if we'd ever hit our 50th episode or be entering our 8th month of broadcasting.

But here we are with our 50th episode set to publish on Friday. And we have no one to thank more than our

God. He's providentially cared for TLP in so many ways. If you're new to this show, let me welcome you and encourage you to listen to A TLP Snippet number 4.

Our snippets are generally dedicated to parenting wisdom in 5 minutes or less, but sometimes I use them to share amazing news with you, and I took that particular episode to share a mind -blowing act of God.

Check it out. But as I'm basking in this heart of thankfulness, I know there are many other people to thank as well.

My family has been very encouraging to me in this process. My wife Johanna, my son Micah, and my daughter

Ivy are the joys and crown of my life. Without them, I wouldn't be a husband or father, and we wouldn't be taking this journey together.

I also couldn't do any of this without Team TLP and you the listeners, especially those of you who regularly

LSR by listening and learning, sharing and subscribing, rating and reviewing. Of course, there are also our prayer warriors.

Thank you so much for approaching the throne of God on our behalf. But the last category of individuals

I want to highlight is a new one, and they're part of the exciting news I have for you today. But in order to really introduce you to them,

I have to tell you a little bit about where Truth Love Parent is going in the next few months. First of all, please know that these episodes will always be free.

We want every Christian parent to be intentional, premeditated, disciple -making parents.

And all the work that goes into creating these episodes is worth it if it helps even one family. But we're also creating other resources and tools and developing a website that will be the main hub of TLP.

It's not live yet, but the address will be truthloveparent .com and there you'll be able to find our podcast, original articles on parenting, family and marriage written by our

TLP counselors, and all the products and services that are currently in development. As you can imagine, this is a huge undertaking and everyone who works on this is volunteering their time.

Many of you know that I work full -time as a lead counselor at Victory Academy for Boys. So that's the direction we're going.

And to use an outdated 90s term, I couldn't be more stoked. Really, every day

God is introducing us to more listeners and growing our audience. But recently, some of you have asked how you can be a blessing to TLP.

I've written many of you back requesting your prayers and asking you to simply LSR. To be honest,

I refused to really even consider finances until January when I realized our free hosting account at Podomatic wasn't going to last us much longer.

But I knew God would provide, and boy did he ever. But a couple of you go -getters have really hounded me about supporting the ministry with your finances.

So Team TLP discussed the pros and cons of that. And in the end, we decided that the Lord would be glorified if we created an easy way for those of you who share our burden for strong,

Christ -honoring, biblically grounded families to take a more active role in our ministry. So we signed up with Patreon .com.

Now, we were planning to announce our Patreon page after we unveiled our new website in the next few months, but some of you convinced us to give everyone an earlier glimpse.

If you click on the Support TLP link in the description below, you'll be directed to our Patreon page. In addition to a welcome letter, you'll see two very cool things.

One is a list of our goals. Our goals have always been pretty conservative because we didn't expect anyone to sacrifice financially for us this early on, and we wanted to be good stewards of our finances.

But as we realized how much we could accomplish with even a few dollars, we thought bigger. Now, the goals listed there aren't all of them.

We'll be adding more and more as the months and years progress because everything that's living grows. And if we've been entrusted with stewarding and preaching the living

Word of God, you better believe TLP should be growing. Two, you'll also see something called rewards.

Patreon believes in supporting creators, but they also believe in rewarding patrons. They encourage creators to set up various tiers of unique and prestigious awards.

And if you check out the page, you'll see ours. I'm thrilled by our reward program and look forward to delivering on it.

But I'm not going to tell you what any of our goals or rewards are right now because I want you to check out the page. And that leads me to my final set of thank yous.

Our patrons have opened up a door of potential that I didn't imagine this early on. We love the internet because it enables us to connect with people we would otherwise never have met.

We have listeners in over 70 countries, many of which are closed to missionaries. But we got in.

I believe with all my heart that if the Apostle Paul were alive today, he'd totally be using the internet to spread the Word of God.

But even with such a powerful tool, your patronage is allowing us to connect with even more people.
