52. The Real Trans Identity

One of the most damaging aspects of sin upon the soul of fallen man is that it will lead a person on a never ending goose chase to find their true self or their true identity.

Now, unfortunately this quest bears about as much fruit as a group of first year boy scouts going on a snipe hunting quest in the dark.

Yet sin constantly propels humanity onward like a hungry beast chasing the elusive carrot.

Instead of looking outside of ourselves to the one true God who is blessed forever, sin will coax men and cajole women to search for their identity within their gender, their sexual preferences, their body size, wealth, status, children, careers, emotions, diseases, and virtually everything else.

This is the very picture of idolatry. Finding yourself defined by and controlled by the creaturely instead of the creator.

Romans 1 25, which will lead nowhere but hell. Today, the most pervasive and pernicious campaign to derail human identity in my humble opinion is the transgender movement.

Like all idolatrous movements that have come before it, it has its own myth concerning its version of the fall, redemption and future glory that it shamelessly puts forward to its unsuspecting victims.

Now, instead of seeing the fall, the separation from the one true God, transgender ideology sees that they have been separated from the correct set of genitals, which becomes fuel for their version of salvation.

Instead of repenting and accepting God who designed them turning to Christ for regeneration and hope and then living by the spirit for sanctification, the transgender community promotes and promises a salvation that can only come if you will surgically remove your breasts, chemically castrate your penises and take dangerous hormone therapies to make anys and outies.

The Bible says that God surgically removes the flesh, which is our sinful nature, our old man and the by the spirit of God, God removes that propensity towards sin at the flesh and he gives us new creation, hearts, minds, affections.

One day he will give us a new creation body. The transgender movement literally reduces that glorious gospel down to a scalpel cutting off body parts.

If you submit to dr Waldman's madness, becoming a modern day Frankenstein, according to the transgender movement, then you can have a mirage of hope.

You'll be promised freedom and salvation from the sin of being born to the wrong body, but that salvation is only skin deep.

Tragically, this false gospel has led to disastrous outcomes for many people who instead of finding their version of heaven on the other side of the scalpel have found only hellish depression, phantom pains and the despair of unmet expectations, leading many to commit suicide and their hopelessness.

So clearly the trans myth of salvation has robbed people of vitality and hope.

We must forcefully respond against it. And for the next moment,

I just want to describe that's the false trans identity. I actually want to describe what the real trans identity actually is.

You see whether a man or woman identifies as transgendered or is in the process of transitioning or holds a megaphone as a trans activist, their actual identity does not come from the presence of unwanted body parts or activism, but in the fact that they are a transgressor against the living

God. That's the real trans identity. That's their true fallen nature is that they are transgressors under every aberrant sin.

Every deviant craving or misplaced affection is the painful truth that we have all rebelled against God and that we've all embraced confusion and lies instead of truth.

The Bible says that all people have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans three 23 and together we have all become worthless in our sin and there is nothing within us, not one modicum of righteousness that can fix everything that has been broken inside of us.

Mark seven, 20 through 23 because of that hope for the transgender community and for every other transgressor will not come from remaining in our sin, but by believing in the

Lord Jesus Christ and turning from our sin and embracing the new identity that Jesus has purchased for us on the cross.

Paul says in first Corinthians six, nine through 11 or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?

Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God and such were some of you, but you were washed and you were sanctified and you were justified in the name of the

Lord Jesus Christ and by the spirit of God. First Corinthians six, nine through 11. Paul is teaching us a very powerful truth here.

Christians do not remain in their sin, but they flee from it. He's saying that the only transitioning that's going to fix the transgender community and all of the rest of the transgressors on this earth is to be transferred by Jesus out of the realm of darkness and into his kingdom of marvelous light.

First Peter two nine, we must be washed, sanctified and justified in the name of the

Lord Jesus Christ by the power of the spirit so that our sin is no longer the most important reality about us in the present, but is in the past crucified with Christ.

The hope that this will bring cannot be understated. Paul tells us this in the second letter of the

Corinthians chapter five 17 when he says, therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.

The old has passed away. Behold, the new has come. So therefore the trans identity that all of us share in our birth and in our sin is that we are all transgressors.

Now listen to the logic of what the gospel does. The gospel actually does something new to us and it trans is us in a sense.

Listen to this. Every Christian today also has a trans identity. We're not just transgressors anymore.

No, in our sin we were once transgressors, but Jesus gracefully graciously transferred us out of Satan's domain and out of his dominion and transplanted us into his family so that we can now translate the gospel in all languages, transmit that gospel to all people, transforming the world according to his image until the glory stay when he transitions us into new incorruptible flesh where we're going to live with him forever.

You see, transgenderism is a philosophy that just aims too low and accomplishes far too little.

Our identity is not in our genitals. Our identity is not in cutting off our physical flesh.

Our identity comes from the fact that Christ has cut away our spiritual flesh and will one day give us perfect bodies.

Our salvation doesn't come temporarily by cutting away our organs. Our identity comes from the

Lord Jesus Christ who's making us new creations. You see, as Christians, we have to first and foremost understand what the gospel has done.

We used to be transgressors. Maybe there's some listening today who used to struggle with transgenderism or homosexuality or lying or robbery or murder, you know, pick your sin gluttony, but that's no longer identity.

That's the hope of the biblical message is that though we used to be identified with our sin in Christ, now we are identified with him.

That's the first thing Christians, we need to understand our identity. The second is we need to pray that the

Lord would awaken and that he would save and that he would redeem men and women who are being lied to and who are being carved up by wicked doctors and social justice hospitals and, and who need more than anything to hear and experience the hope and the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ.

Let us always brothers and sisters be ready at all times to share this gospel with whoever will listen.

Just as first Peter says in, in a chapter three verses 15 through 16, but sanctify

Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you yet with gentleness and with reverence and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who are a vile, your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame.
