The church is marked by the Greek word ekklesia, which means called out ones, those who have been called out of the world and placed into the kingdom.

And the church is comprised of all born -again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, the whole number of the elect, who have been, are being, and will be redeemed from their sin with Christ as their head, as promised in and by the

New Covenant. Notice this doesn't say any one particular denomination is the church. The church is not marked by a denomination.

The nature and characteristics of the church. First, it acknowledges Jesus as Lord. Second, it's formed by the

To equip the saints for the work of the ministry. So these people, although they are workers in the ministry, their job is to equip you for the work of the ministry.

So if you're a Christian, guess what? You're in ministry, whether you realize it or not. So accept the teaching that you get, make good application of it, and pass it on.

That's how the church grows. We are a people who can continually communicate the kingdom of God to the people around us.
