This is a ministry of striving for eternity What does it mean to be created in the image of God?

Some religions have some confusion with this If you look at say

Mormonism You're going to see that they believe that being made in the image of God means that if you look at man

You see what God looks like. They would say that God was once a man like you and I Flesh and bones and everything and that we're made in his image.

In other words He was once a man. We are now men and therefore that's what it means we end up seeing that being a child of God is not something that we can turn to and Say that everybody is a child of God the way

Mormonism would we see in John 1 12 that it says but to all who receive him who believe in his name

He gave the right to become a child of God. So some will say that being the image of God is being a child of God Well, no, it's not that either.

So what does it mean to be made in the image of God? Well, very simply it means that we have certain attributes that animals do not have that are like God God has

Attributes some that are communicated to man and some that are not You can look at those attributes that are communicated to man

That's what means to be made in the image of God or created in his image It is the idea that we share certain attributes that animals would not share

It makes us different than the animals not that we're God But that we have certain attributes they don't and we do this podcast is part of the striving for eternity
